Family is important! What's not to LoVe.

I have been to ALOT of Mexican restaurants across the country! I can say that Cebollas is the best. The food is amazing and very authentic- they don't Americanize like other restaurants. The atmosphere is festive and fun with color and decor. The staff are delightful and always smiling, asking if you need anything ( not right after you take a large bite) before they move on to other tables. I have been to all the Cebollas in Indiana ..... not one was disappointing. Birthday treats are always a nice touch. Enjoy!!

Restaurant reviews In the midst of the pandemic, we were craving carry out Mexican food. As you know in Fort Wayne, there is quite a bit of travel between your home and restaurants depending on where you live. We decided on this place since it was close to our home and also decided to eat our meal fresh in the car. The first call to place our order did not go through, but luckily our second call we were able to reach someone and leave our order. I was surprised they told us 10 minutes and it would be ready. The restaurant is in a small strip mall around the corner from and auto supply store. The check out process was easy, but they still made you sign with a pen. I had ordered the Cebolla nacho and burrito verde. The food was freshly cook and came with ample chips and salsa. The salsa was better than canned variety with a little spice. The cebolla nacho was okay, however they completely forgot to put any cheese in the nacho so that was disappointing. You can see the lack of cheese on the pictures. The burrito verde was good with ample ingredients, but the steak could use a little more seasoning. Overall the food was just okay and I'll have to check out some other mexican places before deciding on whether to come back again. On interesting observation was the lack of traditional taco items on the menu.

What should have tipped me off was the salsa for the chips. The parking lot was full for a snowy Wednesday night, which is usually a good sign. The decor was vibrant and, as one reviewer put it, kitschy. I've been to several Mexican restaurants throughout the state with similar decor. I get seated and a server comes by with a big bowl of tortilla chips and a carafe of fresh salsa. I was hungry and ready to dive in; I pour a bowl full of salsa, grab a chip, dip it, and...meh. All tomato flavor with a hint of cilantro, and no heat. What a letdown. I look through the menu, and it's standard Mexican fare - enchiladas, burritos, chicken, steaks, but nothing really stands out. The house speciality is a steak. I end up ordering a combo dish, beef tacos, burrito, and a tamale. The ground beef was good, but had no flavor. If this was picadoillo, it would have been seasoned and flavorful. Luckily they had a bottle of Cholula on the table for some flavoring. The tamale was a lump of hard masa with ground beef and chili sauce covering it. It wasn't horrible, but not the best I've had either; I've had canned tamales that were better. There was lots of food, but it was all bland. Considering I'm in Indiana, local readers are probably expecting that. I expect better, especially since I've visited several muy autentico Mexican restaurants in the state. I'm giving Cibolo three stars for the service, and that I didn't get food poisoning. Two hours later, the dinner is still sitting in my stomach like a rock.

I really liked this place! The taco salad was almost perfect. Beef could have more spices and diced tomatoes instead of a single slice, but it was very good. I tried the Sopa Mexicana. I can't say I really liked it but if I was fighting a cold I might order it again. Chips and salsa were great.

Great experience tonight at Cebolla's! I love Mexican food and I do have pretty high expectations when it comes to flavor. I spent 10 years in Phoenix and I wasn't sure if I would find a Mexican spot that would deliver the flavor that I was looking for. I was wrong! Cebolla's really gets it right. I had the Chimichanga Sabrosa, shredded marinated spicy beef with peppers and onions. Wow! I actually could eat another right now lol! I also love spice and I always ask if a restaurant has a spicier salsa or hot sauce. They do! Our waitress seemed a little hesitant to offer it to me but I convinced her that I could handle it. She called it a tomatillo sauce, I'm pretty sure it was made with habanero. It was awesome! It was definitely very spicy but I really enjoyed the flavor and I thought it really enhanced the flavor of the chimi. I would recommend asking for this sauce if you like extra spice! Overall I am impressed. I will definitely come back to Cebolla's when I am craving Mexican food. There are many other items I would try on the menu.

Didn't realize how much food I ordered!

Service was above and beyond today! Ivan was our server, this guy was a pleasure to be served by. The entire staff was super pleasant today. Nice to feel all warm & fuzzy just by being at a place! THANK YOU Ivan for a pleasant dining experience.

