Near the train station and the bus. We walked late at night and never had an issue. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and the park. They gave us a list of restaurants and a map. CONS: The only issues I did have were that there were so many stairs. We personally did not mind it- my mom does walk slowly up and down stairs, but for someone else, this could be an issue. The bed was too firm to my liking, but other people might not mind it. Low water pressure in the bathroom. Overall, I would stay here again if I visited Seattle.

If…read moreyou want to be literally in the heart of the City, this location may not be for you, as its about a 1/2 hour walk to Pike Place or to the Space Needle, or a 15 minute drive. But considering how expensive Seattle is to park (as much as $40 a day), you can walk or take the bus ($2.25) or a taxi ($7) to get to the touristy spots like Pike Place or the Space Needle. We stayed on the third floor in the Garnet Room, which I highly recommend unless you can't walk a lot of stairs. The room has a lot of natural sunlight, plenty of storage area for our belongings, and plenty of room to spread out. The plus is there's no one above us, so it was definitely quiet! My only minus is the tv in the room is tiny (my computer monitor at home is bigger) and its antenna tv, not cable, so its hit or miss if the station comes in. The Inn does have DVD's in the library, but I had no idea where to get the DVD player. The Inn provided a portable air conditioning unit and fans in the Garnet room, but quite honestly, it never got hot enough to use. The room did get a little stuffy but we opened the sky light panels, and the crack of air plus the fan gave the room ample circulation. The Garnet room had a nice deep, whirlbath (jacuzzi style) tub which was wonderful to soak after a long day of being a tourist. There's very little street traffic at night, and even with the windows opened, it was quiet. Every morning, breakfast was served between 7:30-9:30. Even though the table was set for 10 people, we never seemed to have any problem sharing breakfast with the entire house. The breakfasts weren't extremly "gourmet" compared to many B+B's I've stayed at, but the food was hearty, and sufficient to get us through the day, such as french toast, huevos ranchero (with scramble egg instead of fried), blueberry pancakes with sausage, and a herb scramble with rosemary toast. Plenty of coffee or tea, and a side board with yogurt and granola toppings. Other perks included free use of the computer and printer, plenty of little snacks throughout the house, like nuts, candies, biscottis, and a fridge to store food or drinks, if needed. There was coffee and tea available all day, and fresh fruit. Again, nothing really extravagant, but sufficient to make our stay pleasant. There's parking in the back for 4 or 5 cars, and an overflow next door in the green house lot, plus street parking if needed. If I had to give it a negative feedback, it may be the lack of interaction the staff has with the guests. But, some people tend to like not having to see the staff, but they did provide a number for us to call if we needed anything, anytime. The staff also accommodated our early flight, and had breakfast for us at 7:30 prompt, so we could be out the door at 7:45. For the price we paid ($159/ night) and a quiet location, its a very good deal and I'd gladly recommend this place.

Linda makes you feel like family and she and Benny take care of even the smallest details to make your stay pleasant. Heck when we met her she was making sure a girl who was looking at colleges to attend knew how to get to the B&B and if she needed to contact anyone to let them know she arrived safely to the B&B. It's is close shopping, restaurants and nightlife on the hill that you can walk around to all of it. I highly recommend staying there.

The…read morehubby states that he's never been to Seattle before, which happens to be one of Virgin's stops. So, for our 1-year anniversary, we head off to Seattle. Upon arrival, we head into our taxi into the lovely area of Seattle that is Capitol Hill. Lynda, the owner of this beautiful B&B, greets us warmly at this beautiful old Victorian-style home that's been in her family for decades upon decades. The hubby and I particularly like staying at B&Bs because they tend to be cleaner (after all, what person would let their OWN house go into a state of disrepair), and we actually like talking to the friendly owners and other guests. Admittedly, this place has furnishings that aren't exactly hip & modern. It lends itself to a bit more 'old-woman' chic. However, the furnishings are all old antique furniture that has been in her family for ages. Beautiful quality furniture that kind of takes you back in time. But what REALLY sets this place apart is Lynda herself. Lynda is a lovely woman...feels like your friendly aunt who wants nothing more than to chit chat at her dining table with you. Sure, she can be a bit overly-chatty, but like we said, we love a friendly B&B host. Lynda really made our stay lovely - even sent up a bottle of wine for us on our anniversary with a cute little note. Got to talk to Lynda about all kinds of wonderful and fascinating stuff (she lived in Mexico for 20 or so years when she went off to college, met a guy down there and married him!)...conversations were lovely and really made our trip all the more 'cozier'. Side note: Lynda has a large dog, Madeline, and a cat, Agnes (I believe). Agnes is apparently the meanest little cat...but she ignores you so just ignore her. Madeline is absolutely a doll...a big lovebug. But obviously...if you don't like pets and you don't like a chatty host, then this place may not be your place. But otherwise, head on over to this lovely B&B and let Lynda take care of you!

