She just held a trash bag for me to put my donation stuff and another bag to put stuff I wanted to throw away. She helped take everything downstairs, but left all the trash down there and didn't help me haul it to the trash cans outside. She was real happy to take my stuff to be "donated" and even took my old iPhone to try to sell it. I thought she meant she was going to help me sell it, but apparently she just wanted to sell it and keep the money for herself. She also tried to cut the session short. When I contacted her a few days later she told me that we could discuss options for storage that would be most efficient with my space. She told me it would cost $150/hr for that. I already paid $500 for her to basically hold trash bags for me to fill. I definitely feel like I did not get what I paid for. I was really disappointed. I would recommend finding someone on task rabbit, who is more affordable. I wish I had.

From #HotMess to #Minimalist (mostly!)…read more A little bit about me... I'm a partner in a CPA firm and feel like I am busy most of the time. My home usually gets the last focus from me. I've always leaned toward the messy, unorganized side of things in all parts of my life. I even used to joke that I had hoarding tendencies. During the pandemic, I moved into full-on hoarder mode. I had so many things piled up in my house that I couldn't get around easily. Amazon boxes were everywhere! And I hated being home. In June 2022, I decided I had had enough and interviewed three different professional organizers. As soon as Amy and I spoke on the phone, I knew we were fated for each other! She made me feel so comfortable even on the phone and I believed that she could help me overcome a lifetime of keeping things! Amy and I have been working together regularly since then (with breaks during my busy tax times). Together, we've tackled the kitchen, the bedroom, my home office, the living room, my extra bedroom (which has now become my "she shack!"), the garage, and the exterior storage cabinets. Once we emptied the garage, I then emptied the off-site storage (10'x20') back into my garage. Today, JunkMD hauled away the last of the mess and my car can finally live in my garage after 17 years!! I don't know how to express how happy I am! It was such a relief walking into such a fresh, tidy space. That being said, there were a few small things that could be improved. For whatever reason, I felt like she was very rushed. The trash was left right outside the apartment without a new bag in the bin, and the dishwasher wasn't started -- small touches I've had with other cleaners in the past that make a nice difference. I had also paid for organization, originally planning to do the guest room and kitchen, but when she arrived I decided to just do the kitchen. The charge stayed the same, which I wish had reflected the smaller scope. Overall, Rachel's cleaning skills are truly excellent, and she's a joy to work with.
