Did a full flight here and honestly every beer was solid, but the Polaris Rising stood out, it's an IPA brewed with jasmine green tea and lychee which sounds like it shouldn't work and somehow does. Also really enjoyed the Galactic Vaquero, a Mexican lager that was crisp and easy drinking. Great theme, but more importantly the beer backs it up.

When they first opened at their original location, it seemed that they were extremely IPA heavy (which are generally the only beers I don't enjoy). And, over the years this has seemed true. I recall one visit where the choices were 15 IPAs or similar, one helles, one stout, a smoked beer, and a delicious high ABV offering. I was pleased that on my most recent visit to the Aurora location, there were probably nine or 10 things I would have happily consumed. The service at this location is consistently good and I am glad they are here. I am also glad that I waited to write this review, because on my first visit, they were having chiller issues and the beer was really, in my opinion, too warm to be serving it.

The owner and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and make our evening special. It was karaoke night, and they acknowledged our birthdays to everyone, making us feel part of the fun. To top it off, the bill was surprisingly reasonable. It may sound like a simple outing, but it became one of the most wonderful evenings either of us has enjoyed in a very long time. Much of that credit belongs to the young owner, whose thoughtful hospitality carries on a family tradition of treating patrons with care and respect. Legends of Aurora also offers a variety of special event nights. We came for the pizza and left with a birthday memory we'll treasure.

April took care of us and was a total pro. She was attentive, knew the menu cold, and her recommendation of the salted Oreo ice cream was spot on. It was easily one of the best desserts I've had in a while. We ordered the Catapult and the Rift. The Catapult is loaded with house sausage, caramelized onions, and sweet peppadews on a perfectly charred crust. The Rift pizza hit that tangy, savory balance, and the Parmesan on top ties it together. The Caesar was crisp and well dressed, a great start to the meal. Great food, great service, great game day vibe. We'll be back.

We got the burrata appetizer which was incredible; the pesto is garlic heavy and just right. Hubby got the club sammich on their focaccia and said it really hit the spot. It came with thick slices of turkey and they were not stingy with the avocado. I got the Rizz pizza (potato and rosemary) and it was everything I've been dreaming of since moving here and leaving my favorite pizza behind in Reno. They had on football and Baseball in the lower bar area. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Extensive drink menu and beer menu. Tons of vegetarian items. As a former vegan I noticed a lot that can be made vegan. I didn't notice the massive build your own Bloody Mary bar until we were almost done, but I will for sure be back to build one or five bloody Mary's. He upgraded with the pickle and bacon, both were delish. I got a vanilla vodka & soda...was impressed they had vanilla and that the server knew that right away. Speaking of our server was wonderful, in fact all of the staff was friendly and welcoming. My husband ordered the Cure with sausage and raved about each bite. I got the nachos and a side of hash browns. Though I sent my hash browns back after seeing my husbands loaded hashies, because I was jealous of his cheese melt. Staff laughed and happily took my hash browns back to smother them in cheese so I didn't feel left out. I loved that they offered refried beans with whole beans mixed in. They provided good quality boxes and a bag for our to go order. They had a vast beer menu which made hubby happy, though he was very impressed with his bloody. We will for sure return for the dinner menu. They only have one machine that does tap to pay. So be mindful to bring cash or a physical card if you go. I did not get sick or anything, but my cousin said the same thing when I gave her a piece. It didn't taste odd but there was nothing special about it. None of the meats had a smoke flavor to them. The brisket was dry as my skin in the winter. My cousin ordered the Texas twinkie and it was hard as a rock. The potato salad is straight up nasty. I don't know for sure, but I do not think the food is cooked at the restaurant and perhaps microwaves are used to reheat the precooked food. Service (4 stars) Bartender was extremely patient while waiting to take our order. Recommended one of the in-house beers. Atmosphere (4 stars) Seems like they have a decent local following. I would go back and sit at the bar and enjoy a beer. But never going back for a meal. Cleanliness (3 stars) Bathrooms are not clean.

The outdoor patio is spacious, relaxed, and perfect for enjoying Colorado's nice weather with friends or coworkers. We ordered a variety of shareable dishes, including the giant pretzel, loaded fries, fried pickles, hummus, wings, and grilled broccolini. My favorite was definitely the loaded fries--crispy, cheesy, topped with bacon and jalapeños, and packed with flavor. I'd happily order those again. The giant pretzel was great for sharing, and the hummus plate was a nice lighter option. The grilled broccolini was also surprisingly good. The only dish that didn't quite hit the mark for me was the wings. They had good flavor but were a little dry. Overall, the food was good, but nothing that really stood out as unforgettable. That said, the atmosphere is what makes this place worth visiting. It's the kind of spot I'd come back to for a sunny afternoon, drinks, and catching up with friends or coworkers.
