Very great people and awesome customer service. Easy check in and check out for equipments

The owner has an employee who lets his dog-aggressive large pitbull roam the property without anyone outside. We were staying in their rental cabins and the employee stated that his dog was not good with other dogs so he would keep him inside since we have a dog. Well, today he didn't. I took my dog outside to potty at around 9:45 AM and the dog was outside alone inside a large canopy tent filled with merchandise. As soon as the dog saw mine about 30 feet away it charged. I tried to get my dog away and ended up just blocking and shielding my dog. The dog barrelled full force into my leg and then pinched the skin. The dog knocked me to the ground. I screamed for help and people came running out and the employee got his dog away. The employee apologized but then the owner got nasty when I complained. He went on about how friendly the dog was and showed himself petting the dog (there were no other dogs around at that time) and then tried to blame me for the dog's behavior, saying that my nervous behavior caused the dog to charge. They had surveillance footage of the dog charging and biting my leg. I have an M.S. in Applied Animal Behavior and work aggression cases, and am also contacted to testify in court cases as an expert witness in these types of situations. These owners and this dog are a serious problem. None of them were even outside with this roaming dog and none of them saw what happened but saw me shielding my dog and leaned over on the ground when they came out. These people are completely irresponsible. The cops came and saw the footage. One of the officers stating that their hamstring would have been torn if he had been hit that hard by a dog. They viewed the already forming bruise on my leg. They thought it was bad enough to push for a 10 day vicious dog quarantine but left it up to me as the victim. They said they told the owner that the dog cannot be on property except on leash. I declined to press charges and a quarantine because I don't want to punish the dog. The owner and shopkeeper simply need to DO BETTER! The cops took a case report for this incident, yet the owners keep denying it happened. Very sad. These owners are not honest and fail to admit when they make mistakes. Buyers beware. read more

Thank you for setting us all up with boots AND adjusting 3-sets of bindings on our personal ski's!!! The kids loved being welcomed by your furry greeters. I've been coming to Brian Head and George's since 2011, and I can attest that no other place has the level of customer service that George's does. Georg's Ski Shop - Just bought these awesome 686 mittens - Ski & Snowboard Shops Near Me - Brian Head, Utah

Came in to rent some skis and boots and Mike helped us out greatly and ended up buying used skis there. There used section has some great deals for snowboard, skis, and boots. We came back to return everything and Paige there was amazing. She answered all of my questions I had about skis and what to look for in boots when I end up buying my own. I will definitely be coming back to buy all the things I need. Also, the shop dog is too cute haha. I also want to share while I was there I overheard a guy worker helping a gentlemen out with his equipment and even offered the next day on his day off he would do some runs with this gentleman to help him out and I thought how cool! read more

It's easy to imagine that one would come to Brian Head for the superb skiing, and Georg's would just be an added bonus. For us, it's the other way around. Georg's is the kind of ski shop that legions of skiers become loyal to. They have a great selection, but what really makes it is the staff. They take the time to get to know you, and their recommendations are top notch. When we ski in Utah, we now go out of our way to go to Georg's for all of our skiing needs. read more

We went there in January 2022.However, I've been a tad busy and completely forgot to write a review, but they were always on the back of my mind. Now that ski season is right around the corner, I wanted to throw in my two-cents. I must say, holey moley...this place is the best. I had never skied in my life, (not much of a cold, snow person) however, with the right trainer/s including my amazing husband, ski instructor (Bryan Head Resort), obtaining the right equipment with education (thank you Georg's), amazing group of friends with lots of patience and a splash of Vodka (obviously after the skiing was attempted) made a perfect weekend. Now I can't wait to hit the slopes. We stayed at Georg's and it felt like staying with family. Everyone there was so nice, helpful and knowledgable.... Actually, on second thought, maybe not family but great friends. Lol, I wouldn't want to subject y'all to some of my crazy (but loving) family..jk or am I .... (Big eyed emoji) read more

So I left the one bag with all of the snow gear at home. Popped into Georg's literally an hour before they were going to close. Thanks to everyone there!! All helpful and friendly. read more

Everything from the website, to check in, ski rental and check out, went smoothly and professionally. We spent five awesome days and four awesome nights at one of Georg's ski-in ski-out condos right next to lift seven. The service from Georg's staff both reservation booking and ski rental was excellent. My family has been skiing here since 2009 and will continue to do so. The condo was clean, spacious and had everything you needed to make yourself comfortable from the bedrooms to the kitchen. We were not wanting for anything. Thank you Georg's Ski shop & Lodge for making our family vacation wonderful and stress free. Special shout out to Tatiana! Thank you for everything! read more

A very busy rental spot, especially in the morning. There are tons of people going in and out of the shop with equipment and shoes. When you walk in, you have to first check in at a kiosk where you list your party members' height, weight, etc. We rented skis plus the ski boots, so we had to be fitted for shoes after that. It was slightly chaotic. There were only three benches in the small shop, and about 10-15 people were trying to get shoes at the same time. Still, the staff managed to get everyone moving, without seeming pushy or rushed. We got our skis and boots in about thirty minutes. They also let us take our stuff back and exchange/adjust it when boots didn't fit. Great all around customer service. Returns were super easy, just dropped the gear off, checked out and left. At the end of the day, they are much less busy. If you are really looking to avoid a crowd, or get on the slopes bright and early, I would advise renting your equipment the night before so that you have everything you need for the next day. The prices are also pretty good; made this a very affordable vacation. If you do decide to rent from them, remember to say hi to the doggy. :D read more

