Extremely Poor Delivery Service I had a very frustrating experience with Cedra Pharmacy located on Second Avenue in NYC. I went to my doctor on Monday morning, and they were supposed to deliver two medications that day. Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed multiple times. I received a series of text updates stating the delivery would be between 3-6 PM, then between 8-10 PM due to heavy traffic--only for the medications to not arrive at all. The same issue occurred the following day, with no medications delivered. I finally received them on Wednesday night, over 3.5 days after my doctor's appointment. I called on Monday afternoon to speak with Felipe and Pamela, and both assured me the medications would arrive on Monday. Clearly, that was not the case. This was the worst service I've encountered. Do not rely on their delivery service unless you are prepared to wait 3-4 days for your medications. I will not be using Cedra Pharmacy again. read more

Their delivery system is a mess. There is a lack of transparency to the scheduling. No communication from the delivery service. I have attempted a delivery twice, both to be delivered between 8-1 (already a large delivery window). Both times, I received no communication from their delivery team and then was told that they would be delivering it from 1-5. I did not receive my delivery because I have things to do and cannot be waiting all day for a delivery to come, that may not even come. When I called Cedra to see if I can reschedule my delivery, there is no assurance that I can get an early delivery. Their solution was to continue to wait the full window (with potential that it may be delayed). Would try it again if they were able to streamline there delivery operations, but it was very unclear how to even communicate with the delivery team. read more

Since CVS doesn't carry my medicine, I've needed to go to Cedra. I always find the staff to be very friendly and helpful whether on the phone, in person or via their text system. I'm also very impressed by the delivery system and want to give a special shoutout to my most recent delivery people - Nenny who was very friendly and nice and Tanisha who was so friendly and patient with me as I raced home to greet her. read more

I spent over an hour today trying to get them to answer the phone, so I could get them my insurance information for two scripts that my Dr. called in yesterday. I waited on hold forever, only to be hung up on, and then when I finally got to talk with someone, they said I had to call someone else. My Dr. sent a prescription she had written for me to Cedra Pharmacy. Normally, I use a local CVS, but she felt this was the best plan, as the medication was only recently approved by the FDA and she knew that Cedra Pharmacy would handle the transaction seamlessly. The next day, Cedra Pharmacy contacted me to obtain all necessary details. Within a brief time, they filled the script and mailed it off to me via 2 day mail. They also offered to deliver it to me for free. Then the following month, they did the same thing without me having to even call or message them to initiate the transaction- very impressive! read more

Short version: DON'T USE THEIR DELIVERY SERVICE, they sent me a prescription I had cancelled and couldn't reverse the charge for it. Long version: I started seeing a dermatologist in the city who prescribed me a few medications. Because I'm new here and don't have a pharmacy, I went along with it when she said they use Cedra and it's all delivery. For my first order everything was fine. They called me, got my insurance info, verified everything (including what the charges would be), and then sent it. It was delivered to my building the next day and everything went great. Then I went back to my dermatologist a few weeks later and she gave me a new prescription for a minor issue. When I left her office, I remembered that I already had some of that same prescription left from a few months ago and I could just use that, and no longer needed the new one that had been called into Cedra. I had to leave to go out of town right after this and missed a few phone calls from Cedra needing to verify everything for the prescription before sending. When I got back, I called to cancel the prescription (knowing they couldn't have sent it because they can't send anything without verifying information and charges with you over the phone, the reason they call you). I talked to an after hours employee who took my message to cancel the prescription and promised to put it in my file and pass it on. Not once did I tell this gentleman to fulfill the prescription, we didn't even discuss insurance or charges relating to it; all I told him was to cancel it and that I no longer needed it. A week later, I received the prescription in the mail with a receipt on it saying there was a co-pay. I was really mad so I called Cedra, explaining I had been charged for and sent a prescription that I had never verified and that I had actually called to cancel. I was told that because they had sent the prescription it could not be cancelled and I could not get my money back. Excuse me???? I asked to speak to someone else and was transferred to a pharmacist who was confused why I wanted to cancel after receiving an order. Once again I explained the situation and she told me that they are supposed to verify every prescription and any charges with patients BEFORE EVER APPROVING AND SENDING OUT THE PRESCRIPTION. She even told me that if they cannot reach patients to verify the information, the prescription is cancelled and they they're not supposed to send it. I assured her I had never verified the prescription with anyone, and had not talked to anyone except to cancel the prescription. She looked and said she didn't see any note to cancel it and she wasn't sure why it had been sent out if they had not spoken to me on the phone first, but she couldn't do anything and couldn't refund my money. She did offer to make a note reminding everyone there that they need to have contact with patients to verify things before sending prescriptions out. How in the world does this help me? She admitted it was their fault, said she didn't know why it had happened, but instead of being able to refund me all she could do was tell me she'd tell her employees to make sure they'll be more careful in the future. Not okay. Now I have to go through the hassle of disputing the charge with my credit card company and I AM LIVID. NEVER EVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE. read more

