We love this charming B&B located across the street from the beautiful Green Lake! It is very professionally managed and owned by Blayne and Julie. Everything is meticulously arranged and nicely decorated. We stayed in the Ballard room which had a nautical theme with photos of ships and sea shell decorations. Each room at this B&B has a fireplace used as the heating source and it sure kept us nice and toasty at night. The bathroom floor is also heated. The lake is great for a walk or bike in the morning before the yummy breakfast! Breakfast is freshly made by Julie to order and she definitely makes you feel like home. I will definitely reccomend this to anyone and will definitely come back!

It's the little things......everything about this quaint, beautiful B&B focused on 'the little things'. Greenlake Guest House is located just outside Seattle in this beautiful area called Greenlake. There is a 2.8 mile walking, jogging, bike and roller blading path just outside the door. We called ahead asking if they could hold our bags as it wasn't time for check-in, and we were heading out to a Seattle Seahawks game. The owners said, 'of course'. We were greeted at the front door by Blayne & Julie. They gave us the keys to our room, took our bags, and off we went. We reserved the Greenlake room, which overlooks the main street, Green Lake Drive. The room was super clean and very welcoming. The room has a gas fireplace, queen size bed, cozy chair in the corner with a reading lamp to sit back and relax with a good book, a dresser with ample drawers, a closet with lots of hangers (2 thick/heavy, cozy bathrobes), a large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, high quality/soft toilet paper, thick, soft bathroom towels, plenty of hooks to hang towels or your bathrobe, and heated bathroom floors, On top of the dresser were 2 glasses (there is a small refrigerator in the hallway that has complimentary sparkling water, regular bottled water, and a variety of sodas for your choosing), fresh flowers in a beautiful crystal vase, and 2 salted caramel chocolate pieces to enjoy. On the side table, there was a noise machine wherein you could choose chirping birds, ocean waves, white noise, or nothing at all. Our room faced Green Lake Drive, so it was a little noisy in the morning, but the owner focuses on the little things and had a container with ear plugs, if you so choose to use. Now to the rest of the house: 1. Dining Room. There are 3 tables in the room. 2 - 2 person tables and 1 - 4 person table. Each day, the tables are set with fresh flowers, a different colored placemat, linen napkin and napkin ring. Breakfast is served from 8 - 9:30 a.m. 2. Breakfast. Each day there was a special breakfast item highlighted. One day it was fresh fruit bowl of strawberries and blueberries, pumpkin pancakes with ginger butter plus an option of chicken/apple sausage or vegetarian sausage, On another day, it was poached eggs w/ roasted asparagus, sausage, and home made cinnamon rolls! AND, if that wasn't enough, they also have a plethora of optional substitutions such as oatmeal, GF breads, homemade granola, yogurt, espresso coffee, almond milk, soy milk, etc. They are very accommodating for people with dietary restrictions, food allergies, vegetarians and vegans alike. 3. Cookies. By the afternoon, you will find freshly baked cookies in the nook area of the great room. In this room, there are 2 cozy leather chairs by the window where one can sit back and relax with a good book or gaze out the window. There is a Keurig machine wherein you can help yourself to coffee or hot chocolate and 1 (or 2) cookies. One day, there was a Spicy Chocolate Snicker Doodle, and Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip the next. 4. Wine. The owners will offer complimentary wine @ 5 p.m. each day in the main living room of the B&B. It's the little things that Blayne and Julie thought of to make their guests feel comfortable and right at home. You could spend a small fortune on a hotel stay, but would not find anything near the comfort and charm of this B&B. For a place to take the time to focus on the little things would be reason enough to want to live here year round. :)

