10/10 experience! I live in Texas and was searching for a local family-owned flower shop to order a birthday bouquet for a friend who just moved to Chicago. I am a researcher, and found about 10 shops near where my friend lived to choose from. Celeste's Flower Shop was probably the 3rd or 4th one I looked at, and as soon as I read their About Us page on their website and saw their adorable storefront on Google Maps - I was sold! I shopped on their website and chose the "You're my Sunflower" bouquet with 5 sunflowers, added a vase, and a custom note. My friend shared the pic of the bouquet she received and I am so impressed! I think it looks even better than the photo shown on their website! (Which is often NEVER the case - especially with large retailers like 1-800-Flowers.com... Usually the flowers look worse in person vs the online photo.) Way to go, Celeste's! They also hand-wrote the message I provided on the note card! Such a nice touch. Other flower shops often print these notes, which comes across less personal. You can really tell they truly care about each individual experience and order. They were even super quick to respond when I emailed for an ETA on the flower delivery, and they were on time as well! Highly recommend this place! read more

I placed an order on Saturday for a birthday arrangement scheduled for pickup Monday afternoon. I drove nearly two hours because this business came highly recommended. When I arrived at 5 PM (their website states they close at 6 PM), the shop was closed. I had to reach out MYSELF to confirm I was even at the right location. While they did provide a valid reason for closing early, the issue is the complete lack of communication. As a business, if you know you won't be able to fulfill an order or stay open during posted hours, you should notify your customer in advance--especially when there is an active order scheduled for pickup. What made this more frustrating is that they were actively posting on social media the same day (on TikTok) but couldn't take a moment to inform a paying customer. Although I was refunded, I lost time, gas, and most importantly, the person this was intended for never received her arrangement for her birthday. Very disappointed. read more

I messaged the store regarding bouquets on Saturday morning and was told the availability. When I arrived I ended up ordering 4 bouquets for my family and myself I had to get one for myself after seeing Miriam's beautiful creations. The flowers are good quality, nicely arranged and accesible. I regularly purchase arrangements for my home and feel like this is now going down as a regular florist I can trust. In contrast to other stores I feel they have the appropriate options for vases for your arrangement if you want to add one with your order. I've had experiences where the store only stocks one size. I dropped off my own container and they created a show-stopping arrangement for my bestie's 40th birthday party. I also asked for a bouquet of loose flowers for my own vases. I was able to make three different arrangements out of the fresh, fragrant flowers they selected for me. Celeste's team was prompt, professional, consultative and creative. I really enjoy to shop local and when my grandma passed away I knew I wanted to go to a small business for her flower arrangement. She's a HUGE fan of flowers and I wanted to pick out something special. I went in person to pick and arrangement and even decided to pay ahead. When the day of my grandmothers wake came I realized the arrangement wasn't delivered. My husband called hoping there was just a delay in delivery but they admitted they forgot. The arrangement wasn't made. They offered to make another one (similar to the one I chose) and send it over 2.5 hours before the wake ended. Not only was I saddened by the obvious but I also had to deal with the disappointment of this whole transaction. It's prom season and I wanted a beautiful corsage for myself to take to prom. I walked in the shop and the smell of cigarettes was all over the air. Both the husband and wife were still working on their flower decorations for a wedding when I asked her how much a prom corsage would be and she said 25 dollars. I showed her the reference picture of what I wanted my corsage to look like and she said that was fine the price was still $25. I was fine with that because of how big i thought it was going to be. I payed for my corsage right then and there and left. I picked it up the day of my prom on a Saturday and was stunned at what she handed me in such a hurry. She gave me the plastic box with the corsage inside and told me to put it in the fridge when I got home which I did. I was so disappointed in my corsage because of how little it was and how much I payed for it. I wanted it to be big and beautiful but it was so small. I walked in yesterday to order a bouquet for my Mom's birthday. The woman in the shop tried to sell me a dozen roses for $45 dollars, when I pointed out a sign on the wall listing the individual rose price as $3- it was very awkward. Plus she was trying to get me to select a bouquet to be picked up two days later, rather than getting roses prepared fresh. The place is shady. read more