We stayed in a double bed room with a balcony. The rooms are very spacious. The bathrooms are outside the room in the hallway so you have to share them with other guests which sounds inconvenient but it really wasn't a problem at all. The breakfast is served in the kitchen and dining room. Our first day we had banana and walnut pancakes with sausages and fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice as well, all very delicious. They usually keep freshly baked cookies in the foyer which my daughter looked forward to each time. They made up our room while we were out sightseeing. It's always nice to come back to a tidy room. We had a very early train to catch the next day and they were so accommodating by packing up our breakfast to go in bags where we could just grab from the fridge at 6:30am. Overall we had a lovely stay at this bed and breakfast. It was clean, quiet, and in a great location which were my top three priorities.

The lodge, the room and the property are lovely. Everything was neat and clean. Breakfast was wonderful. "Wine Down Time" was a nice touch and there were fresh flowers waiting in our room for our anniversary. We enjoyed wandering the property the next morning. Woodenville has some great places to eat and downtown is walk around friendly. I highly recommend staying here if you are in need of a getaway!

There was a significant amount of hair on the pillowcase as well as on the sheet underneath. It didn't seem like the room had been prepared at all for our stay, and I'm unsure if the sink, toilet, and shower had been properly cleaned and sanitized. I was also quoted $187 over the phone and understood that to be the total price. I didn't have an option to book online since the google listing stated that I need to call the hotel directly to book. When I checked the charges the morning after, I noticed additional taxes had been added, which came out to an additional $30. Since I was specifically comparing prices in the area and was considering another option that was less than $187 including taxes, knowing the full price upfront would have affected my decision. It felt dishonest and wouldn't stay here again bc of this lack of transparency Overall, the lack of cleanliness at check-in and the unexpected additional charges were both disappointing and could have been avoided with better attention to detail and clearer communication. The wife was pleasant though, and that was a positive part of the stay. Edit: wow I'm so disappointed at how the owner responded to not just the message I sent him, but to this review that I posted on google. It's funny that he calls me a scammer and that I posted a fake review when I have the receipt to show when I stayed at the property and he's been boasting via text how many 5-star reviews he has, yet is so bothered by this one. Many of the positive reviews seem fake - I work in marketing and can tell based on the frequency and the content of the reviews whether or not they are genuine. HE HAS 4.8 STARS ON GOOGLE FROM FAKE REVIEWS, not bc he has an honest business. He got two more positive reviews in the last 24 hours to make up for this one negative review. Pretty sus for a tiny hotel with limited rooms. Hilarious that he calls this a fake review when he pays for his. So believe every negative review on here bc that is the true reflection of what it's like to do business with this owner. I notified him 45 minutes after bc I didn't want to bother him while he was cleaning the bathroom. You can see the timestamp that literally messaged him about the hair one minute after he notified me that the bathroom was cleaned. We spent about an hour unable to relax and wind down after a long day of walking around the city while our bathroom was getting cleaned and sheets being replaced. Also know that the home is set up like a dorm, where the bathroom is either shared or on a completely separate floor. Very different from what you'd expect from an actual hotel, and feels more like a hostel. In our initial conversation, he never mentioned that it was a subtotal or pretax amount that he was quoting me, and only the morning after I messaged him, did he respond to let me know that it was the subtotal price that I was quoted. I highly recommend seeing the other negative reviews, as they indicate how money hungry Ryan is. I never requested a full refund, only the taxes which he failed to mention which I think is very reasonable, but he went on about his 5-star reviews that he paid for lol. He apparently charges people $15 for a parking pass, without letting them know that parking is not guaranteed. I didn't see one parking spot open in my walk around the neighborhood at 9pm which confirms the disappointment in the other reviews. LACK OF TRANSPARENCY = DISHONESTY and he fails to understand this! I attached my receipt showing proof of my stay, and the messages between us to show proof that I'm not a scammer, since Ryan seems to have a habit of gaslighting people reading the reviews. He certainly lives up to the name of his hotel. If you have ANY hiccups during your stay, don't expect him to be compassionate as he runs his business like a big corporation with a cold heart rather than a small business, lacking an ounce of compassion or accountability even when they are a result of his own mistakes and dishonesty.

