Appetizer Sampler
Kyle T.

TLDR: We had an underwhelming time at Cedars. Food was overall decent but didn't stand out to me. Had a hard time with lack of service where we needed to wait a long time to order and flag our waiter down when we wanted a box and the check Food: We had the appetizer sampler (I believe its called the Tandoori Delight on the menu), Coconut Curry with chicken, and the Aloo Paratha. Personally nothing stood out to me but I did appreciate the curry came loaded with protein enough for 2 people to share 1 entree. For spice we ordered medium (2/4 stars) but wished we got medium hot (3/4 stars) Service: This was where we were most disappointed. When we came in we were sat towards the back of the restaurants with a few other parties. It seemed that everyone (including us) had a hard time getting service even though the restaurant didn't appear too busy. We waited a while to order and after we finished the staff never came so I got up and asked for a box and the check. Note: Only a few spots in their parking lot are reserved for Cedars, all other spots are paid parking or there is nearby street parking

Cherry Mango Lassi - CHERRY BLOSSOM SPECIAL
Belldandy O.

I have never been to Cedars Restaurant before even though it is a fairly popular Indian spot in the University District. Fortunately, while I was in the area during the Cherry Blossom Festival, Cedars Restaurant had a special cherry blossom themed item, the Cherry Mango Lassi. Cedars famous mango lassi, elevated with the deliciousness of cherries for a unique twist on a traditional favorite. My boyfriend LOVES mango lassi, so whenever there is a restaurant that serves mango lassi I have to get it to let him know how it is. I ordered to-go since I didn't have the time to dine-in to try other items. I hope I can return back soon to try the food here!

We always looked at that restaurant with my girlfriend and said that we should go, until today we made the decision. First of all, the atmosphere, very calm and perfect for a date. The food was delicious, we loved it very much. The price is good for the food they give plus free rice!!! The service was excellent, all the guys were always very friendly and very helpful. I recommend it 100%

Fragrant steam curls from the pot, turmeric gold and ginger-hot, coconut milk in lazy swirls, a slow simmer as the flavors unfurl. Cumin seeds pop in the oil, cardamom whispers through the broil, coriander, clove, and bay -- a whole spice market in one pan today. The onions melt to amber deep, tomatoes break their skins and seep, chili threads its quiet fire through every layer, rising higher. One spoonful and the whole world hums -- warmth that starts before it comes, a bowl of something old and bright, a pot of grace on a cold night.

Finally visited after seeing so many great reviews about Cedars! We got: Mediterranean Salad, Curry Specialties, Garlic Naan, Butter Masala, and Spinach & Paneer Naan! Everything so so delicious! And very filling! We were basically in awe of everything we ate, how well seasoned every dish was, and how we should've come sooner! Everyone was super kind and helped us get situated into our table, and we definitely will come again!

Has anyone been "shorted" when ordering lunch via app here? Cost is same on GH for lunch and dinner, however I was given a 1/2 portion size than I normally receive (lunch vs dinner hours)

First, I'd like to start by saying, there was nothing wrong with my time or food here at K-street…read moreK-BBQ. We ordered the brisket and kings ribs. I can say the meat looked like high quality and tasted great! The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I personally wasn't a huge fan of the banchan (side dishes) that were offered. There was salad, that had like the full bottom parts of lettuce in it, there was onions in some kind of sauce, kimchi, just not a lot of things I personally like to eat. I would say their banchan definitely leans more towards Asian clientel, so if you go with someone who is a picky eater or not super familiar with asian/korean food, then just be aware of that I'd say. Overall though, I would say come here for the high quality meat! The service was good, but personally, I just won't be returning. I feel like there are other K-BBQ places that meet my taste buds more than this place.

Their menu may not have an all-you-can-eat option, however the serving portions and variety are more than enough. This KBBQ is located in the Redmond Town Center. Their dining space is spacious and perfect for large parties. Their menu features 3 types of combos. We were advised the small size comfortably serves 2 while the large is serves 4. We opted for the small mix combo which had the prime ribeye, beef brisket, king prime short ribs, la seasoned ribs, beef tail flap, pork belly, pork jowl, pork shoulder, and seasoned boneless short ribs. We also ordered a bottle of soju to share. The meats were beautifully presented. They also served an array of banchans including onion salad and lettuce. Service was amazing. Our server always checked in and offered to change our grill pan. Pricing was on par for the meat quality and amount that came with our order. We even ended up with a couple to-go boxes. Overall, I recommend this spot and will be returning to try out the other

I also appreciate how unpretentious this place is. No frills, no fuss, just delicious teriyaki done right. If you're in West Seattle and craving a good teriyaki meal, this is the spot. This place allows online ordering via InKind so I used some of the credits to order some food to-go. It takes about 10 minutes, fairly standard. I got the make your own which is the preferred choice as the make your own is the same price as the other single choice plates, with the exception of salmon. So I got the Bang Bang chicken and teriyaki chicken half and half, with sesame noodles and gyoza ($1.50 extra) for the sides, which is good value as sesame noodles side was $9 versus other sides at $3-5 range. Portions are large. But you are eating a lot of salt. Sesame noodles are overly salty. The teriyaki chicken is salty. Bang Bang chicken is very salty. The rice helps a bit, but there is no relief to the amount of salt they used. Also, prices are very high. This order was $23.50 approximately, which is far above the average takeout plate in Seattle. If you like variety and customizations, this place is viable, but there are better places out there.

Cafe Turko was a nice little surprise in Fremont. We tried the Turkish coffee and pomegranate tea…read moreand both were really good, but honestly the staff might be the best part of the place. Super friendly, welcoming, and the kind of people who make you feel like you've been there before even when it's your first time. We didn't actually come hungry enough for a full meal, which I immediately regretted after looking around. The lentil soup is definitely happening next time, and then I saw the Beyti Kebab coming out of the kitchen... yeah, that basically settled it. So somehow we came in for Turkish coffee and tea and left planning an entire meal for our next visit. I haven't even tried the food yet and Cafe Turko already got me making dinner plans. Well played.

Appetizer portions are very small for the price (especially the dolmas) and the portions in general are very inconsistent (some items have huge portions for the price and some like the family platter we expected to be bigger). The pasta with yoghurt is not very flavorful I would skip and opt for another hummus instead. Presentation of the food is beautiful and the service is amazing, prompt and the servers do a great job so make sure to tip well. Desserts are not worth the price. The ambiance is great and feels authentic to turkey. Parking is street parking and can be difficult to find at dinner time so I would come early. Overall great place for a group or 3-5, I wouldn't reccomend this for a larger group.
