Not wanting to spend $150 at the Apple store, I asked at EZ Fix if they could replace the screen. No problem, the employee said, it would cost half of Apple's fee, but I would have to leave it overnight because the part wasn't in the store. What she neglected to tell me was that the Home button on the iPhone 7 is tied to the screen. If you don't get an official Apple screen replacement, your Home button won't work. Try using your iPhone without the Home button. It's hell. What's worse, when I then took it to the Apple store in desperation, they refused to work on it because I had a non-sanctioned screen replacement.

I finally got it fixed and less than a week later white lines were all over my screen and it was not functional. I got it fixed at another store and was told that I had used parts in my phone which is likely why it broke so quickly. When I called for a refund I was told it was ridiculous and again "this never happens" and that he was offended that the other store suggested that he didn't use new parts.