Upon getting here, I was greeted from across the lobby from the lady at the front desk. Checking in was a breeze. Went through the motions and soon enough I had my key in hand and I was off to the room. One of the things to note here, the elevators are slow. There are only one bank of elevators, two shafts. They can take forever to arrive to whatever floor you may be on. Keycard is needed to access your floor and they are a bit small. You may have to get the next car depending on the time of day. The hallways to the rooms are a bit weird. They kind of give off a late 80s/early 90s vibe and are quite dimly lit. Maybe a bit more lighting would be good here, or at least newer bulbs. The other thing is that the ice machine is in the main hallway. Threw me for a curve here every time I heard someone getting ice. Not to mention that you might have to make multiple trips to ice machine given the size of the ice bucket. The room itself, when you walk in, gives off a calming feel to it. I had what they called a city view room with a king bed. It was a decent sized room for my stay. Even if it may have been a bit deceiving. The most deceiving part of the room was the window. The curtains cover just about the entire wall when there is a single window behind the curtains. If you were to open the curtains the whole way, you would show more of a wall than you would of a window. My view of the city wasn't bad, but I saw more rooftops than the streets. I also had direct line of sight into the office building that adjoined the hotel in this block. Huge plus side in here was the mini fridge. Really made for an added bonus. There was ample storage in the room. A small closet for your garments that needed hung up, more than enough drawers. and a suitcase holder. Desk for working, chair for relaxing. But the lacking part here was the fact that there weren't many options for plugging things in. I mean, there were, but it was your untraditional outlets. They ran across the baseboard of the entire room and you had to figure out where you were going to plug things in if you needed to. No outlets connected to the bedside lamps, only USB connections on the clock. One plug and a dated ethernet cable on the desk lamp. I had trouble understanding this, but made it work. Bathroom had this retro feel. Old school tub, sink and toilet. Kind of gave it a charming feel. The tub was big enough to take a relaxing bath. Which was nice because the water pressure wasn't the best but did the job. The tub was weird to use. Like they had the wrong fixture to use. Instead of a knob, it was a lever. And to get the shower on you had to pull out on the faucet instead of up. Just an odd thing. If you don't do this upon entry to the room. Read the memo they leave on the desk. Mostly just a rundown of the rules of the hotel, but this is where you find there are two bottles of water in the mini fridge for your consumption, and it's free. So bypass those $4 bottles of water sitting on the desk. While here, I also got a note under the door that they were going to be running fire alarm drills. Thankfully I was out of the hotel for this. The location of this place is amazing. Completely connected to everywhere you want to be and go. Short walk to both the light rail and monorail. A few blocks from the waterfront. Shopping and dining all around. I was able to make this a starting and end point each day. Every time you stepped back into the hotel you were welcomed back by whomever was working the front desk. Next time around, if I come back and opt to stay here, I might choose a different style room as there seems to be better options for that.

Silver Cloud Broadway is very convenient for Harborview, Swedish, Providence etc if you don't mind walking a few easy blocks or it would be a quick and easy Lyft or Uber. The rooms are reasonably quiet (ask for a higher floor for less noise), beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows, and the electrical situation is modern and fairly intuitive ie I was able to charge my devices easily and the light switches were easy to find. The bathroom is a little dated (still has a combination tub/ shower which I actually prefer) but again, no difficult to figure out shower controls. So what made this a 5 star stay? The desk clerk gave me a lower rate than I had booked on line. Then we checked out a day early as my hospital stay was shorter than expected. Crankypants left my hair dryer in the room. I didn't miss it for 4 months yet when I called, they actually had it!