I took a quick look at the Yelp reviews and decided to order carry out for lunch. I ordered a chimichanga with tofu, and a side of queso blanco. It isn't often that I see tofu on the menu at a Mexican restaurant so I was curious about it. It was excellent! The queso blanco was smooth and creamy with great flavor. The rice was flavorful but the beans were very salty. There are many vegetarian options here, more than most Mexican restaurants. The patio is large and beautiful. There were many people taking advantage of this warm and sunny early spring afternoon dining on the patio. The patio features approximately 20 tables, including several larger tables. Although I took my order to go this time I will plan to return with a group of friends to enjoy dining on the patio.

I actually think it's the decor that gives off that vibe. The decor is more toned down and doesn't incorporate all the bright colors you normally see at a Mexican cantina. There were four of us and we were sat promptly. Our waitress was quick to greet us and take our drink orders. She was friendly and made small talk while she served us. Now on to the food- the menu had a lot of different items that you don't see on the typical Mexican restaurant menu. I wanted to try them all but settled on the Barria tacos. They are good but they are greasy ( they are supposed to be tha way). You get three of them and the come with broth for dipping and hot sauce. I only finished 1 and a half because I had quite a few of the complimentary chips and salsa and the tacos were stuffed with alot of meat. My nephew got the same thing I got, they are his favorite. My husband got the chicken Souza enchiladas. I forgot to try some but he enjoyed them. He ate half of his whole meal and took the rest home. My niece got the Barria quesadilla, I think I would recommend getting these over the Barria tacos because they were easier to eat and didn't fall apart slightly when you handle them. We will definitely dine here again.

As an avid lover of Mexican food, my boyfriend has been searching high and low for a place that he can frequent for a good meal. After trying a few other places, we decided to try Mi Parrilla on a whim after a long day at the local zoo. We walked into a lively interior, with ample seating and comfortable booths. Our waitress was friendly and prompt with checking on us before and after we ordered, and we were quickly settled in while waiting for our meals. I haven't had a lot of experience with Mexican cuisine, but I love birria and wanted to try that here; as for my boyfriend, he got a chimichanga. We were immediately impressed at the portion sizes when the food came out - everything looked amazing! And honestly, these are the best I've had so far. They were crisp, filled with meat and cheese, and so flavorful. My partner was also very satisfied with his food, saying that this would probably become his favorite spot in town. We'll definitely come back to try more of their enormous menu!

This is easily one of the top Mexican joints in all of Fort Wayne. It's a huge restaurant that was surprisingly dead for lunch, granted it was a Monday. It's a nicely decorated place, the service was friendly and really fast (food was out in less than 10 minutes), and the food was simply awesome. Their chips and salsa are outstanding... I could literally drink the salsa. You get a ton of food for the lunch portion (way too much to eat in one setting), so I can only imagine the size of their dinner portions. $30 for lunch (2 people) is a steal in today's restaurant price-gouging times. CDM might be our new "go to" Mexican joint, and it's certainly our favorite on the NE side of town.

Otherwise, I worry it won't be around much longer.

Wow, very nice and also delicious. Their menu is amazing. Wide array of Mexican seafood dishes. They also have some non seafood options if needed. But when you see a seafood heavy menu at a restaurant, you *really* should get it. I focused on their new menu of shrimp dishes. They included head-on shrimp, in the shells. I wasn't sure I wanted to work for my meal and get messy. But damn, that Camarones al Cilantro (shrimp with cilantro) looked fantastic. I hemmed and hawed and decided I would order it along with some guacamole to get some vegetable material in me. When it came it was piping hot. Couldn't eat it, so focused on the guac for a bit. As the shrimp cooled I went to town on what may have been the messiest meal of my life. (Do NOT order unpeeled shrimp if you are on a first date or a job interview) Let me tell you - these shrimp were unbelievable. They were swimming in sauce and as I peeled them, i then dipped and chowed. The cilantro/chili/garlic? sauce was off the charts good. The onions and cucumber buried within it were also a nice discovery as I made my way through this mountain of a full pound of shrimp. It took a while and the sauce dripped down to my elbows at times. It was a caveman eating experience and it was probably the best Mexican dish I have ever eaten. It was probably a good thing I was eating alone. I don't see any other way to eat this unless you're a psychopath crunching through shrimp shells. But leaving those shells on keeps the shrimp moist as they cook and more importantly it keeps the shrimp flavor from cooking off into the sauce. Shrimp with the shell on do taste better - they are not just being lazy here. This meal was great and I would love to go back if I'm driving through again. Thank you for this!
