I went to these guys because I own a Nexus 6 and they were one of the only local options that I had to repair a broken screen. The technician was an African American fellow that claimed to be the manager. When I received my "repaired" phone everything appeared to be as it should, with the exception of the clarity of the screen. (I assume they used a non OEM screen, but I was happy with it) A couple days went by and I noticed that the screen had risen nearly 1/4 in. and revealed it had been taped down instead of properly attached. II remved the back panel to investigate further. All 22 T3 Torx screws had been stripped. All but 5. Those were missing completely. I work out of town so it took a week until I could make it in to see them. When I did, I mentioned originally I intended to do the work myself but couldn't find the special T3 screwdriver to do it. I explained that nowhere in any tear down of the device had I seen the screen being taped. He seemed frustrated and told me that I was wrong. He asked to see the device and roughly peeled the back panel off using no tools just fingernails and force. (there is an electronic ribbon that sticks to the massive amount of tape he applied to the back panel as well. I think that is where the next issue comes about.) He told me that he can fix it, but will just tape it again and the stripped screws had to be from me. I told him to forget it and give me back my phone. I went to my car and tried to power it on. The screen remained blank. I brought it back inside and explained that it worked fine before he touched it. After about 20 minutes of being treated like I was scamming him, he agreed to look at it. He wanted to hold on to it for a day. I reluctantly allowed this. I then received a phone call telling me that my mother board was fried and it would cost $250 just for the part. (he must be out of his mind!) I asked to speak to the owner. The owner was conveniently out of town and he refused to give me his phone # or have him call me. I said that I did not want him to replace the motherboard. He said that he would at least fix the screen. I recently picked the phone up. The screen is still hanging off and the phone will not power back on. I asked for a refund for the $250 I paid for the screen and he refused. I was assured that the owner would contact me about the issues. It has been a week so far and I have heard nothing. Bottom line is, these guys are TERRIBLE. If you take anything to them then you are only enabling them to continue these acts. I got better customer service at Comcast. I spent $500+ for this phone and $250 for the repair only to have a really expensive deformed paperweight. read more