Stayed at Green Lake Guest House for 5 days. This is a beautiful 1920's era home located along the waterfront of Green Lake. The setting is beautiful. The house is charming. Blayne and Julie were wonderful hosts. I stayed in the Ballard room. It was decorated with 2 twin beds, a gas burning fireplace, ceiling fan, desk, and closet. The attached full bathroom had heated floors. On arrival there was a guest gift of local treats including smoked salmon, crackers, almonds, and chocolate covered cherries. There was a TV and DVD player in the room along with a large selection of "Best Picture" DVDs. In the upstairs hall, there is a mini-fridge stocked with complementary soda, water, and juice. Wi-Fi is available free of charge within the house. Breakfast was amazing. Rolled omelet with tomatoes, avocado, and green onion with sausage and banana chocolate chip bread. Garden vegetable omelet, Pumpkin Pancakes, and Banana pancakes. Each breakfast started with a fresh fruit cup that included variations of: Orange, Grapefruit, apples, grapes, pears, blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, etc. It was always fabulous. If you are in town visiting family, they will allow you to invite guests to breakfast for a small fee and some advanced notice. Very gracious. There was a key to the door and a key to the bedroom door. This is a safe area. It is street parking but that was never an issue. Did not even have to parallel park. I recommend staying at GLGH without hesitation and know that I will be back when I am in Seattle again.

Husband and I stayed here during our babymoon PNW road trip. Our stay was wonderful. Easy check-in, super clean and welcoming room, bathroom with HEATED FLOORS, a fireplace in each room, and homemade breakfast every morning. Also a guest fridge stocked with water and a variety of sodas. There was a wide selection of Oscar winning or nominated movies for us to enjoy in our room as well as plenty of books. In the common area downstairs there are fresh cookies as well as a Keurig machine for snacks. The owners were very friendly and available to answer any questions we had about the area or our other destinations. The location was perfect as it was beautiful, quiet, and located very close to everything without having the nightmare of being in the heart of downtown. Cannot wait to come back to the Seattle area just to stay here again.

My husband and I were celebrating his BD and our 41st wedding anniversary so we decided to drive to Seattle in the spare of a moment. I went on TripAdvisor and Yelp and noticed this B& B had 5 stars and excellent reviews so I called them and reserved two nights. We were NOT disappointed! Everything about this place is perfection! Beautiful home, nice location, very comfortable and clean room, great amenities, heated bathroom floors, delicious breakfast and treats, gracious innkeepers Julie and Blayne. Since I mentioned to them that we were celebrating our anniversary, when we arrived there was a beautiful little package beautiful wrapped and there were 3 boxes individually wrapped with different chocolates and candy. What a nice touch!! Even though the home is not near downtown but in a very nice neighborhood in front of a lake, it's very easy to get to Pike Market if you are driving and also there is public transportation and many restaurants nearby. We'll definitely be back! PS: there is coffee and tea available all the time as well as fresh fruits and cookies.

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. If we find ourselves back in Seattle, this is where I will want to stay.

The pictures they provide either are from more than 10 years ago or they spent a LOT of time and money on photoshop. At one point this was doubtless a nice place and well cared. This is not the case now. The primary photo is well cropped and does not come close to reality. Check the photos I provided from this year vs what they show. Second, they mention street parking, however they recommend the $15 parking pass. Since I would never street park in that part of town, I of course purchased the parking pass. I assumed they had a small area for parking and wanted to be sure I was covered. Wrong. The $15 fee is for a permit to park on the street. NO guarantee of a parking space anywhere near the Gaslight or anywhere at all. Some may find this acceptable, I do not. Third, there is nothing on the first page of their website about no off-street parking. After arriving and finding no parking, along with the obvious run-down condition of the property, I went in to speak with the owners feeling like it would be better to find a cleaner property with parking. NO, they won't issue any refunds, stating "This is a small business, and we can't afford to refund. They also stated that the email they send a couple days before check-in warns of street parking. Yes, it did mention parking, 8 paragraphs down. My bad, didn't read through the entire email. Of course, that email was sent a couple days before check-in, well within the 2 week, "NO Cancellation" period. Bottom line, we have your money, and we are keeping it. Rather than forfeit the $320 one-night stay, I thought we would hope to find parking when we returned from dinner with friends. I should have let the money go... We made the further mistake of going to dinner before going up to our room. Check other negative reviews, worn, dirty, stained floors and furnishings. Motel 6 might have been a better choice. I provided a few pictures, including their header photo and what reality looks like. The musty, moldy smell on the second floor and specifically our room was horrid. And I can't forget the all-night serenade of police sirens running up and down the street. At least 12 times during our evening stay. I would say that the location isn't bad, but the fact is that within a block and a half the homeless have taken over the streets and park. Although you could park with them about 3 blocks down, no telling what you would get when you went back. I travel for a living, this trip was to see a surgeon at Harbourview. I wanted to make it as nice as possible for my wife and the purpose of our visit. Thought this would be better than my usual corporate digs. Can't express how disappointing it was. I failed to read the 1-star reviews as there are many who seem to be happy with their stay. I simply hope anyone reading this will look deeper before booking something that is as overrated as anything I have seen.

