The food is some of the best Mexican cuisine I've had anywhere, with generous portions and consistently great flavor. This has become my favorite restaurant in Winona and the place I recommend first whenever someone asks where to eat. Five stars every time.

Place has been upgraded a bit but looks a little crazy due to Minnesota's FANTASTIC COVID regulations. But all in all, brought back some great memories. Staff was great, on the ball and very friendly. Kids had great meals and said it was all delicious. With the new menu (again, been about 10 years) I did have to browse and settled on the BBQ Burger, and made it a double (standard is 1/3 lb). It came with potato chips or you could "upgrade" to French fried for $2 or waffle or sweet potato fries for $3. When the plates came out, the portions on the "upgraded fries" were rather disappointing. The children's fries were almost double the adults "upgraded" fries. So with that, the additions charge seems rather steep for what you get. Otherwise, it was a great night and the food was delicious. It was nice to come back and relive a few fun memories. The kids definitely had fun and enjoyed their dinner.

Following a rather taxing and disagreeable afternoon at the office, I found myself in desperate…read moreneed of a proper culinary escape to remedy my mood. I ventured into a most interesting establishment in Winona this Friday evening, and it proved to be precisely the tonic I required. The dining room was delightfully serene, with only a select few patrons present a peaceful arrangement that I found immensely welcome given my disposition. Upon my arrival, the gentleman assisting me extended an incredibly warm and friendly greeting. His attentive hospitality was thoroughly consistent throughout the evening, and I found the caliber of service to be entirely satisfactory. After requesting the menu to review their selections, I settled on the Pork Belly Tacos. The waiter politely inquired if I would care to include a side of rice with the dish, which I gracefully declined, and my order was processed with admirable efficiency. I must also commend the interior architecture and design. The venue possesses a wonderfully historic, old-world soul, yet it remains impeccably well-maintained and structured rather than ruined. It is a highly impressive aesthetic that adds an air of refined charm to the experience. The comforting atmosphere and flawless execution completely turned my evening around. I am quite enamored with this delightful Winona find and shall most certainly be returning

As with most restaurants in small towns they are struggling to find staff to service customers. It took some time to get a waitress to take our drink orders and to drink and food orders. The owner, who is also the bartender, worked very hard to get the drinks to us and kept checking with us to see how diners was and if he could help in any way. They were out of batter fried fish , we wanted broiled anyway!! Portions were small but good. Might try a burger next time. Very limited menu, clean operation it seems and they are trying as best they can. I would advise spending a few bucks to hire a restaurant consultant that could point out some ways to improve the service .
