I will have to find another tailor. I took in several pair of pants to be hemmed because they were extremely long but when I picked them up, he went way too short so I had him to fix it with what little length was left. When I went back to pick up the pants again, two of them, the hem was just completely let out and it was frayed where you basically could see the cuts he made. I asked him why he did not make a small hem like he did with the other pants and he exclaims that I gave him the pants like that in the first place. The pants were BRAND new and if they had been sent to me like that, I would have returned them to the company I bought them from. And furthermore, if I told you to fix the hem, why would I want the pants to be worn when you can clearly see they've been cut. He tried to go back and forth with me and it was ridiculous. If you have bad memory or are confusing me with someone else, that's fine but please do not act like I brought in any pants that were already cut or frayed like that. You cut the pants because I asked you to make them shorter and now you try to give them to me without a proper hem?! What sense does that even make when you fixed the other hems but not these two and that's what I came in for? He is clearly very confused and I may just end up repurchasing the pants altogether and getting them tailored elsewhere because I'm not feeling confident when I try them on with the shorter length. I actually feel like I'm flooding. read more

Just had to update because that is how amazing she is: The day of the wedding (06/18/2011), I noticed that there was some slight "bunching" on the right side near the hip from where she took the dress in initially (I think I was so excited and pleased with her work the first time that I didn't even notice it). Since I had to get makeup done that morning, I left a bit earlier and decided to take a chance and see if she would be open to fixing it--we had explicit instructions from the bride that the dress should look the same after alterations--and if not, I would have just worn it and dealt with the backlash. It wasn't overly noticeable, but if the bride has expectations, I have no choice but to meet them. Her shop normally opens at 9am on Saturday, but she was there at 8am working. I told her about the dress, tried it on, and she fixed it right there on the spot (took less than 3 minutes)!!! Immensely sweet and professsional (I know she had to be overwhelmed and busy with all of the work she had), she wouldn't even take my offer to pay for the extra work she did. She said "it's no problem, I always guarantee my work". You cannot beat exceptional customer service like this people. Now I wish I didn't review her...I want to keep her for myself lol! read more

I bought a dress that was mistagged (the price tag that was sewn into the dress was 4 sizes bigger than the size that was marked on the price tag). I got it for a really great deal though and didn't want to return it. So, I decided to try and find someone to take it in for me. After calling around to a few tailors in the area to get approximate prices I checked online to see if there were any reviews of these tailors that I was going to try. I found this tailor shop. I hadn't even called Cedeno's but this was the only tailor with really good reviews. So, without even calling to get a price I took it here to get it taken in. At that point I didn't even care about the price, the reviews on Cedano's were so great that I figured it would be worth it. The seamstress there is FANTASTIC!!!! Insanely low price, quick service and great work! She only charged me $20 to take in the dress! The other quotes I got started at $45 and went to $300. I have this adidas pants that were too long, I went to a couple of places, they treated me like I was asking too much because it had zippers at the end. Funny, If the place has a sign outside that says'alterations" that is what they are supposed to do. Finally I went to Cedenos. OMG. She was so willing to do it, so sweet and cheap. I went here on the great reviews of others and was not disappointed! My friend had an appointment to make and we didn't have much time; I figured we could drop it off and pick it up another day. I had a sleeping bag with a broken zipper, brought it in on a Saturday afternoon, and right away the lady behind the counter, Beatrice, said she could fix it in 10 minutes. They are not open on Sundays so this was perfect! My friend went outside to smoke and by the time she was done we went back inside and my bag was already done, fixed good as new! Beatrice was proud to show me her work and was very sweet in general, she actually said that she wanted to make her customers happy and I believe her! I have used this tailor many times, always with a positive result. Yesterday, my 20 year old daughter brought a $49 blazer to have the shoulders taken in. She was told it would be ready today( which it was not needed as a rush). I went with her, and it was taken in way too much and now she cannot wear it buttoned. To make matters worse, he charged us $60. I have paid less for bridesmaid dress alterations, and the blazer cost less than what he charged her. Came here because my local tailor shop charged me $20.00 starting for any alterations on my medical scrubs. My scrubs were wide around the legs. They look like something McHammer would wear. My son needed a patch sewn on his work shirt at the very last minute. I went in on a holiday weekend with little hope to see if it could possibly be done. The gentleman said "Sure, no problem. Come back in a half hour and I will have it for you." Sure enough, it was sewn perfectly and he only charged me $5! I was so grateful and appreciated that he went out of his way to make it happen without so much as a blink. The woman who does the alterations is a SWEETHEART! She fixes EVERYTHING for me! She has repaired tears in the liners of purses, sewn together my dog's bed after she ate a hole in it, replaced an entire zipper (for $7!!!) on a dog bed cover that I melted in the wash, fixed buttons on my wool coat, stitched up some loose seams, etc. She has done so much for me and always has it ready in a timely manner. She does not clean stuff, but I couldn't care less, she can fix anything! read more

I haven't picked up my clothes yet, but when I dropped them off I was told that I owed $120.00. I'm getting a bridesmaid dress taken in -in the bust,waist, and hemmed 2 inches, and a coat taken in under the arms. For the coat I was charged $35 and for the dress $85!!!! Of course I asked for a price list and was told by the owner, Mr. Cedeno, that because " we moved and went up on our prices, we do not have a price list." At that time, I remembered how he and his wife complimented my clothes being altered, and my current wardrobe that I was being taken for a ride. They may do good, even great work, but now that's null and void because I was over charged based on what they believe my ability to pay is. Since it's so close to the date that I'll need the clothes, I decided to allow them to complete the work. However, this will be my last visit to this shop. I am so picky about having my pants fitted just right. I had a lady who charged $25 per pants and did a decent job in LA. When I moved to Vegas, I never could find a good tailor. What impresses me about this lady who runs the tailor shop, is that she works with you to get the work done to perfection and she charges $10. Money aside, her work is impeccable. I was attempting to explain to him the alterations that I needed. He was not responding whatsoever so I had asked him if there was anything wrong? He took my clothing that was on the counter and shoved the pile of clothes towards me and told me to take my clothes somewhere else! I took my daughter's prom dress there to have straps added on and hemmed. The straps were going to be added for support and the dress was too long. The lady there hemmed only the back and left the front alone and the straps she added crushed my daughter so bad that her top parts were hanging out the sides. I asked her to remove the straps since she wouldn't correct them and too please fix the front and hem it correctly. Return the same day she removed the straps and broken the beading on the dress, I then asked her to fix it and she wrapped the bead with thread and sent me on my way .
