During my 5 months living in Barcelona, CDLC became my favorite restaurant. This was aesthetically the coolest restaurant I've been in, right on the beach of the Mediterranean Sea. CDLC is also a lounge, club, and beach club. The restaurant features lounge areas inside and outside with masseuses that circle the restaurant offering massages. The cuisine consists of Asian fusion, middle eastern, and Mediterranean dishes. CDLC has some of the best sangria pitchers in the city that are hard not to enjoy while lying on the padded beds that line the restaurant. You truly feel like you're sitting outside under the palm trees while seated in an enclosed dining area that has space heaters. The ambiance is on point with lanterns and beautiful pieces of art everywhere you turn. I give the service a solid stars. After a few times visiting CDLC, the staff remembered us and made us feel particularly at home. They have a huge assortment of authentic tapas. When day turns night, you can hit the hookah lounge or any of the multiple bars downstairs in the club area. This is essentially a dreamland but it all comes at a price. CDLC was very expensive.

Do they not check IDs in Barcelona ? Is that not a thing? I'm not sure but we just walked in around 1:30am. No wait. No hassle. No mandatory coat check. Music was house/ deep house. I loved it. Decor was sultry/ indie style. Which I digged. Comparable to TAO NYC. 3 DJ sets from 1:30am -3:30am. DJ booth is in the VIP section over looking the crowd. Similar to all New York clubs. Drinks were a bit pricey. 1 vodka red bull and tonic water was 18/19 euros. A LOT of older men tho. But I found that a consistent observation from all the clubs/ bars I went to. Older crowd in nightlife for sure. Dress code: ranging from girls in rosche Nike sneakers to girls in office clothes, to girls in stilettos and skin tight dresses. Guys: younger guys --slick back model wavey hair with basic tee and a leather jacket. And the older gentlemen in more formal wear. Has a smoking area outside that overlooks the ocean. In the summer this place would be awesome. It's known to be a Beach club. Mostly the clubs on this strip in barcelonetta are a beach clubs. So 100% recommend in the summer. No complaints would come back here for sure !

The drinks were amazing!!! We got the espresso martini and the pornstar martini (it's passion fruit) the place offered a complementary 10 minute massage as long as you tipped your masseuse. They had comfy beds to lounge on right off the beach. Awesome place!

Grilled foie, orange frosting, crispy rosemary, candied mushrooms

My wife and I ended up at CDLC after having a difficult time finding one of the places we had pegged as we were preparing for our trip to Spain. For those that don't know, most Barcelona restaurants are closed on Sunday evenings, and the same is true to a lesser degree on Monday evenings. As noted, none of the places we'd "pre-identified" were open, so we looked to the concierge at our hotel (U232 in the Eixample neighborhood). When asked for a restaurant that would allow us to eat on/near the beach, he told us about CDLC, which he described as "a club that also served dinner". Given that description, we were skeptical, but it turned out to be one of the best meals we had on a trip filled with wonderful meals. The decor and atmosphere of CDLC (which apparently stands for Carpe Diem Lounge Club) was very pan-Asian, with the inside covered with Buddhas and other Far East decor. One of the most unique features were the beds in the bar and on the dining patio. We dined at a table, but couldn't leave without having a cocktail from one of the canopy beds. The menu was filled with tons of pan-Asian options, and the food was described as a mix of the "Occident" and the "Orient". Though a bit pricey, it was well worth it--the quality of the food was outstanding, so don't believe the reviews that talk about the bad food. Maybe ours was better because the place wasn't packed--it was a Monday night, after all. For the food, I couldn't resist trying the grilled foie. Glazed in orange "frosting" then layered onto a crispy rosemary crust and smothered in candied mushrooms, the dish was succulent, sweet and savory. I'd never had foie gras prepared in an Oriental style, but now I'm glad to have tried it.. I then moved onto the squid ink risotto with squid, confit octopus, baked mango and rocket, which amazing. I wish I could have this dish over and over, and would highly recommend it to anyone eating at CDLC. Plus, if price is a concern, this was one of the more reasonably-priced dishes, at under 20 Euros. My wife enjoyed a seared tuna dish, but I didn't try it since I was having a starter and an entree to her lone dish. We finished with the Yuzu dessert, which was a glass full of white chocolate mousse, yuzu jelly, and fresh fruit. It was rich and decadent, but also very refreshing. Sometimes I get a little overly-full after wrapping up a big meal with dessert, but this one was light enough that it wasn't a problem. Being a first-time visitor to Barcelona, I can't provide any insider info on when to go to CDLC, but I can tell you that the atmosphere, service and food on our visit was outstanding. If I ever find myself in Barcelona again, this will probably be on my short list of return stops.

