To come out for an estimate, it was $150, which would apply to the cost. I didn't notice on the estimate I received, the BTU was lower than what was being replaced by 10k BTU (original heater was 35k BTU). It was my oversight by not confirming with Max that it would be the same BTU. Lessons learned. He did explain that 35k is overkill for the area being heated....roughly 500 sqf and the lower heater BTU of 25k would last longer. The installers were neat and tidy and made sure they cleaned up the area after installation. The cost is definitely on the high side $2,200 (cost of the wall heater was $724 plus a new thermostat). It took about 2 1/2 hours to install. So labor was definitely on the high side. Hindsight, I would've gotten a couple of more estimates.

Miguel recently replaced my gas line and he and his team did an amazing job. He took the time to check all the lines and I feel safe knowing everything is working correctly. Both jobs look great and the area was cleaned up after the work was complete. I feel that each job was priced fairly. Fabian can promptly at 3pm and looked at my system and showed me what was wrong - I had a blown surge protector and that was why my HVAC wasnt blowing cold air. Absolut Airflow had quoted me the day before and their technician told me I needed a brand new furnace AND air conditioning unit!!!!! Showed up 15 minutes into my 2-hour service window and before he set a foot inside my house, put covers over his boots which my carpets greatly appreciated. Did a thorough inspection of my furnace, air purifier filter, and A/C unit before cleaning the A/C. Said everything was healthy for an older system and didn't try to bullshit me or insult my intelligence. Guess which HVAC company I will never contact again and which one I would.

I called Advantage Air because my AC wasn't cooling. Their technician ran a paid diagnostic but…read morewould not open the unit, told me the refrigerant charge "seemed adequate," and proposed a coil cleaning of $545-$1,195 without ever looking into the system to see if it was dirty, to try to identify the problem. I got a second opinion. When the second company opened the system (originally installed by Advantage Air company), they found roughly two gallons of water inside the sealed refrigerant circuit, refrigerant leaking over the motor, a failed metering valve, an emergency water shut-off that wasn't connected and an unsecured exhaust line -- all documented with photos and video. The coil wasn't dirty; the system was contaminated and improperly sealed. I'd encourage anyone to get a second opinion before authorizing an expensive "cleaning," and to insist the technician show you what they're diagnosing. This system has only ever been worked on by Advantage Air. The system is basically new; it's eight years old. I purchased this home three years ago.
