A perk of staying overnight or having a seasonal site is that you can get in line for a nine am open to get a table or loungers by the pool but don't leave your stuff unattended for more than 20 minutes or you may lose your spot (per the rules). For adults on a Friday night you can typically enjoy a live band and dancing at the tiki bar and/or soak in the hottubs and on most Saturday nights the band is at the main stage where you can dance barefoot in the sand under the stars, sit with friends at a picnic table, or enjoy the massive bonfire at the back. There are movie nights for the kids, killer fireworks for Canada Day, Santa visits for Christmas in July, kids go around to seasonal sites for trick or treating in August, golf tournament fundraisers, and I'm sure more that I've forgotten. Note, the unfair negative reviews prompted me to leave this. Clearly this is a park for fun and excitement so complaining about otherwise is lame because you didn't do your research. And as an attractive single woman that frequents the pool, I have never experienced a group of learing men or swingers in the five years I've frequented Lilac Resort.

My family has made so many incredible memories here throughout the years and we are always looking forward to our next stay. The resort let's you bring in your own food into the pool area (no franchise food) and your own alcohol. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained and the event weekends (Halloween in August, Christmas in July etc) are phenomenal. Staff is friendly and the owners are very easy to talk to. Lilac resort used to have mini golf, and I think they should bring it back!... Yes, I am that old! Just saying in regards to the review mentioning "swingers" that is nonsense, I've been a loyal guest since I was a kid and never seen anything remotely close to a "swingers" hub . Lilac is an excellent family vacation destination. Definitely check it out! You gotta book fast though, usually a year in advance for certain weekends.

The are extremely knowledgeable , very friendly and helpful. They insure that everyone is well taken care of and happy. They try to insure that enough fish are caught so that everyone goes home with their limit. I believe the meal plan is the best way to enjoy your time. No cooking or cleaning and the meals served are terrific! Breakfast starts with a breakfast buffet that has all of the breakfast food you can want, and all very tasty. Lunch on the boat includes either a shore lunch made from the fish you just caught, or sandwiches on the boat which are fresh, generous in size and very tasty. All lunches also include some sort of home baked goody for dessert . For dinner, check out their on line menu. You can have everything for sandwiches to steaks as part of the package.
