Now it was up to us to take on the responsibility of making arrangements for his headstone. Clayton's Funeral Home recommended Stone Unlimited, and we are so glad they did. Stone Unlimited is located near the cemetery, so one day while visiting the grave-site we popped in to ask some questions. We weren't sure what we needed to do or what to expect. We met Marcy, who was wonderful and sat with us even without an appointment to walk us through everything. We had a lot of anxiety from the realization that we now had to figure out how we could ever create something that properly memorialized the patriarch of our family. She knew it was an emotional time for us and was very patient, explaining how the process worked, what the cemetery rules were for headstones, and the cemetery's design approval process. She took her time and explained all of our options without overwhelming us. Over the next hour and a half we talked about things like color, etchings, images, and the ways in which each of those choices could affect the chances of our design being approved. Over the following weeks we bombarded her with questions and revisions, both in person and over the phone, and she never made us feel like we were bothering or inconveniencing her. She was fantastic and was able to create a design that incorporates all of the things that were important to our father: his faith, his Irish heritage, and his career in the NYPD. A design that his wife of 56 years and his 6 very opinionated kids could all agree was beautiful. Marcy estimated it would take about 12 to 16 weeks for design to be approved and the stone created and put in place. Even with an early rejection from the cemetery and some redesign sessions prior to resubmitting, they still were able to set the stone in place just 12 weeks after our original conversation. The care and attention to every detail from Stone Unlimited during this difficult time was amazing. When the completed stone brought tears to our eyes, we knew that we had put our faith in the right people. We cannot recommend them enough.

It subsequently caved in by the following summer. It is now 2024 and I have notified the owner of the issue without any resolution. originally I was promised someone would be by to address, but he has now stopped responding to my calls, voicemails, and texts. It has now been two Summers with no resolution . This area is unusable, with four children this is clearly a safety issue. Even more disappointing he lives within a mile of me.

Horrible management!! Owner Dave Farrington has refused to return my several calls when his workers…read moredestroyed our property. Last season, they drove over my dog's lead that was staked in the yard. After offering to make it right, he never actually did anything. He played phone tag hoping I would give up. After several calls, I did and replaced it myself. This season they sliced into the netting of my outdoor gazebo causing it to entangle into itself, leaving it useless. He never came by to check on it, nor did he return my call. His website is a joke stating they return phone calls in hours, not days. Two weeks 3 days later, he still hasn't returned my call. Not trustworthy at all.
