Do not stay here if you value your time, safety and protecting your RV. I encountered unsafe electrical issues when attempting to hook up the 50 amp. My surge protector would shut down after detecting unsafe or no proper ground connection. I spoke with the owner, Steve, about the electrical problem and the sad thing is he is aware of the issue and continues to assign guests here. I do not know why you would do this from a business standpoint considering the liability implications. Steve said his past customers with surge protectors were unable to hook up here as well, so he suggested I hook up without a surge protector because an electrician told him it looked good. After informing Steve I would absolutely not hook up without a surge protector he said I could move to another spot. Due to the first spot I was in being extremely unleveled I asked Steve which spot was most level. He pointed out a spot he believed to be more level than others. I pulled into that spot and found it to be off level by several inches in both slope and grade. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable stay. There are several long term unsightly trailers in the sites, one of which I had to track down the owner when I arrived because his truck was parked blocking the site I was assigned. I woke up to sprinklers spraying the side of my RV in the middle of the night. A simple adjustment would fix this issue, but I would not expect that to happen due to the electrical, lack of level sites and poor property maintenance issues with this location. There is also a raggedy trailer park next door, with it's own pile of special issues. The trailer park appears to be directly connected to this RV park. I would not recommend staying here and I would have been more comfortable in a Walmart parking lot. read more

This RV park stole our money and hasn't returned it or our phone calls / texts. We made a reservation on July 5th to stay that night as we were passing through town. I called and got a recording to book online. Part of that recording said "for late check in, go to office for specific instructions". So, I made the reservation and prepaid online. When we arrived at 10pm, all the sites had the facilities locked up. The office had a sign on it saying to text a number, once they verify your payment, they will give you a code to access a key to unlock the hook ups at your site....but no codes will be given after 9pm. WHY DOESN'T THE WEBSITE OR THE PHONE RECORDING SAY YOU CAN'T CHECK IN AFTER 9PM? What good is a spot if I can't hook up? Nobody ever responded to the number left to text and no one ever returned our calls. At the time, we just left and went to the KOA right down the street. It was much nicer anyways. I would suggest anyone go there instead. read more

The first 4-5 rows are Rvs but behind that are tons of single wide decrepit manufactured homes that literally are disgusting. Although overall this is a nice RV Park it has one thing that can be a problem when you set up. The sewer hookups for many RVS require water to run up hill! Yes the openings for the sewer are placed above the outlets on many RVs. Perhaps it is planned to pave the sites which would improve that situation but with the placement of the sewers may still be a problem for some RVs. There is a nice dog park but would suggest a review of hours it is open. The current schedule is inconvenient for many. . read more

