Lots of fun with the shipped cookie decorating kits. While the cookies themselves were not liked by the kids, they loved to lick off the frosting and eat the toppings! Plenty of frosting (red, white, blue and yellow) to decorate with, a lot of sprinkles and chocolate chips, too! You can also use your own cookies and just use the decor inside. And it kept the kids entertained at multiple households, which was fun and calming for the adults, who also could have fun decorating if they wanted. read more

My daughter had a bake your own cupcakes (from scratch) party here over the weekend (on 4/15/18). Her and a handful of kids ages 5-11, all had a 'sweet' time. Upon getting ready to bake, the kids were told to line up in the party room and each washed their hands before touching anything in the kitchen; which by the way, was super clean and organized - thanks Mike. Our party had 15 kids and one adult (yes, adults can bake too) - the basic party package includes 15 children and you have the option to just pay per child over that count. I loved that they offer a full package deal - the themed parties are a little extra but totally worth it (saves you lots of running around). Our party included the concept, the unicorn theme which extended to the tablecloths, cups, napkins, plates, and decor. Better still, they even included the birthday cake (I didn't have to special order it from anywhere)! On the cake, they added lollipops as decorations, custom colored chocolate/candy melt bark in the unicorn theme, candles, and real My Little Pony unicorn figures. An awesome presentation and cake! The deal included balloons for the entire group and a chocolate star with sprinkles lollipop. Once in the kitchen, each person baking received a mini spatula, a spoon, a mixing bowl, and a muffin tin to start. The ingredients were pre-measured in small plastic tasting sized cups and ready to be mixed upon instruction by the nice instructor/manager, Mike. You can tell he was the experienced baker as he provided icing tips and showed his handiwork in frosting the cupcakes with the frosting tool. He demonstrated and provided assistance as well all throughout the kitchen experience. Two-three helpers were on hand in the kitchen to distribute paper towels, clean the stations, and offer their help, should anyone need it during the process. I must give Kudos to our designated party helper, Christine. She was full of energy and happily assisted with helping each child in the kitchen and in our private party room as we needed. She ran back and forth refilling the drinks, serving the pizza (other food options avail but we chose this) to a loud and hungry group, and served the birthday cake. She had her hands full and never broke a sweat. I was very pleased with her service through the whole party. Side note: I chose a Unicorn theme (they have plenty more to choose from) and everything was picture-esque. Balloons were on the table as decorative centerpieces for the picnic style tables. We never once felt rushed to leave the party room even after we were done with our cake. They also wrapped up the three tiered leftover cake for us, separating the top two making a mini cake to bring home. And we got to keep all the My Little Pony figures. My daughter was very happy with the party, as was I. Totally recommend and worth the price. Just be sure to finalize flavors and colors beforehand. BTW, cash or check only!! They do not accept credit cards. Note to Management: the pace of the pizza was a tad slow because of the timing of you baking however many portions and you can save the environment, don't waste the small plates. Put the entire pizza on the pan and cut it in the party room to serve and recycle each person's plate. It was wasteful tossing those plates after holding a slice for a matter of seconds. read more

Nice place for a kid party. Visited Celebrations in the Kitchen for a kid party where the kids got to make cookies. Each kid got to go home with a box full of cookies which was a bit of a surprise. Usually at these parties, the kids go home with one maybe two cookies tops. The cookies were ok, could have used a bit more sugar in my opinion but hey, they were for the kids so,... they also had fresh made pizza for the everyone that was ok for what it was, for a kid party. The room we were put in was kinda small for our group but it was a Sunday during football season and they did have the Jets game on out in the front of the store where there was a TV so some of us guys were outside watching the game. Parking was easy breezy, so overall not a bad spot to have a party on a Sunday afternoon. read more

