Unfortunately, my overall experience here was disappointing. When I called to schedule my Groupon appointment, I believe the gentleman who answered the phone was named Edwin. I found the interaction to be unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable. He expressed frustration about the amount the business receives from Groupon, but as a customer, that really isn't something I should have to deal with. I was simply calling to schedule a service I had purchased. The massage therapist herself was very nice and did a good job. The massage felt good, and I want to make that clear because my concerns are not directed toward her. However, I was surprised that there was no intake form and that I wasn't asked any questions about what type of massage I wanted, areas of concern, injuries, allergies, or sensitivities before the massage. As a client, especially when you're going to be undressed for a massage and products such as lotions or oils are being used, I feel those basic questions are important for comfort and safety. I also felt rushed when I arrived and didn't feel like much was explained to me as a first-time client. Personally, I want to feel comfortable, informed, and safe before getting on the table, and I didn't really get that experience here. There was also an issue with the length of my appointment. I had purchased a 90-minute massage through Groupon, but the massage initially ended after about 60 minutes. I had to ask why I had only received 60 minutes when I had paid for 90. They did end up providing the additional 30 minutes, which I appreciated, but I shouldn't have had to catch the mistake myself. Overall, while the massage therapist was kind and provided a good massage, the customer service, lack of intake process, rushed experience, and confusion regarding the appointment length left me dissatisfied. Based on my experience, I personally would not return.

She is knowledgeable and continues to explore new techniques and things to try. One of my most favorite additions is some heated bamboo stick she uses in parts of her sessions. I also love her stone massages (especially during the cold MN winters). Dana will tailor your massage to your needs; you only need to communicate what they are. For example, she helped me so much with scar tissue and flexibility after I broke my arm (humerus bone) one year. If I tell Dana about a certain problem that she doesn't know how to treat off the top of her head, she takes the time to research in the reference books she keeps in her office.
