I was extremely nervous and the main OR nurse and the anesthesiologist were amazing at helping regulate my nerves. I'm so hyper-critical of anything that involves customer service, but in particular when it comes to patient care! Those of you that know me will understand that. I was absolutely astounded by the excellent care of this ambulatory surgery center. It is only a few miles from my home -no more having to travel into Austin or even Round Rock! I received a call from them a few days prior and they left a detailed message requesting I return the call if I had any questions whatsoever about the prep or my procedures themselves. I did not have to call them back as I did not have any questions since my gastroenterologist gave me an abundance of written directions, both in paper, and on My Chart . CPSC continued to offer me support by sending me reminders where I could reply with an automated alpha reply -so they would know that I had received the information and was confirming that I understood it . Sometimes I feel like this is over done but in this situation because my physician has her own unique processes I really appreciated the support The day of the procedure, I actually arrived a few minutes before my scheduled arrival time. Although I had completed a small novel of paperwork for them online, including a history and physical, there were still some other paperwork that had to be signed. Basically a Surgery consent form, and then the HIPAA forms . I immediately noticed that they had done away with the paper affiliated with these required signatures! They actually had sealed the forms in clear plastic, and then gave me a marker style pen to do the initialing, the signing, and the dating. That way they could just scan in the information and erase it so that when the next patient came along, they could use the same form. Ingenious.!! in fact, anyone concerned with saving the environment and paper i.e.; trees should consider this for any volume of paperwork. Healthcare is not the only area they could benefit from this! All this before I even went back into the patient care area! I was called back a few minutes beyond my scheduled time by a very kind and efficient RN, who requested I do the things necessary to prepare myself. She then started an IV & all the while we chatted, which made me very comfortable. She went out to reception and got the hubby so that he could sit with me waiting on the actual time to go into the Surgery Suite. After he was seated, she proceeded to review the process so that he would know from beginning to end what to expect, and I would as well....after she left my cubicle, I realized that I was pretty nauseous so we asked if I could have something for that& within two minutes, she was back in with me giving me anti-nausea medicine through my IV. It absolutely helped. I have never had such a speedy service when asking for a medication in an inpatient or outpatient environment. Usually there are so many hoops that people have to jump through but Cedar Park Surgical Center has their ducks in a row for sure. Over the next few minutes, I was visited by the Anesthesiologist, the Certified Registered Nurse, Anesthetist, the RN that would be with me in surgery and Dr Nandy. I'm not going to bore you with all the details but, again, some thing I felt was above and beyond --the nurse and the nurse anesthetist stood on either side of me, reassuring me that everything would be fine that everything would go OK, and that they would take good care of me while I went to sleep. I've heard of these techniques because they really do make a difference for the patient encouraging a positive experience. When I woke up an hour later, I was in recovery and the recovery room, nurse introduced herself to me and immediately offered to elevate my head and get me something to drink. I really appreciated this as I was determined to get alert enough to go home as soon as possible. About 30 minutes later, Carmen came in with some paperwork, and explained what the doctor had written related to my procedures, then she offered to assist me in getting dressed, which I would be doing while in my bed, to decrease the risk of falling. When I felt ready, she had me dangle my legs to ensure my steadiness and had a wheelchair locked and ready for me to sit in and be wheeled outside. Hubby had the car waiting in the patient pick up area as pre-instructed. THIS WAS MY MOST-INCREDIBLY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE IN AN OUTPT OR INPT SETTING THAT I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the facility along with the team and I hope if I ever have to have something in the future that I can go back there, they treat their patients like GOLD! read more

Never have written a critical review about a business but feel that these guys dropped the ball after a recent visit. Had my surgery which went very well. the issue came afterwards when apparently, I was still bleeding at the time of my release, it was a Friday afternoon and apparently everybody wanted to get home. One staff member did provide a couple of towels and a pillow otherwise I would have bled all over the cloth seats of my ride's car. Later spent the evening in the ER where my wound was attended too. Be not afraid! I'll be honest: I was terrified of having surgery on my foot to put a screw in my metatarsal. Everything from actually going in to the building to even just sitting in the waiting area had me on edge. However, my experience at Cedar Park was one that made me feel at ease, safe, and they relieved more stress and anxiety in me than I thought possible. The nurses were super attentive and sensed i was nervous and talked to me and calmed me down by asking me about my life and what I did and having normal conversations outside of my present situation. I also have to say that the anesthesia team is PHENOMENAL. Truth be told the anesthesia was what i was most concerned about (read terrified to the millionth degree). They told me that anesthesia is safe, walked me through the process of "taking a quick nap", and then told me I'd be up and ready to go home. The anesthesiologist even let me hold the oxygen mask in the OR so I could feel in control (they also gave me a sedative to relax me before going in which I was thankful for) Recovery was quick and the nurse that assisted me made sure I was well and not nauseous before sending me home. Because of Covid my wife couldn't go in with me but they kept her updated ever step of the way via telephone. I can't recommend this center enough, and you truly have not much to be frightened of by going. read more