Our 1st visit to Brian Head and we rented at Georg's. The service here is friendly and efficient. I rented a snowboard and boots for 3 days. Unfortunately, on Day 1 of snowboarding I strained my knee. I went to return my equipment at 9:45am and Georg's was great about refunding me 2 days even though I should have returned the equipment the day before by 5pm. They took pity on me which was so nice! Looking forward to returning to Brian Head when my knee heals and renting from Georg's again! read more

Friendly staff. Rentals r a breeze. Support these guys over using Brianhead resort rentals

Best ski shop I've ever been to! I've been on mountains and around ski shops my whole life and the service here is unmatched. I called a few days before and Robbie graciously answered all my questions and did it with a smile I could hear over the phone. These guys hustle and they're so friendly! Would recommend a million times over!! read more

I have seen some pretty stupid places ... but these guys take the cake... went in to rent equipment for a week of skiing and my son wanted to get his board wax and I signed up waited for 15 minutes while some kid is on the phone oblivious to us in the store and second clerk is playing with a display... other customers waiting around to return equipment ...this is on a Wednesday afternoon... This place was seriously amazing when it came to rentals. A group of friends and I came here to rent some equipment for a day trip. The staff was all so friendly and helpful. They really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. I rented a pair of performance ski boots for the day which were only $15, way cheaper than the Brain Head Resort rentals. My boyfriend did a performance snowboard package for around $40. I will definitely come here for all my rental needs. They also have a pretty big selection of gear, new and used. I highly recommend this place! read more

I was told to check out Georg's Ski Shop when I come to Brian Head to get some new boots. I was immediately greeted by George who was extremely helpful and friendly. Later, I was working with Alena on boot fitting and she was patient with me and very informative. We found the perfect boot. Alena did not pressure me into buying a boot and said I could research to make sure I am buying the right boot. I did some research and found it to be a good boot for me. I ended up working with Mike to complete the order and he was extremely helpful. I had some old bindings that would not work with the new boots and Mike suggested that I try the demo ski's and make sure that I like the boots, to which later I can get new bindings to work with the new boots. On another note, as I was leaving, I noticed they were selling firewood, so I asked how much for a bundle and George said take the bundle and pay when you come back tomorrow. It is not often that you find people who are genuine, kind, passionate about what they do, but I found all of that at Georg's. I will be making all of my purchases with this store as I upgrade mine and my families ski's throughout the years. Keep up the great work! read more

After getting the run around on some kids snowboards from the resort someone finally suggested we try George's. I wish we would have come here in the first place. The price was much better, but the service is what my review is about. The whole staff from beginning to end was awesome to my two little kids and made it such a fun easy process. I wish I remember the girls name working in rentals but she deserves a raise. read more

This place is very affordable and the entire staff are very friendly and helpful. I rented snowboard equipment for my son and while taking a break from snowboarding, he placed the board on a rack. He turned around to check his phone for a few minutes, and when he turned around again, the board was gone! Someone mistakenly took it. The following day, my wife and I went back to Georg's to see if anyone returned the missing board. Nothing. The manager asked a staff member to go to the ski resort to see if someone turned it in there and then, he gave us a replacement board so that my son can continue snowboarding at no extra cost. Now, that's what I call customer service! Fortunately, the missing board was found. read more

Found this place online while I was looking for a place to Demo some performance equipment for my day of skiing at Brian Head. I'm a formerly excellent skiier who hadn't been on boards in 10 or 15 years, and this was only my third day back. My old stuff didn't cut it anymore, and there have been so many changes in the technology, I needed to find somewhere that really knew what they were doing, and would get me set up with some gear that would keep me challenged and interested, but not get me killed! ; ) Not only did the guys there (I wish I had remembered their names) take good care of me in that department, they also hooked me up with a lift ticket at a substantial discount from Brian Head's already reasonable price! And this was for an out-of -towner that was just staying for the one day.... Their shop is beautiful and well-stocked, and only a few hundred yards up the main road from the main Brain Head lodge and parking area. When you're on your way into town, drive past main parking lots and you'll run right into it. The only possible Con was that it was a bit of a pain in the butt to drag the gear back out to the car and hurry to drive it back over to the shop after being worn out from the day of skiing. It isn't far, but their posted hours aren't much later than the resort itself stays open, so it was a bit of a rush. So it would have been easier to pick up and especially drop off the gear right there at the lodge, but it was a pretty minimal inconvenience. And the guys were still there finishing up for the night when I stumbled back in, maybe 10 minutes after their posted closing time. No problems or hassles. I definitely plan on making a return trip to Brian Head, hopefully as soon as next winter, and Georg's will be the first place I call. read more

I did my research on ski/snowboard rental shops prior to my arrival. This place had the best deal in regards to the rentals. The people there are friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They're also patient to ensure they've met your needs. I had originally rented for 2 days, planning on two days of fun, but due to the blizzard and not wanting to ski the next day, the manager was kind enough to reimburse my money. There are some time constrictions to get the refund, but, they were accommodating to my situation, and that alone earns them my business next time around. I also printed out a coupon online prior, and took that with me to get an extra savings. read more
