If I could give zero stars for my recent experience with Pets Friend I would. I have used Meryl in…read morethe past for my older dog and I admit I have never had an issue. However, I now also have a 15month miniture daschund, Meryl agreed to look after our dogs in and Oct and asked for a sleep over for Olive to see how it went. I dropped Olive off at 10am, received a message at 12pm to say she had to do a walk for half an hour and left Olive at home alone and said she barked the whole time and she wasn't sure she was going to settle. Also that she had tried digging by Meryls side gate. She is not normally a digger, but I am assuming she was stressed from being left alone so soon after being left, in a strange house. At 12:15 she told me she was not sure this was going to work, so I went to go pick her up and asked how i arranged the return of the overnight stay. No answer. When I got there Olive was stressed I asked again for a refund for the overnight stay and was told I could only have £17 back of the £37 charge as she was charging me a day rate even though Olive was only there for 2 hours and left alone for half an hour of that. I have since chased for a refund to then be quoted T & C's saying refunds aren't given if payment is made within 2 weeks of stay, although she only sent me an invoice 7 days before hand. I am utterly disappointed in how Olive was looked after and how I was treated after being a customer for a number of years. I will under no circumstances ever leave my dogs with The Pets Friend again.
