We visited this business and initially all seemed well, he talked the good talk and mentioned since my daughter was military he'd provide a discount. Come to find out he inflates the prices for military personnel then provides a "discount" that actually ends up costing more than prices for the general public. A simple screen change/repair I've paid $40-$50 for the same exact phone but we were desperate as her phone was inoperable due to the broken screen thus leaving no other option since she was to ship out the next day. I ended up paying $150.00 after "discount". People like this should be put out of business taking advantage of our military members. Unpatriotic POS. I confronted the guy right after he switched it out that the quality of the screen was super terrible, but he tried to say that this is the brand they use all the time without any issues. I told him he needs to be upfront with the customers that his quality is not as good as the original one before providing any service. Monday afternoon they found my phone!!!! I immediately call AT&T and Asuruon and they tell me they can't intercept the order and not to accept it. So, I am driving home all happy and I call my son who is on the spectrum by the way and asked if he wanted Chili's for dinner. I told him to tell the agent the phone is no longer needed. Apparently, he had just signed for me thinking he was being helpful and ran to catch the tech who's name is Desiree by the way to tell her thats OK. Desiree refused to take the phone back ( my son handed the phone to me) and I shared that my son did not know what he was signing. She said she did not care that he had Autism, he is over 18. She refused to give me her name or her supervisors name and left my son distraught because he had signed something he didnt understand. This was truly an easy fix and a lesson for me to reinforce with ny son the importance of signing for something without understanding. Desiree needs some social skills and common sense training. Asurion needs a new policy and that is a multifactor check fir signatures! I am going to give them a chance to fix but I dont know how. Now, I have a phone that I have to return at cost and time. One of the shops quoted me for $120, which to me is very expensive. However this store quoted a reasonable price. So I went to the store in Gurnee Mills and they fixed it in just 20 minutes while I walked around the mall doing some window shopping. I was really happy with my experience here…read more Earlier this week I decided to get a new iPhone SE preferably in Rose Gold. Little did I know the SE was a hot ticket item and in short supply especially ones in Rose Gold. Even Apple Stores had 0 in stock! With a waiting list of over a month! Thanks God a SE was located at this AT&T store in my metal. So George and I zipped on up here blaring Bob Seger in our SUV, walked in and were helped immediately. Daniel B took care of me and he was really friendly and efficient. The whole thing went very fast. I liked he helped me select a case and screen protector and applied them carefully. The case selection was small esp for my model, but I found one that matched with rose gold shavings floating in lucite (I still am going to get another one with a pic on the outside of G probably). I appreciated he gave me a tip that if you watch videos esp on YouTube it can use data more that surfing the net or message boards. He and most people have no idea this, but I watch YouTube a lot! Another thing i liked was he didn't chit chat with his coworkers. Def at another AT&T store but EVEN at Apple Stores I've had Genius Bar employees chat or make remarks about the customers or sarcastic remarks about their devices or issues while on the floor or helping me. One more thing is the location wasn't really that out of the way since its by many highways and two tourist attractions (Gurnee Mills ginormous outlet mall & Great America theme park) plus a bunch of other strip malls.