Such a cute concept. I came her for my boyfriend's niece's birthday party and it was just great. Even I, as an adult, had a blast so I can only imagine how much fun the kiddies were having. They served food for the adults (and also provided unlimited free coffee...even lattes!). Then the kids decorated cookies with the help of some employees. The birthday girl decorated a cake which all the kids ate while the cookies were baking. They got to take their own cookies home in boxes. The kids were thrilled. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE 2-DAY PRIORITY SHIPPING FOR OVER $100. It is ashame I have to write this negative review because I was sooo excited to send these cookie kits for my niece and nephew to try but by the time the cookies came, they were not in the same location. The kits did not ship until 5 days after I ordered them and then took an additional 5 days to ship. I would NOT recommend this company. The customer service is extremely bad. I emailed Mike (who I'm assuming is responsible for customer service) and he did answer one of my emails but not the other one - which was the email with a question about my order after I got my tracking number after 5 days. I then called and spoke to him directly and he proceeded to tell me that the fine print that I "agreed to" states they are not responsible for shipping delays. He also told me that he actually went to fedex and UPS and both told him they could not guaranteed 2-day shipping. I told him he should not have a PROMO going right now which is making the customer pay over $100 for FREE TWO DAY SHIPPING! DO NOT buy anything from this company. We chose this place for a birthday celebration because my niece enjoys baking. Although the children had fun with baking and decorating their own cupcakes which is why they get a 4 star rating. However, the staff who were put on our party lacked enthusiasm and personality which really made us feel uncomfortable to request anything from them. As an educator, I do know that one of the main components to building a connection with children is to have positive energy regardless how one's feel because ultimately this energy transpires into what one does from modeling and role play which I suggest the staff improve on. Despite the staff interaction, my niece and her friends left very happy with their cupcakes. I just highly recommend that the staff receive training on how to positively interact with adults and children. read more

I wish I could give this place a good review but just can't. The concept is cute but service very lacking . It was Expensive so should have gotten much more food . I paid for unlimited pizza for the adults yet it took forever for a pie to come out. Owner was baking them very slowly one as a time. I paid over $40 for a salad which turned out to be a bowl of lettuce that I could have bought for $3. So basically my guests went home hungry . It was embarrassing. We just had my 7 year old son's birthday party here! He chose the "pizza party". It was make your own pizza (which the kids eat for lunch) AND make & decorate your own cookie pizza! The party includes 15 children total, we only had 12, but they set up for the full 15 and made the extra pizzas for us so that the kids could eat more if they wanted. They were little personal pizzas. The kitchen is huge and laid out in a way that allows every child to have their own little space all while still able to see each other. The kids washed their hands and were given their own aprons. They had my son front and center at the table where he and the owner Mike instructed everyone on how to spread their dough and put the sauce & cheese. Then their pizzas were baked and they got the cookie dough for their cookie pizzas which they decorated with sprinkles, chocolate chips, candies, etc and they were also baked. Then they got their pizzas fresh out of the oven and ate them in the party room. They ate their pizzas and then their cookie pizzas came out in an adorable little pizza box for them to bring home. I had also purchased wraps and salad for the adults to eat. We chose chicken caesar wraps and turkey & cheese wraps along with cold italian pasta salad. Everything is made fresh there and it was delicious. They have many other options for adults as well. During the party time, the adults were also served coffee & tea at the cafe at the front of the shop which was included in our package. We had found adorable paper chef hats online and wrote the kids names on them and they decorated them with markers and wore them throughout the party. All of the kids had an amazing time, everyone was friendly and constantly checked on us throughout the party to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed anything. Some things of note that I feel are very important that haven't been mentioned are that when you select your party date & time, your reservation is held for 72 hours and you have to go leave a deposit which can ONLY be done by cash or check. When you pay the remaining balance of your party after your party is over, you must pay the entire remaining balance in CASH only! Which is fine, I just didn't know any of this until I booked the party and being a couple of days after Christmas I was kind of broke and hoping to pay for the party on my trusty credit card like I usually do. The good thing was that the night before, they emailed me a detailed receipt along with an estimated remaining balance so I knew how much cash to bring along. The total included the party, the coffee & tea the extra food we purchased for the adults and it included the cake and gratuities as well. I thought it was awesome that the cake was included! You get to pick your flavors, filling and frosting. Literally from beginning to end, everything is taken care of. It truly is an all inclusive party, you would only need to include an extra favor if you want to. At the end of the party everyone commented that it was the best party ever and on our way out, the owners gave my son a gorgeous handmade decorated gingerbread house and his face lit up! It made his day! I would definitely recommend Celebrations in the Kitchen and with all of their different party options, I'm sure we will come back here for future parties! read more