I normally don't write a review about campgrounds but I recently stayed a few days and had to review to help others in the future. I RV around the US in my 5th wheel about 3 to 6 months a year and have seen all types of campgrounds but I had to write my first campground review today. It is called Cedar Breaks Campground in Cedar City Utah. 1700 N Main Street Cedar City, UT 84721 Prices per night started out reasonable with Good Sam's Discount which came to about $43 but prices have increased $62 to $69 Read the fine print before you register and pay. Resort fees, LOL , booking fee, etc. Office hours are limited (Noon to 5PM) and closed on Sundays. If you arrive before 2PM which is check in time they charge you $20 even if your site is empty and only a few minutes early. Most campgrounds all have check in times but if you are less than an hour from check in and your spot is empty no problem. They do not have a swimming pool Limited to no shade Sites are uneven gravel No cable TV and Over the Air reception is limited as we are in a low area of town. So if you want to watch ABC,CBS,NBC forget it. Wifi is so slow my 4G phone hot spot was faster. Grounds are not taken care of at all. Grass needs cutting, weeds every where On one side of the campground are old rented trailers with trash and rodents at night running around The sites have curbs around a little bit of worn grass and the sites are narrow and the curbs become a constant tripping hazard. All trash needs to be dumped on your own in a dumpster area that looks like a trash dump in itself Large red ant hills are all over so watch the kids and pets as well as black ant around the grass area of the sites. They even lock up the dog park at 8PM with a lock and the dog dump container takes days to get emptied. You never see anyone cleaning up the sites or the grounds. The office staff are college students with no perosnality at all. Watch your credit card as they have been known to charge you extra fees on your credit card without your knowledge. Sorry I will never stay here again and will use a the better campground down the street (KOA) where they great you as a new friend instead of a credit card number. Same price and is full  service 7 days a week with a clean swimming pool, cable TV, lots  of shade, well maintained grounds, large laundry  and people in the office that are friendly and know what  customer service really means. Our visit to Cedar Breaks RV Park started with the online registration. We were looking at the map of all the spaces, and saw 4-5 spaces that would have been perfect for our needs, so my wife called the office and was told to write our requests on the online registration form, which we did. We received our confirmation email, without any answer to our request, but we figured they would contact us a few days before we arrived, which never happened. The day we were driving to Cedar City my wife called to ask about our request, the woman that we spoke to stated that if the space was available, we would get it. We arrived at about 3pm, while I was checking in I asked about my request, and that we called earlier about those specific spaces, she told me that the spaces were all for specific RV sizes. I was surprised, because not only was there nothing on the website stating that the sites were RV size specific, and they never mentioned that when we called and asked earlier that day. While we were there, I noticed that there was a space that was right next to the dog area that was available, they told me that they couldn't rent that one out because of the potential flooding due to seasonal rains, but the people that were in the space next to that space left that same day, and they didn't even mention that we could have moved over when they left, be prepared for their canned answer of "NO," to any of your reasonable requests. We were also disappointed because of the way the sites were set up, our large window was facing the main road, not the trees or mountains that were the other direction, and our door opened up to the beautiful trash dumpsters on the south side of the property. The pictures on the website make it look like you will be able to see the mountains to the east, but you can't, the trees hide he view, and all the sites on our row made us look at the road. The restrooms/showers were just "okay," nothing special, glad we were able to shower in our own RV! We have two small dogs, which we are very careful about picking up after, and of course we signed the agreement that if we didn't pick up after our dogs we could be fined. On our last night there, we had to take them out at 3am to do their business, I didn't immediately pick it up because it was 3am, and because I knew I would pick it up first thing in the morning. At 8am I received a call and a voicemail stating that they checked my space and saw the dog poop, and if they had to pick it up I would be charged $100. Really, I know that some people don't take responsibility for their pets, but at least give me a chance to wake up and clean it up! This is a perfect place to stop, overnight, while you are in transit to your final destination, but I would NEVER stay here again, I'd rather stay in a Walmart parking lot, just my opinion. read more

This RV park should be avoided. Very poorly set up. Not family friendly. You can't go for a walk because the surrounding area is very unsafe with run down mobile homes and vagrants. Set ups are confusing with your hook ups being on the same side as the table belonging to your neighbor. After staying for 2 days they came around and a very snooty girl made us turn our motorhome around or leave because we did not see the microscopic arrows on the map. Rest rooms are not nice. If someone flushes the toilet while you are showering you get burned or frozen and it is a sauna. They have grass but you are not allowed to use it. If you put anything on the grass they come tell you to move it. No shade on most of the spaces but no shade tarps are allowed because they don't want you staking the ground which is covered in rocks. read more

The price is somewhat reasonable for a night stay, but you're getting hookups and that's it. I appreciate a quality bath house and this place is in desperate need of attention. I showered in the rig instead. Spaces are VERY tight and we don't even have slide outs. The pet area closes at night and doesn't open until 9am?! These people clearly take care of their patches of grass, but my dog has to pee before 9am. The gate has a lock on it as do all the electrical boxes. It all made me wonder what the heck has been going on in this park that inspired these actions. Maybe it's not very safe? They're clearly not concerned about safety since they don't require their staff to wear masks. I'll pay the extra money and stay at the KOA up the street next time through. read more

