This is the third time in about 6 years the Executive of the company I work for in Winnipeg, Manitoba has held a Strategic Planning Retreat here at the Pinewood Lodge. The Lodge is on Dorothy Lake within Whiteshell Provincial Park. It is a great place. Nice surroundings and friendly staff. The service is great. They provide buffet meals for the 3 days we are here. Rooms are spacious and clean. There is swimming pool and exercise room too. It's cool when we are here so we don't go swimming in the lake. There are adjacent hiking trails. We see the odd bit of wildlife e.g. deer. I can really see this as being a popular spot for families either in the summer, or winter (likely would be great cross country skiing, and I would imagine snowmobiling. read more