When we arrived at Treehouse Point, everybody was so professional and kind! We were given a quick tour of all of the amenities in the lodge and other community areas. Then, we were directed to our tree house, Ananda. Just wow! It was cozy as well as spacious, and it was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need! Even though there were other tree houses around ours, we ALL enjoyed total privacy. A great deal of attention has been made in creating personal experiences while still tending to developing a very unique community. All building materials in our treehouse were the best quality available, and the workmanship is second to none! We walked around the grounds, being respectful of others' privacy. Every tree house was unique and beautiful! We then took the trail down to the Raging River. It was beautiful, but our spring has been unusually dry, and the river a little thirsty. Overnight, a rainstorm came through the area. The sound coming from a refreshed river the next morning was breathtaking! I wanted to wake up so I could experience it all, but instead I slept through it. I guess I slept comfortably! (And I am not young.) The bath houses were beautiful and felt like individual spa rooms. They were supplied with wonderful bath products, and the shower offered a pampering experience. Similarly, special products and amenities were provided in our private unit, including coffee and tea. We were going to wash our few dishes, but no dish soap was found, further demonstrating Treehouse Point's intent to pamper their guests. After waking up in the trees, we prepared our own mugs of coffee, tea, and nibbles. After a peaceful start to the day, we made our way to the lodge for breakfast (feeding the fish along the way). Our own breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The chef and souz chef prepared several wonderful dishes. The selections and quality of preparation were both outstanding! Our visit was so wonderful that we truly didn't want to leave! We made the visit to fulfill a bucket list item, but we are already talking about returning again, this time with friends. I could go on and share more, but I want you to delight in your own experience, just as we had. If you've been considering a visit to Treehouse Point, wait no longer. You will never regret it!

Sleeping in a beautifully crafted treehouse, surrounded by towering evergreens and the peaceful sounds of nature, was pure magic. It's such a cool and unique experience -- cozy, serene, and unlike any traditional hotel stay. One of my favorite memories is making s'mores by the fire and enjoying them beside the running river. We loved it so much that we booked another visit -- but unfortunately, we ran into an unexpected childcare situation that meant we had to cancel. It was incredibly disappointing and honestly very inconvenient. We had been so excited to return, and having to change plans at the last minute was stressful. That's where Abbey Rodriguez truly shined. She was so gracious, kind, and understanding throughout the entire situation. Instead of making us feel like we were causing a problem, she stepped in immediately, handled everything with compassion and professionalism, and made what could have been a frustrating experience feel manageable and supported. Her warmth and willingness to help turned a difficult moment into one that actually deepened our appreciation for TreeHouse Point. Exceptional places are special -- but exceptional people make them unforgettable. Abbey's graciousness and care showed us that TreeHouse Point isn't just magical because of the treehouses and the forest (though those are amazing!) -- it's magical because of the heart behind it. We are so happy with TreeHouse Point and so grateful for the way we were treated. We absolutely plan to visit again soon -- and next time, we can't wait to be back in the trees where the magic began.
