CDM Asphalt Paving is terrific! From start to finish, every crew member was professional and proficient in their job. We have a fairly long driveway, 50+ feet. CDM removed the decades old cracked paving, replacing and leveling new asphalt. Great attention to detail, leaving the area neat and clean. Many thanks to Nick and Ray for great communication and to all the guys who contributed to such a fine project. read more

The January storms had our driveway torn up. I contacted CDM Asphalt and after setting a budget and doing a measurement of the portion of driveway we want redone, they were here within a few days and knocked out the work in record time. I worked with Brandon and he was my main contact during that time. Very nice guy and very responsive. Thanks for being a pleasure to work with! read more

Living on one of the private roads in Orinda, the six of us had to pay for long needed repaving just like was needed on the public roads. CDM and Max Garibay gave us the best bid for our steep 500ft 20% grade court. Despite how hard as the job was, 23% at the steepest part, stretching equipment capabilities, they did a great job. Then they repaved my driveway for the first time in 61 years. read more

Like many other reviews, decent work but no follow through and terrible communication. Excuses and eventually no response to promises of follow up for services offered. We had to use another contractor who was able to take care of our needs right away. Don't use, other contractors who have integrity and offer better pricing and services. read more

CDM just completed our church parking lot.. They came out and gave me an estimate an estimate twice. On. On the day of service they were prompt at 8 AM with their entire crew ready to start work.. Unreliable. Arranged a time to give estimate on our road. Nick did not show but called 5 hours later. No explanation but arranged again for the next AM. He did not show again and no further follow up. I had changed my schedule waiting for him. Complete waste of my time. read more

Nick was very responsive and gave me a quote over email based on the square footage of our driveway (we had our asphalt sealed). He showed up on time, and went above and beyond by running to the hardware store to fix something that wasn't part of the original quote. He didn't charge more. The team did quick work, were very pleasant, and finished the job perfectly. I would highly recommend. read more

CDM Asphalt - Resealed asphalt driveway. - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Concord , California

CDM Ashphalt was awesome to work with. Max, Nick and the entire crew are very professional. I did my homework & called every ashpalt paving contractor on Yelp to get estimates. CDM almost didn't get the job as they were last to show up but that's because these guys are always busy doing work. Our driveway is 400 feet long 10 feet wide on a steep slope and had loose recycled gravel already on it that was almost impossible to drive upon. Max came to estimate the jobsite and provided a fair competitive price with 0% upfront and full payment upon completion and satisfaction of all work. Max actually knew my Father-in-law who was familiar with his previous work and why he got the contract. Max was as eager to get started as I was and we scheduled a time the following week. These guys started on a Thursday and finished the job the very next day. CDM Asphalt brought in all of their own equipment. Max was amazing to watch on the Bobcat and graded the bumpy landscape very well. Nick and Brandon were really informative about teaching me the asphalt process. They took their time with the compacting roller and compacted the tons of recycled baserock that was trucked in throughly. Aftewards they laid down the black asphalt on their gigantic asphalt paver which is 3 inches thick and provides lots of traction for our vehicles going up and down the slope. Afteward the crew cleaned up went on their way. They left some of their rakes and a few empty water bottles but no big deal as the asphalt work was a job well done. Nobody is perfect as there were a few small issues that came up at the jobsite but Max was very fair about extending the asphalt about 50 more feet. All in all we were very satisfied with the job that CDM Asphalt provided and would recommend them to any homeowner that wants to improve their residence. read more

Nice guy, reasonable pricing, got us on his schedule promptly. However, he said to contact him for any problems and we do have a depression in the driveway that needs to be filled in and leveled. My spouse and I have left many messages and he has not responded. We are disappointed in the lack of follow up. read more

Called many times for a estimate, left voicemail with my information and project description and they never returned my calls.

CDM did a reseal on our lot yesterday and it looks awesome! It was really rough in some spots and they went above and beyond our expectations. Max , the owner, is great to work with. He gave us an outstanding price and matched it with his service. He was patient and understanding of not disrupting our tenants business operations for the day. Max was also on site to make sure the job was done right. We couldn't be more pleased with him and CDM. CDM should be everyone's go to for asphalt and paving needs in the Bay Area! read more

Max and his team are worth every bit of this top 5 star rating. We sought several estimates and Max came in at a very fair quote. He worked hard to find a time that would work with difficult weather factors. We have a long, steep, complicated driveway with a difficult entrance on the long dirt road. They managed their large trucks expertly despite the tight quarters. His crew was friendly and helpful, introducing themselves and offering to carry my groceries up the hill. Due to some unforeseen circumstances the job fell into a 3rd shorter day instead of getting completed in 2. Max and his team were absolutely positive about coming back and completing the job and doing it well. While others may have grumbled and cut corners, not this team. I can't recommend them enough. Nice, smart, professional, communicative, fair cost, and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Max for your hard work! read more

Max and his CDM Asphalt team did a great job installing an asphalt driveway at my home. They were very responsive and stuck to their provided schedule. The scope of work was straightforward, remove and grade existing gravel and then pave the appx 1300sqft. They worked quick but were thorough in their installation. These guys are true professionals. read more

A waste of time. I called for an estimate - my phone call was immediately sent to voicemail with a text reply requesting I text instead of calling. Nothing wrong with that, I figured they were busy at the moment, so I texted back exactly what I needed. NO RESPONSE. What a waste of time. read more

Contacted this company for an estimate. No show after they set an appointment...time wasters. Waisted my day waiting for them.