We pulled into this park at the last minute while on a multi-state vacation (May 2019). We were pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed both the park and the town of Cedar City (lots to do!). The park is clean, well maintained, and definitely has rules and regulations to follow. But all of that keeps RV parks pleasant to stay at and this one was no exception. Our site, #28, was a large open pull-thru--easily accessible and fairly level. Although the weather didn't permit us to hang out outside, the site would have been well accommodating for that. The front area of the park has limited trees and shade, but the sites further back in the rear do. We had no complaints and will gladly stop again if we are in the area. The campground is clean and the campground host was polite(that is the only reason it got 2 stars instead of zero).... but.....the manager did something very odd. There was no campground host when we arrived, The door was locked, and no information as to where we were supposed to camp. So we went into the camping spot we had the week before, that we knew had the 50 amp we needed. We set up the trailer, disconnected everything from the truck, connected all our electricity etc. Campground host comes after we're finished setting up and says we have to move. Now at this point the campground was maybe 30% full. She said that the site we were in was reserved for larger vehicles. Not that they had it reserved, but they wanted to set it aside for larger vehicles. Ours was a 29 foot trailer, so wasn't a small little rig. And I said well I'll pay the difference if that's gonna be a problem. She said no the manager wants you to move. I looked around and I said the campground is not full. If you need us to move in the future we would be happy to, but there is no reason for us to pack everything up again set everything up to move 20 yards because of an empty campground. So the campground manager calls the police and says she's going to evict us from the campground ( I don't even know if that's legal, because we already pre-paid.). Let's give them the benefit of the doubt and say they were going to be 70% full by the end of the night. There was still no reason for us to have to move and the price for both spots was exactly the same. Police arrive., I told the story, and told him I was ready to leave at this point because I didn't want to give them any money and I was just waiting for a refund. So the officer and I go to the office and this manager doesn't even acknowledge him nor me and proceeds to ignore us while she's talking to some other customer when all she had to do was process my refund. Finally she processes it and I looked at the officer and I apologized and told him I'm sorry he had to go through this I'm sure he had more important things to fo ( I am past LE and find these issues a waste of time). Point being, I would stay far away from this place, because she is not a good person. I'm old enough, a professional, and at 65, old and smart enough not give people my money who are really rude, not customer oriented and frankly has no business managing anything That has to do with customers. Happily staying at Cedar City KOA down the street where i was met with good customer service and a clean campground and frankly a nicer set up. read more

Lacey Works is the worst. She will mess around with you for weeks. She hardly ever responds, never answers questions. What a complete waste of time. Lady that runs the place is in a huge fight with some of her tenants so she's making it very difficult for anyone to get in here. This place was fantastic! There bathrooms are stunning. There was no dust, dirt, or any hair collected in the corners. The water pressure was good as well as the water temperature. The pull throughs were perfect. The water pressure of the hook ups were good, and there was a dumping area next to the electrical. Overall this place was clean and very nice. 5 stars! read more

We stayed for 8 nights to tour Zion and Bryce Canyon. A great base for those activities. Facilities were clean and staff was cordial. Don't expect a national park experience, those places were full during our stay here(late June). This park is exactly what they described on their site. Our site was fairly level and power was good(50amp). They have 30 amp too at each site. Wifi was spotty at our site due to parking behind a behemoth 5th wheel, but we weren't here to watch netflix!! There are cement curbs separating the sites making for a very narrow space to pull into. Not for long RVs (ours is 40ft Class A). For the pull-thru site you have to make a 45 degree turn, sites not at a diagonal like most parks that makes for easy parking. Curbs are covered with black tire marks! Barely enough room to park my car behind the RV. Cedar Breaks does NOT have Wi-Fi even though they advertise such. The speed bumps are higher than necessary. Agree with Sandee - why is Good Sam associated with this place. read more

It is a nice park but do not bring any animals with you. You are required to sign your life away and promise to pay hundreds of dollars without any proof or recourse if they think perhaps one of your animals did something they didn't like. By the way the dog park is closed and Locked so no one can use it unless there is a staff member present. read more

I am surprised this RV park is recommended by Good Sam. We drove through the park in anticipation of camping there. The gravel sites are close together and definitely not taken care of. Each site had plenty of weeds. Very few campers. Did not stay. Walmart parking lot was cleaner. read more

