Had a partial replacement fence put in 3/17 installers left large holes in yard and had to call to have them come back and fill, still did not fill properly had to do myself! Noticed cracked and damaged boards day later and Steve said they would replace them. After repeated contact for several months he said he came out in 7/17 and replaced boards when I wasn't home? I see no difference and the boards I wanted replaced originally were never replaced as promised. What company services clients when they are not home? Now 4 months later, several boards are splintering and the posts are splitting down the middle! Steve claims that it is normal for "industry standard" cedar to do that..... I don't think they are using quality materials because we have neighbors with similar style fences and theirs are not splitting years after installation. Chose this company based on their reviews, guess you can't always rely on that, maybe spending $2500 isn't enough for quality job! Definitely would not recommend. read more

I am having a problem with one of my gates and a few fence panels, the panels with dents and dings I can get over, they clearly sent the C team to do the work (A team must have been busy that day) the workers could not figure out how to attach a post to the house so another man had to come out, he was terrific and did a great job, a day later I checked on my other gate and it was lagging and crooked and will not shut and had a nice size dent in one of the gate panels (I can get over that) but I just want my gate to work correctly. It has been weeks of me calling and texting with no help what so ever, you would thing paying CASH they would show some respect, what a mistake that was. As far as it being a family business, don't fall for that. They sent out guys who didn't speak English and just smashing my garden when they could have walked around it or even through it with out walking on my plants, crazy part this garden of mine is not even close to the fence line, just clearly lacking respect. When paying $51 per foot you'd think you would get a little better. Please contact me if you would like anymore information of this "family owned" business. NEVER AGAIN, AVOID! I wouldn't recommend this company at all. I had the worst experience with this contractor. They said I had the "BEST" crew they have, so I can't imagine the worst one. Very rude and unfriendly workers. They were Spanish speakers and since I speak Spanish as well the communication wasn't a problem. Their crew has very poor customer service skills. Long story short, I approached the crew leader because I noticed they were installing the fence far away from the City line marks, and his response was: "Are you going to teach me how to do my work?. He had this attitude all the time for no reason. Since we couldn't come to an agreement, I asked him to call John, the supervisor, and have him come to double check the property boundaries since John had walked the property days before and pointed out where the fence was going to be, but his answer was: " I am not going to call him, he doesn't know anything, you have to deal with me". Very disrespectful person and hard to work with. I am very polite and respectful with everyone, but from this point on things went as bad as you can't imagine. They really push your buttons. Made an appointment for an estimate based on a time that was convenient for them (and not me). No call, no show! Then they kept calling me to see if I wanted to make an appointment for an estimate as though I hadn't already made one. When confronted, they did have my appointment listed but blamed an ex employee for the mess up. Not interested in giving them thousands of dollars in the hopes that they will come through with a quality product and install when they can't keep an appointment. read more

Originally I was going to build our own fence since I have been in construction for years and have repaired and put up small runs of fencing on my own in the past. I had a building permit and called JULIE to come check the utilities in the yard and BAM, a nightmare came about! There were utilities running down both the north and south property lines, and a spiderweb of all sorts of utilities connecting the 3 neighboring houses along with ours in the south east corner. I decided to seek professional help. Scanned google for top reviews and a Cedar Mountain came up immediately. I dug in a little deeper and a few aggressively poor reviews popped up, but I could tell they were just from people who can never be pleased. Looking at the real evidence in the pictures of their projects in various locations, I knew they were reliable. I contacted them and quickly received a response for a free quote. Impressively, (I believe he is the owner) Steve came out to quote me a project. He measured the property and reviewed my own plans to see if I made any mistakes planning on my own. He provided me an immediate quote within 15-20 mins of being on my property. I told him I would need to think about it and speak to my wife. Over the next few days Steve was attentive and responsive and made sure we were getting the best possible price. A week or so later we agreed to get a 5ft privacy (for the dogs eyes) fence. Originally planned for a start date of today (November 14, 2017) they were able to push our job ahead to yesterday to our surprise! With frost lasting hours past sunrise in the AM and Sunset around 4:30pm, they were still able to complete a 325ft fence in 2 days (maybe 10 hours worth of work)!!!! I am greatly pleased with the way they communicate with their customers, and most importantly with the quality of their work! I would 100% recommend them to anyone interested in quality and quick installation of any type of fence! read more

Do not use this company! WRONG FENCE INSTALLED WHEN WE WERE ON VACATION AFTER EXPLICIT INSTRUCTIONS FOR US TO BE PRESENT. Originally told by Tom, the sales man, that our fence would be tentatively installed the week of June 12. Called this company third week in May to tell them we had not received building permit yet and to hold off scheduling installation date until they heard back from us. Went on vacation where we had limited cell phone reception. Between June 5 and June 8 they sent two texts to our phone stating they were installing our fence June 9. Being in cell phone range finally on June 8, we read these texts and immediately texted back do not install the fence while we were out of town. On June 9 our credit card company alerted us that we had been charged the final payment by Cedar Mountain company without our authorization. We immediately called their office and spoke to Gina who verified that despite our wishes expressed two different times, the fence had been installed on our property without us being home and that our credit card was used without our authorization. A heated conversation ensued understandably with Gina hanging up on us, the customer. IT DOESNT END THERE. Upon our return on June 11, we see that they installed the WRONG FENCE. After numerous phone requests and two no-shows to solve this problem, the owner Steve finally showed up. Again after us initiating many follow through phone calls to him to come to some sort of resolution, we finally accepted his 20% refund and ended up with a fence we don't even like. IT DOESNT END THERE. The installers had dropped a green tape measure in our yard which then upon mowing our grass two days after installation our lawnmower ran over it and required a $200 repair. Also while we were out of town the installers, without authorization, chopped limbs off of two trees in our backyard and left the limbs and branches behind the fence in our neighbor's backyard. Additionally the dirt and cement left behind from the installation and plants ruined by trampling was unacceptable. IT DOESNT END THERE. Upon closer examination of this fence, we found boards that were warped and boards that were not nailed down and a gate latch that did not work. Again, after a phone call to this company to send someone out to repair these problems an appointment was made which ended up being a no-show requiring us to call yet again to find out why no one showed up. Do not make the same mistake we made. We wish we had read the terrible reviews before we chose this company. read more

Sent a rep to give me an estimate. Seemed ok & pleasant. Simple request. Waited 7-10 days...no quote. Left 3 voice mails w/ rep. Nothing. Sent email to office saying I couldn't get a hold of rep & I needed quote. Rep finally left message asking why I sent 7 emails to office & I was creating a problem & I shouldn't be emailing the office. How many unreturned calls do I make before contacting someone else? When designing my residential fence, Cedar Mountain suggested that we stop where the elevation went down. I was concerned that this idea might not work and I asked if they would come back and install another 2 or 3 sections of fence if it looked incomplete. They assured me that they would do this. The idea did not work. It looked like 3/4 of a fence. I asked them to come back. I asked and asked and asked. I was polite and patient. The original fence was installed June 4. By the first of October, they still had not installed the additional sections. I finally had to get firm and received a response that was unprofessional and upsetting. My daughter reached out to the son of the owner and was assured that he would contact me and make this right or at least apologize. He never did. I was left having to pay twice as much to install the 3 sections because it was a small job. But I have to say, Paramount Fence did a great job! I now have a complete fence thanks to them. Please get a quote from Paramount before you decide on a company to do your residential fencing. read more
