This establishment rocks. I went in for an oil change and a tire rotation. They were fast and efficient. I will go back. Thanks Chris.

Foam & Wash Car Wash

Foam & Wash Car Wash

This updated review is for the car wash and vacuums, as opposed to my previous reviews for their…read moreshady and failed "Oil Change Plus" garage (which finally closed down - I wonder why). The remodeled drive-thru car wash has a self-serve kiosk in which you can select your car wash option and pay by cash or credit card. I initially thought this was nice because it eliminated the previous days of the attendants trying to convince you to buy more than you want. But sure enough, in the middle of selecting and paying, here comes the attendant trying to upsell me. Not his fault - I'm sure Corporate is making him do it since everyone else has previously done the same here. The attendant handed be a brochure for unlimited car washes for $10/mo, he said. Before throwing it in the garbage, I read the fine print which stated a 3 month minimum is required, and it's $10 only for the 1st month. Everything after that is billed at a nominal $50 per month. Ha. The car wash itself was average. I still had bug guts on my vehicle after the wash, but the wash wasn't bad. The windows were clear and no swirl marks on my vehicle. No scratches this time (but it's happened here previously). The car wash prices are slightly steep. $18.50 will get you a car wash, undercarriage, tire shine, and hot wax. To compare, for $5 more, a nearby competitor offers the same service, plus they'll hand dry your car, vacuum the whole interior, clean the dashboard and clean the inside windows. Foam & Wash's prices should be slightly dropped if they can't compete. As far as the self-serve car wash, vacuums, and shampoo machines, this is the best service they offer. The prices are slowly creeping up, but they're not bad yet. The machines are always well maintained and work properly. The overall establishment is always clean and the garbage cans are frequently emptied.

Mavis Discount Tire - Cheap aftermarket ill fitting parts

I had previously used this Mavis for basic service and had generally reliable experiences, but…read moresomething seems to have changed. Most recently, I brought my Audi Q7 in for new tires. During the service, I was upcharged for new valve stems and TPMS components that were not included in the original estimate. Almost immediately afterward, the TPMS began malfunctioning. I brought the vehicle back with a 9:00 a.m. appointment to have them address it. My car sat outside essentially the entire day, and I finally got it back after hours. Despite having it all day, they never even put it on a lift to inspect the work they had just performed. They simply reset the tire pressures, which I had already tried multiple times, and told me they couldn't do anything else and that I needed to take it to an Audi dealer. I ultimately brought it to an independent Audi specialist who removed the tires and actually inspected the work. He found aftermarket TPMS components and incorrect valve stems had been installed, along with damage to the valve stem opening in one of the rims. I was told the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The damaged rim now has to be replaced, the shop is trying to source a replacement used rim, and I'm facing approximately $700 in additional repairs plus the cost of a rental car while my Q7 is off the road. This also follows a previous oil change here where bolts were overtightened so badly that I needed an Audi specialist to get them off before the oil could be changed again. I used to trust this location for straightforward work without unnecessary upcharges or problems. I don't know if there has been a change in management or staff, but my recent experiences have been completely different. The most frustrating part is that I brought the vehicle back specifically because something was wrong immediately after their work, gave them the vehicle for an entire day, and they didn't even inspect the work they had just performed. Instead, I was sent elsewhere and am now without my vehicle and paying hundreds of dollars to correct the problem.

I had a very disappointing experience at Mavis Tire in New Windsor, NY, and I won't be returning…read more I made an 11:00 AM appointment on Friday, July 3 to repair a slow leak in my front right tire. A simple tire repair should not have taken 2 1/2 hours, yet that's exactly how long I was there. What I don't understand is why the technicians spent time opening my hood and inspecting mechanical components that had absolutely nothing to do with the reason I came in. I wasn't there for a vehicle inspection or maintenance--I was there to have a tire repaired. My tire should have been fixed promptly, especially since I had an appointment. To make matters worse, I was charged $43 to repair a tire with a nail in it. Most reputable tire shops charge around $20 for a standard plug-and-patch repair. The biggest disappointment came a week later when the tire started leaking again. I had to take my vehicle to another tire shop, where they repaired it correctly. While waiting, I also noticed that the customer experience left a lot to be desired. The restroom was dirty, the waiting room had uncomfortable chairs, and the television was broken, making an already lengthy wait even more unpleasant. So, after waiting 2 1/2 hours, paying what I consider an excessive price, sitting in an uncomfortable waiting room with a dirty restroom and broken TV, and then having to pay another shop to repair the same tire correctly, I have to ask: Why would I ever go back? Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location.