Over the past several years myself and friends used this park for overnight stays, I have probably been there 4 to 6 times. I liked the park and encouraged my friends to stay there. Unfortunately, things have changed and I can't recommend it to anyone. The lawns were not cut and some were littered with rotting fruit. Some sewer connections were uncovered, and no cover in sight. The lower road was covered with dirt and gravel over the asphalt, all from a rain event a month or so ago. It appears that the park has turned into a long-term parking place with a number of unoccupied and unattractive trailers. It has all of the potentials of a future homeless shelter. The office was manned by two totally useless teens who were of no help whatsoever. The office was a dump, it almost matched the trash area on the south side that should be condemned. I'm still giving this park a 1. I asked to speak to a manager to resolve an issue and the lady was very short with me, said she wasn't available. She said she would leave her a message. After 1/2 hour when they hadn't called me back, I called again. Again, the lady was not very nice, said the manager was off. So, I fully expected to get a call from her the next day but I didn't. It's been 3 days and finally discovered our monetary dispute had been resolved to our satisfaction, however, their rudeness and failure to return my call after 2 requests is not acceptable. There are plenty of other very nice places to stay. Red Ledge and Zion RV Park are 2 of them. read more

I have mixed feelings about this park. First off, we found the office staff to be very nice. The park, while definitely older, had pretty big, grassy sites. There were some permanent residents parked on the edges. It has no amenities. They charge a very high fee....I'd say about $20 too much. But my biggest complaint has to do with their darn speed bumps. They are everywhere on their park roads and they are monsters to pull a motor home over. The funny thing is: Practically no one stays here, so why are they still in existence? Actually I do have one more complaint: We came back to our rig after having dinner and found they had turned on the watering system and it was blasting water full bore onto our electric pedestal. I flagged down a couple workers and asked them to please shut it down. Our electricity never quite worked right after that incident. Would I stay here again? Since it's about the only game in town, I suppose I'd be forced to do that but I sure hope not. I think I'd push on to the next town. read more

If it were possible to give zero stars, we would. The front desk people were incredibly rude and inflexible. Our site didn't have a picnic table and since the place was almost empty, we asked if we could move to a spot with a picnic table. Lacey, the manager, said they won't let anyone move once they're in. What? Even if they are basically empty... So, we actually forfeited the cost of the night at Cedar Breaks and went 3 minutes down the street to the Cedar City KOA where we were met with kind hospitality and a lovely spot with a picnic table!! The owner actually took the time to drive us around the park on his golf cart so we could choose our site! Now THAT is customer service at its best! Cedar Breaks is basically a parking lot with a few trees and tiny parcels of grass. The KOA has a pool, bike rentals, snack bar with ice cream, horseshoe, tetherball and just a much more hospitable feeling!! read more

Terrible! The folks here were rude and lack any sort of customer service skills. There are NO amenities here except a small dog run. No pool, park, play area, nothing. And, the gravel sites didn't even allow for the kids to ride their bikes due to it being the large river Rick type gravel. Their garbage area was overflowing, causing rodents. We stayed here three nights and went the the National Parks from there, so we were gone all day, each day we were there. When we asked to add one more night, we were told there would be an extra $15 charge for our kids. We decided, because of this, to leave and then the park retroactively charged us $45( plus tax) for the kids for the nights we had stayed. We were shocked since we had called the park to ask rates and availability and were never told about a $5 per child, per night charge. We would never have stayed. And, why charge for kids when you offer NOTHING for them to do!? We asked them to reverse the charges and they declined. We will never return and will tell others to avoid this place as well. read more

Stayed here for a week. Very nice rv park. Most spots have grass. Staff are very professional and helpful. Entire rv park is spotless. They have rules, which are very reasonable, and this keeps everything in order. No problem with people blocking access, etc. Everyone keeps their stuff picked up and clean. A couple rv's are long term, but no problem (not trailer trash). Pets are welcomed and they have a very nice and clean grassy fenced dog park to let your dog run loose. Excellent RV park. I reserved an RV spot and a cabin for a family trip we were taking to Zion this past weekend. Cedar Breaks had the only vacancies I could find. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The park itself is very easy to find and centrally located to just about everything we wanted to do in southern Utah. The park is very clean, has full hookups, nice little dog park and each RV Site has a wonderful little grass picnic area. RV sites were also fairly level which is always a big plus. Although the restrooms/showers need to be updated they were kept very clean and well stocked. The only issue I would have to address is with the cabins. They are facing the wrong direction. They face the road where there is practically no privacy if you wanted to sit and mingle on the front porch. Also in front of the cabins is a grassy area that is reserved for tent camping. Not the best spot as it is directly in front of the road. Although not a big deal for us, there is no bathroom inside the cabin as well. It is just a room with beds, AC/Heat and a tv. The cabins are very clean and extremely comfortable. I'm positive this won't be the only time I stay at Cedar Breaks. I was happy with my stay and I would recommend it to anyone trying to explore the area. read more