We've needed to repave our driveway since moved in and finally decide this was the year. It's a big expense so I wanted to make sure we hired someone who would do a great job. So happy we found CDM! Max was very responsive and able to give me a rough estimate by having me text him some photos. I found his prices very competitive. He then stopped by and we discussed the job. He even identified that he could help me solve a drainage problem we've had. He and his crew were very respectful, hard-working, and did a great job. I highly recommend them. read more

CDM Asphalt - We are thrilled with our new driveway! - Masonry/Concrete Near Me - Concord , California

Brandon at CDM is what made this project come together so easily. I have had my driveway replaced three times over the last thirty years. Not one time have I had it sealed otherwise it may have lasted longer. Brandon was on time for our appointment and from the very beginning made me understand that he knew what I needed for this job. He gave me a proposal that was very competitive with four other bids and even when I changed the job, he gave me an updated proposal that was on par with other company's. But Brandon made the difference. Just the way he spoke to me and made feel that he was going to team up with me to get through this project on time and on budget and the whole team delivered. You can see by the job they did that they all care and want to give you the best results even if it take a little more time and a little more material. I will use them again in the future and will recommend them to anyone. Please ask for Brandon, you won't regret it! read more

I started down the road of researching a replacement driveway. We were long overdue for this home repair project but it always got pushed down to the bottom of the list. I called around to a few companies that had been personally recommended to me and then did a quick Yelp search. Her is where I found Max and CDM Asphalt. He was so receptive to my inquiry for an estimate. He gave me a ballpark figure over the phone then came out later that day to survey the site. He had a written estimate out to me the next day. We were able to agree on a fair price and he was able to start the project the next week. Day of installation. Crew arrived early and started demolishing the existing asphalt driveway. It was great to watch Max and his crew work as a team. They cranked out the removal and started on the new base and asphalt. I can't believe how quickly it went. It was aesthetically to look at as well as structurally solid. I did have a slight problem with our garage door closing properly. One call to Max had a crew out the next day to heat up the asphalt and create a recess for the door to sit. The team even helped me adjust the lasers which were causing the door not to shut. I would definitely recommend Max and his team for any asphalt project. They were easy to work with, pleasant and professional. read more

Thank you so much CDM Asphalt. I had a serious issue with my asphalt driveway. They explained all of my options. They gave me a great price and did an outstanding job. Update: Max called immediately after I posted review. He came out the next day to look at driveway. He agreed that it shouldn't be cracking and said he would take corrective action. Delay has been on my part as my house was selling. He plans to complete the work next week. I will update again when it is done. He has been very cooperative and willing to correct problems. Company came back last week (again delay was due to sale of house). They refilled cracks and resealed the driveway. Basically did the job twice. I appreciate the willingness to acknowledge the problems and to redo the job. read more

Max at CDM Asphalt was terrific to work with. He was my first call and after receiving multiple bids, he was very competitive. Most importantly he was diligent. As an sole proprietor, I appreciate his drive and willingness to work around whatever schedule may arise. In my case, with Covid-19, we had an urgent need to re pave before our retail businesses re-opened. My parking lot was in bad shape (roughly 4800 square feet) In ONE DAY, they removed 50% of it , re graded that portion, and installed new asphalt on the entire lot. The next morning it was re-striped, their crew came out and cleaned up the site and we were back in business. They worked their butts off the entire time. I strongly recommend Max and his team at RDM Asphalt read more

Brandon and his crew did a great job sealing my asphalt driveway. They helped move a heavy basketball hoop and several other items off the driveway before cleaning it. They also took the extra effort to keep the sealer off the brick walkway that borders one side of the driveway and off the 150 foot long wooden retaining wall and that runs along the entire length of the driveway. We needed the street parking area in front of our house & driveway re-done. Old weed-choked gravel, cracks, sloping etc. CDM's website said no job too big or small, so I decided to give them a call after another asphalt company didn't bother returning my call. I'm glad I did! Brandon kept in constant contact with us until they were able to come, which we appreciated. He even found an opening in the schedule & got us in earlier than anticipated. The crew did a great job. All business, worked hard, BOOM the job was done with plenty of hours left in the day. They even spray-sealed our decorative brick in front of the driveway, which looks super fab. I definitely recommend this company! read more

Working with Max, the owner of CDM Asphalt, was an absolute pleasure from getting an estimate to completion of the job. My driveway isn't very long and most companies wouldn't even come out. Max arrived for the estimate the next day I called. He gave me a very reasonable bid. We agreed to start work as soon as the rains let up. Sure enough, as soon as the weather cleared he called and said the crew would start. His crew came right out exactly on-time. The job exceeded my expectations. On top of the ease of doing business, Max is very friendly and trustworthy. Use his services and you will get complete satisfaction! read more

CDM recently slurry sealed my driveway. I had several significant cracks and they told me the seal would settle into the cracks as it dried so I shouldn't expect the driveway to be smooth in those areas. It settled more than I expected and I called to ask them to come back and look at it. Branden promptly brought his crew back and put another coat on all the crack even though they had warned me about the settling before they started.
