Had a wonderful therapeutic, deep tissues massage by Raouf. He's a very nice guy, very knowledgeable at what he does, and thorough explained the procedures. I was skeptical about the outcome right after my session because my body ached all over. The told me to rest and not go to the gym until a day or two. I was going to make another appointment for a follow up but I didn't need too. My upper back pain had been relieved and I'm healed from all these years of back pains and suffering. The five stars is for the massage itself, not the facility or the service. A few helpful things first- Serenity Massage shares a space with Body Builders. It is easy to walk right past. Maybe I missed part of the facility, but the picture listed is NOT what it looks like. If you try to call, chances are you will have to leave a message and get a call back. (Or just call, they called me back simply off missed calls.) I found a groupon Serentiy Massage, which made the price one that I could not refuse! ok- on to the massage- I have had several different massages in my life. I've had some where you just lay there and feel good about someone rubbing oil on you. I've had some where your body is contorted in painful ways and you aren't sure what mental illness you suffer from that you would pay someone for such treatment. Raouf Sultan gave the perfect balanced massage. I went because I had tension building in my neck and shoulders, but also because I am recovering from a sports injury and the swelling was bad. Who knew that Roulf had training in sports medicine, chiropractics, and massage? It was perfect. He talked me through the treatment to make sure the pressure was appropriate and told me where my trouble points were and how to prevent them in the future. I left feeling amazingly better; moreover, I slept like a baby and felt even better the next day! Unfortunately, I was only visiting the Twin Cities so I am unable to visit Roulf more often.
