The management of this place is absolutely terrible and unhelpful when issues arise. Don't trust…read moreanyone here or from the company even a little bit. Initially, everything seemed great. The security was decent, there was plenty of space, and the temperature was controlled to a comfortable level. It was worth the slight premium. It was a bit annoying that access wasn't 24/7 considering how much we paid, but I could overlook that. Then, prices started increasing every few months. I understand that the entire industry does this, but it seemed excessive. Then, they began construction on the second floor. The noise, dust, and inconvenience were bothersome, and there was no compensation. Thankfully, I wasn't forced to move on my own dime like others. One day, I came to start unpacking and noticed a section of our belongings that had water damage. Initially, I thought it was caused by a leaking pipe, but upon closer inspection, water was flowing down from the second floor, rolling along the I beams and dripping onto our stuff for who knows how long and how much. It seems to be the same issue as this review: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ShTjDuewUGoj2wad9?g_st=ic. All attempts to resolve the issue ended with the company stating that since I didn't use their insurance, they couldn't offer any compensation, replacement, or rental refund. This seems unreasonable and goes beyond the terms of the contract that absolves them from liability. Either the roof, second floor, or both were not properly constructed, allowing water to flow along the I beams. You can see rusted water drop marks on multiple I beams. These beams are completely exposed and there's nothing installed to protect the storage units from water or debris from the second floor. Since they were aware of the issue from the review I mentioned earlier and didn't take any action, it appears to be gross negligence. I also highly doubt that they would even consider addressing the real issue and refunding partial rent if we had their insurance. Regardless of whether we have insurance or not, the website guaranteed dryness and a storage satisfaction guarantee. If you decide to stay here, make it a short stay, cover your belongings completely, and request a different unit if you have any beams or pipes above your unit. And pray that nothing else goes wrong.

The…read moremanager, Rebecca, has been one of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in a customer-facing role. I have an actual recording of her raising her voice and yelling at me for simply asking a question -- not arguing, not complaining, just asking a question. And it didn't stop there. My husband called the facility separately with a simple question of his own, and she yelled at him too. A customer calling to ask a question should never be met with that kind of response -- ever. This is not someone who should be managing a facility or interacting with customers. Her behavior is hostile, inappropriate, and frankly unacceptable. So I did what any reasonable person would do -- I contacted corporate and asked to speak with the district manager. I started calling in early December, once or twice a week, sometimes more. Customer service told me the district manager would return my call within 48 hours. It took him nearly three months. Eric finally called me back at the end of February, and after all that waiting, I was met with nothing but attitude and dismissiveness. Rather than listening or showing any empathy, he essentially told me to find somewhere else to store my belongings because of some late payments. What Eric apparently didn't stop to consider is that I have been dealing with serious health issues and have been in and out of the hospital -- not that a paying customer should ever have to justify that to be treated with basic respect. The lack of professionalism and compassion from someone in a district manager position was truly shocking. When we arrived, the requested appliance truck/dolly was not available because u-haul doesn't necessarily guarantee accessories will be available, only that they'll try. I don't blame the people at Westlake Storage Solutions for this. This is a distribution of supplies issue for u-haul to work out. The folks at WSS gave us helpful pointers regarding protecting ourselves regarding in/out mileage and identifying pre-existing damage to the vehicle. They also went out of their way to contact the other local locations to see if there were any of our requested dollies available. When that search came up empty, we were provided a smaller cart and a ratcheting strap that worked as he had promised. We had no issues getting our move done. His confidence in the backup plan gave us confidence. This is a new location for u-haul. The site looks like it is still being set up, but the crew is hustling and knowledgeable and helpful. And if we need a u-haul in the future, we'll consider them first.

This evaporation spikes the humidity in your unit, creating the perfect damp, stagnant conditions for mold to feed on your belongings.)