I LOVE the staff of the pharmacy. I feel compelled to write a review because of how responsive and efficient they are. I had a severe injury and failed surgery that's left me unable to run around the city like I used to. They always call to ask when I'd like my med delivered. Lightning fast. They ask how I'm doing and return calls. I've never stepped foot in this pharmacy and yet it's the best one I've ever had. I also use a nearby cvs for random meds for my family. They are always confused with insurance tho ive been going for 20 years there. Often out of meds. And never offer to deliver ofc. I've never once had insurance confusion at Cedra and times my insurance didn't cover a certain medication immediately post surgery, they scrambled to find coupons for me. And I paid almost nothing. That level of service is unparalleled in this city and in this day and age. They're a class act and the staff is so friendly and kind, it really is remarkable! read more

New York City is replete with massive faceless, character-free pharmacies. They are cheap and ubiquitous. But with low prices and lots of locations comes generally poor customer service, and a lack of personalization. And that's why I love Cedra. They have gone way above and beyond the standard service that one expects from a pharmacy, and they do so repeatedly and warmly. They deliver in Manhattan, they deal with my insurance company so I don't have to, and they are seemingly experts in everything. Even their bags and packaging is top-notch! I'd recommend Cedra to anyone! And since they deliver, you don't even need to live locally. I wish I could give Cedra 6 stars! But alas, 5 will have to do. i was a bit confused when i entered cedra pharmacy as i felt like i was in a high end boutique and i was as its a pharmacy elite. stopped by to pick up some body wash for a friend and i never saw this brand at cvs or walgreens which means it must be good. its a full service pharmacy and i did mention at the start of the review that the place looks high class and i was treated like that as well. its not your mom and pop pharmacy but has everything and more just like the big chain guys. read more

Similar to another user I visited a Dermatology specialist owned by Bobby Bukka and was forced to use Cedra, even after I stated I would prefer to utilize my own pharmacy. The doctors would not provide prior approval for my pharmacy but did so immediately for Cedra. When I tried to cancel this I was told I would have to wait over a month to have my prescription filled at my ow pharmacy since it was already sent to Cedra. The dermatology office tried to tell me that I would have to pay more for my prescriptions if I didn't use Cedra as my pharmacy. I'm so glad I thought twice about it before providing them with my credit card information. Going to be triple checking my statements to ensure the Dermatology Specialists don't try anything funny either. The staff were overall nice, but there is definietly some thing fishy going on here and it really shouldn't be this difficult to get my prescription filled. Surprising to have read these comments following my visit to Cedra Pharmacy located on 2268 Broadway. I can state that my experience with the staff was great. The girls here were efficient in answering all my questions as I wasn't very familiar with my insurance benefits and etc. This was my first time receiving my medication from Cedra Pharmacy and I am delighted with the way the girls in the back worked with me. In my opinion they were efficient. Their ability to answer all my questions clearly demonstrated how well educated they are in their field of work. Even in such a busy atmosphere, where the phones did not quit ringing, they seemed to be attentive of me as well as those who were calling. I called them to ask if they had specific the ordinary products in stock and the woman I spoke to was incredibly nice and helpful. I was excited to go here because it's the only place in NYC that stocks the ordinary products, and shipping is expensive. Anyway, I happily grabbed my products and went to pay- to discover that both products were insanely marked up. Online, the niacinimide is 5.90. Here it's 12. Seriously? A few dollars is fine but that is literally 2x the price. The vitamin c was only 3 or 4 dollars higher but I could have gotten this stuff carried to my doorstep for $9. The only reason to buy it here is that you can try the texture of the vitamin c serum, which is divisive online and hated by many. I thought it was fine, though I could have bought the whole bottle online for the amount I paid to try it in person. read more

Hands down the worst pharmacy I've ever had to deal with. I tried for weeks to get my prescription refilled, finally got someone on the phone and was informed they no longer were filling that medication and hadn't been for a month and sent me with a number to the manufacturer because it'd been "transferred there". I asked why I was not notified when they were no longer filling that medication and they said they don't notify anyone they wait for them to call! What kind of patient care is that!? Called the number I was given by Cedra for where it was "transferred" to and was informed by the manufacturer that they do not accept transfers from pharmacies only direct prescriptions from a doctor. So I called Cedra again to find out what the heck was going on and this time I was told she "didn't know why they said that because they'd been transferring patients to them for two months" when I asked how it went from the month she originally told me to now TWO months she had no answer and transferred me to the "pharmacist". When I informed the pharmacist he told me it'd been a WEEK. Between the blatant lies, lack of care, the fact I'm no longer able to get a necessary medication because of their lack of care and lies I can't thing of one benefit to this pharmacy. Their stores may be "high end" but for anyone with a genuine chronic illness that needs medication that requires their specialty service and delivery be prepared to face the impact a situation like this is going to have on your health. read more
