    I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the uBreakiFix - Mills Civic Pkwy…read morelocation. I initially brought my laptop in for a broken screen and paid a $57 diagnostic fee. I was told the screen could be replaced with full touchscreen functionality if I paid the higher price of $321, which I agreed to. The touchscreen worked intermittently for about three months. After repeated issues, I took the laptop to a nationally well known repair company for a full diagnostic. They determined that there was no proper driver installed to support touchscreen functionality, and that the touchscreen hardware installed was not compatible with my computer and never should have been installed. I returned to the Mills Civic Pkwy location multiple times--four visits total. Each time, the touchscreen would work briefly (2-3 days) and then fail again. Eventually I requested a refund under the 1 year warranty and was directed to Asurion. Asurion confirmed they could only reimburse me with approval from the Mills Civic Pkwy location. Despite providing an independent diagnostic report confirming the incorrect installation, I was repeatedly told to bring the laptop back again. Only after months of issues did they finally claim they would now install a new drive--raising serious questions about what had been done during prior visits. I ultimately lost all confidence in this location. I have had excellent experiences at the Ankeny uBreakiFix location for years, but the Mills Civic Pkwy store does not provide the same level of service or accountability. I strongly recommend avoiding the Mills Civic Pkwy location.

Everything from their quick turnaround in shop repairs to their even faster REMOTE service. I can't thank them enough for saving me from disaster numerous times. Ther have been numerous times over the years that they bailed be out of what I thought was the end of my ocmputer, but for them it was such a tiny thing it was no charge and less than four minute phone call. I have so much faith and trust in them, I just let them go on my PC. It takes more time if I start asking "my dumb questions" because I generally don't comprehend what is going on anyway. I put my projects in their hands and trust them completely. Most the time I feel like I would easily paid more for what they do / did. They are very reasonable and courtious. I think I've worked with all but maybe one of the staff and have always been happily satisfied. I agree with them getting the BEST IN TOWN AWARDS they have received. Keep up the good work.     Took in a desktop PC that was running slow and they thought right away the problem was the…read moremechanical hard drive. I originally went in on a Thursday,. and they suggested I come back in the following Monday so that they could get to it more quickly. I brought it back in that Monday, and hadn't heard back, so I called Friday and they told me it looked ok overall (no viruses, etc.), but the hard drive replacement should help. I told them to go ahead with the work. I got a call the following Wednesday afternoon telling me it was done. The first week was a holiday week, so the swap took just over 6 business days. The fix is fantastic! All the files, etc. were cloned perfectly to the new hard drive, which is amazingly faster than the previous one. From looking at the work order, I can see where they did the work pretty efficiently, they just didn't contact me to move ahead as promptly. The computer was done 2 days before I was notified it was ready, and there was a day lag from evaluation to me calling them to check in and move ahead with the new hard drive. So, all in all, I'm very happy with the end result and the work that was done. There were just some opportunities to get things moving a bit faster to cut down on the time I was without the computer.