My sister in law had my nephews 7th birthday party here. There were about 25 kids and can not say enough good things about the party!! First off, it was a nice surprise for the bakery to have unlimited coffees and lattes for all the adults. Since I am a big coffee drinker, a huge plus! The man who led the party seemed to really enjoy instructing my nephew and his friends how to make and decorate the cookies and the process involved in cooking in the kitchen. They had a wide variety of different toppings for the cookie decorating. All of the kids left with lots of cookies and were entertained the entire time which we know is hard to do for 6 and 7 year olds! Dishonest business practices, insufficient supervision, rude owner. This was our second party at Celebrations in the Kitchen, and it will be our last. I'll start by saying how much we enjoyed our previous party, as evidenced by the fact that we came back. We enjoyed the baking and the food was good. The problems started when the owner asked if I wanted to keep a running tab for the coffee bar. I had to remind him that it was included in our contract and I had to retrieve it as proof, so that he didn't charge our guests for something that was supposed to be included. Then, the 28 8 year olds were sent into the room with one teenager who was supposed to serve and supervise them. It wasn't his fault that he was unable to do so effectively; supervising 28 8 year olds is no easy task, especially for a teenager. This employee told the kids to "sing happy birthday as loud as you can." I had no problem with this, and they made as much noise as you would imagine 28 8 year olds with pizza and sugar in them would. The video that I took of the singing abruptly ends with the owner busting into the room and yelling, yes, YELLING at my daughter and her guests: "You're all being very rude!" They were only doing what was told to them by your employee, sir. The whole ride home, and while opening her presents at home, I had to watch my poor little birthday girl ask, teary eyed, "Why did he have to yell at us?" Thanks for the great birthday memories. Then it came time to settle the bill. He said "They were a little loud." (Yes they were, because of the lack of supervision) I explained to him what his employee said, hoping for at least some sort of apology, but he just said "OK". Nice. Finally, what I considered to be the dishonest business practices. Our contract read 15 guests, birthday girl free. He then informed me that it actually meant "14 guests, birthday girl free". Since I didn't want to have an argument in front of my family, I just paid him the extra and left. Great concept to this place, but I would not recommend doing business with this man. read more

The staff was an absolutely pleasure and made the whole process, from calling with questions to booking and putting a deposit and getting contracts to the day off, a seamless and easy one. Came here for a birthday party to make cookies. The staff was really attentive and patient with the 5 year olds. The wraps provided for parents were delicious and the pizza was enjoyed by kids. We just had our 4-year-old's Pizza making birthday party here. It was the easiest and most well-organized birthday party we have thrown to date. The cooking instruction by Mike was easy to follow and age-appropriate. The girls working with children were sweet and attentive. We ordered home-made sandwiches, French fries/chicken nuggets, scones/muffins assortments and fruit salad for adults, and food was absolutely delicious! The coffee service was a major plus as well. The Rainbow Dash birthday cake came out exactly as I requested. The balloons and take-home pizza cookie in a cute little pizza box were adorable. Just enjoyed a well staffed bday party. We had about 20 kids but they will accommodate small groups of 5-6. It was really so much fun to watch the kids, 4th graders right to 10th graders, enjoy every minute of the party. No questions left unanswered and no child missing attention. My daughter had a birthday here about a year ago. It was a great experience. However, when we returned this year for my daughters birthday, it was an expensive money pit. It wasn't personal, the birthday cake was pre made (in the past the birthday girl got to put the icing on it) and they workers were looking to rush you out. I would not recommend it. Nice party for our 6 year old. The kids had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, they pack the parties in so tightly that you show up 10 minutes before your party and there are two other parties still happening in their very tight space. The front of house was littered in dirty plates and empty coffee cups and was so packed we could barely step in. And the kids are rushed through their baking and decorating. Literally, someone was telling my birthday child to "hurry up and finish" to be whisked into the lunch area, and when a child asked for a second (tiny) piece of pizza, the (very young) party hostess seemed visibly pained and said no, that it was already cake time. End-to-end party is 1.5 hrs with another party starting exactly as yours ends. Made for a rather uncomfortable entry and exit. Should be 30 mins between, especially since this is not an inexpensive party. So: our child liked the party but we won't be back for future parties for her or our younger kid due to the conveyer-belt nature of the experience. read more