Yes, this park is very clean. Or maybe the word "sterile" would be better. The campsites are unusually SMALL...our camper was so close to the one next to us that they shut their windows, pulled their blinds and turned on ac as we arrived. We pulled in very late after hours on our only night....gathered our dogs after a LONG trip to head outside to relieve themselves. We noticed the "Dog Park" and thought, perfect, we can let them run for a minute before turning in after a long drive. The small fenced in area had a pad lock on it....well that's not good. So we let the dogs go outside the gate in the grassy area. We set up camp like we normally do....then went inside to finally rest. That's when we read the rules. OMG, do not allow your dogs on the grass, do not leave your rig without shirt or shoes, pants or there is no service, no fires on the grass even in a fire pit, $50 fee if you move a picnic table, no rugs, mats or carpets on any area of grass...only on gravel, pet fencing of any kind not allowed, and on and on. When you see the pretty pictures of this campground with "grass" be aware you cannot touch it. It is only there to look at. We had put up our normal little pet fencing before we read the rules, obviously thinking containing our pets would be better than tethering or leaving inside the camper. We immediately packed up and left this god forsaken place. Camping is supposed to be fun. We stopped at Silverwood Lake the next night.... 10000000% better. Cedar Breaks would be better saying no pets and staying off the dog friendly sites. They obviously don't like us as visitors. NEVER again and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. I know a zillion dog people as i am a dog Rescuer....they are always looking for nice places to camp. This would not be on my list at all. read more

First off, we made on line reservations for three nights here. We went in to check in at the desk and were asked if we were ok with the $10 "early check-in fee" ----- we were literally 30 minutes early and the park was nearly empty! It was very hot outside and we were hoping to get set up and use our A/C, but since we were NOT OK with that fee we pulled into a business next to the RV park and waited for 30 minutes out in the hot truck. After setting up at site #7, we realized we were probably the only site that did not have a picnic table (just our luck), we didn't complain and made due since we had a small table we took from inside our trailer. The issue I DID complain about after getting the password for their "FREE WI-FI" which they proudly display on their billboard out front and on their website, we could not connect and was told by the desk "only certain spots of the park can connect to the WI-FI". How can they have the nerve to charge a fee for early check-in (even when they were basically empty) and then advertise free wi-fi and then be told only in certain areas? I told the young girl at the desk, "I knew we should have went to the KOA across the street" and she smartly told me, "I agree". read more

Avoid this place. The staff and C-store are nice but the park is old and poorly laid out. There were people living in U-Haul trucks and beat up vans. The bathroom was so crowded I couldn't even get in the door and people were lined up to use the toilets and showers. I wasn't able to take my dog out on a leash because of a pit bull running loose. I got a pull through spot that I was able to drive into but had to unhook my towed and backup through the whole park because of the random layout. Wifi was weak and dropped connection constantly. Somewhere in the park a party with loud music went on till after 1 am. Seriously, this park was sketchy and doesn't feel safe. read more

The facilities are nice but the management was unreasonable. We registered long in advance to stay 5 nights. We were placed across from 4 dumpsters without lids. When the prevailing wind blew we could smell the garbage. We asked to move. We were told it was too much trouble for the manager. I did not know what to say. I have never heard that response from any establishment. I recommend you stay at the KOA a quarter mile closer to town. If you have to stay at Cedar Breaks make sure you do not get site 5 or any site close to 5. We come each year to the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Next year it is back to KOA. read more

Now called Cedar Breaks Rv Park and is being refurbished with sprinkler system and hopefully repaired dog area soon. We stopped here on our way to Wyoming when our toilet broke. While we waited for a callback from our dealer, the owner and staff were very understanding, flexible and kind. The park is simple, no activities, swimming pool or noise. Just stopped through Cedar City and needed to fill up our trailer with water & dump. The owner was so nice, he stayed open late for us & didn't even charge! We bought a dump hose from him to at an extremely reasonable price as well. We have not stayed here before, but the exceptional customer service we received will definitely have us coming back. read more