I had my third surgery recently here, and the staff was PHENOMENAL. Christina was AMAZING after I got out of surgery. I had a hard time coming out of anesthesia and got sick a couple times, and she was EXTREMELY patient and kind. She did not rush me and stayed with me for sometime after my surgery to make sure i was okay before releasing me. You can always tell who loves what they do. Christina, KEEP BEING AMAZING! It's hard to give an entire medical facility a bad review - but this place earned it. As soon as we checked in and sat down in the waiting room, we started seeing little things that just grossed us out. There was garbage and filth all over the waiting room floor. Not what you want to see when you're about to have surgery. The nursing staff was sub-par. It took 3 nurses to unsuccessfully start an IV, but successfully blow 2 veins. Eventually, the anesthesiologist had to start the line, and still managed to leave my hand black and blue. Why They were using a catheter that was WAY too big for my veins. My partner has a license to practice medicine, and he was crawling out of his skin watching them butcher my veins, and was very confused why no one took the 3 seconds it would take to get a smaller cath. But by far, the worst part was recovery. My partner had to recount a lot of this, because I was not yet awake. My 3pm surgery was postponed by like an hour and a half (not CPSC's fault) and so I was the last person in recovery. The nursing staff CLEARLY wanted to go home for the night, because I was sent home before I was completely awake. I also wasn't given any anti-nausea meds, the discharge instructions weren't initialed or signed by a nurse (like the sheet indicates) nor did anyone go over what to watch for with my partner (again, luckily my partner knew what to watch for) before we were kicked out. This meant I threw up on the ride home, with my sweet partner holding my ponytail up so I didn't choke on my vomit because I was NOT awake. I understand wanting to go home for the day, but not when you potentially compromise patient safety. Our complaints were validated by another surgery center. Apparently it's not well-hidden secret that the staff there is less than great. read more

I had to pay a fee up front that, once all was said and done with the insurance company, was too much. I've been trying for 3 months to get refunded for the overpayment and have been given the run around with every phone call. read more

I don't generally write reviews, but I had to after I had my surgery for my broken clavicle at Cedar Park Surgery Center. The front desk staff and nurses were super friendly, knowledgable and checked me in quickly with minimal wait. This was my first surgery and was a bit apprehensive coming in but felt at ease after getting comfort and assurances from the nursing staff. Before the surgery, the doctor walked me through the procedure and what to expect after the surgery. The surgery went extremely well and happy with the results. Overall I was really impressed with the facility and staff. I would highly recommend the center and if necessay would be my choice in the future. read more

The staff at the Cedar Park Surgery Center are rude (not the front desk one on the day of my surgery). The staff who prepared me for surgery gave no instructions before discharge and was in a rush to send me home within seconds after I woke up. My spouse mentioned quietly that I would recover better at home than looking at her rude face. Pre op was worse. I asked a question before signing the consent forms on blood transfusion and she plainly said nothing in the medical field can be given a guarantee. The surgeon and nurses were good. The staffs in this center should be clearly given some training on how to treat patients who await a surgery. read more

Medical care is fine; billing is a nightmare. They require prepayment, and if you overpay after insurance kicks in, good luck getting the money back. We have been calling for over a year and still are owed over $1000. read more

I have been a patient at this facility twice over the past 4 years. The facility itself is clean and unlike traditional hospitals, comfortable. The entire staff from reception to pre-surgery, post surgery until I left the facility were extremely pleasant and comforting. I was put at ease by the remarkable nursing staff who reinforced, through their care, effort, and attention, that I was in capable hands. I found the billing portion to be thorough and informative. I knew what was covered by insurance, and what was covered by me well before my actual procedures. Finally, a medical facility that doesn't feel "entitled" to my patronage, but works extremely hard to create a positive experience during what could have been a very stressful time. I would choose and have chosen this facility over a hospital and would encourage anyone with an upcoming procedure to explore using this Surgery Center! read more