Hen party meal - Asian fusion tapas

Really lovely Asian fusion tapas at CDLC and bottomless drinks of either red, white or cava. This was such a fun restaurant to dine in. If you want to enjoy a quiet meal then probably not the place for you, but it's perfect for hen parties as it's also a club. The staff kept our drinks topped up and the tapas was fresh and tasty. They also had entertainment throughout the night and you can request massages at the table if that's your thing. We were meant to have the table 2 hours but they let us stay over and kept the free drinks coming. Brilliant night

Had drinks at this place. Yummy cocktails :) Great for clubbing or just relaxing in the lounge. This place is one of Barcelona's well-known club/restaurants. It sits proudly on the beach front, sandwiched between other beach bars. It is popular amongst tourists alike who are in search of a glamorous setting to eat, drink and dance the night away.

The owner is a famous Dutch football player, so ofcourse I needed to go and have a look at this fancy loungebar. Located on the beach, not too far for the harbour with lots of other bars, clubs and restaurants. Usually the djs play house/latin/lounge, perfect to dance on and/or lounge on the white leather sofas, next to the dance floor. It can be that you spot some famous, rich people around here as half of the club is a VIP area, full of people who already started on there third bottle of expensive champagne. The toilets can be taken for ballrooms, with enough toilets for 15 people at the same time. Perfect, because woman can be extremely slow when it comes to toiletvisit, which can be quite annoying when you want to get back to your party as soon as possible..anyway, no problems in here! In the beginning of the evening you can have dinner outside on the terrace, with a great few over Barcelonas beach. Only if you make reservations though.. All in all, a night at CDLC costs a lot, but its fun for sure as it combines all ingredients for a great night out: superb food, tasty cocktails, international crowd, goodlooking people, beach, barcelona, sexy house music and an enhanting, asian interior with buddahs, tropical plants and soft red/purple/white lights illuminating the dance floor!

We were only in Barcelona for a quick trip but CDLC lived up to its name. The food was nothing amazing but the ambiance, trendy decor/setting and being able to be right on the beach made this a 5 star experience. The pitcher cocktails were delicious & beautiful and made it easy being in a group. The sushi was super fresh and pretty inexpensive. If you are in a group make sure you wait for one of the couch areas to open that's what made this experience so special. They even have people coming around giving massages here. The mango margarita pitchers were the best!

We were warmly greeted, although there was a bit of a language/cultural barrier at times. The interior is extravagantly decorated with tapestries and cushioned seating. Several hookas were available, and I found the couple smoking a ways away were not bothersome at all. We decided on ordering the big '2 person' platter with a sample of nearly everything on the menu. It was gigantic and had mover a dozen different dishes. There was hummus, baba ganoush, falafel, dolmas, various meats, flat bread and rice. Each was very flavorful, carefully prepared and disappeared quickly. Although there were three of us, we hit a wall and could not finish off the platter. It did take some time to come out, maybe 45 minutes, but it was apparent why when it came out. The price was reasonable for the amount of food, but more than I am used to in Spain. Drop in to Reem al Bawadi for a flavorful bite from the near east.

Cute place, nicely decorated- has great seating places to hang out. Staff welcoming and efficient. Food was great- needed a healthy meal- and we got it. We got the fattoush salad: was refreshing Mixed grill- had a kebab, grilled chicken, grilled beef (or lamb maybe- whatever it was, was good), and a lamb chop. Served on the classic thin bread with a side of grilled potato, onion, pepper! It was everything I needed it to be- all the meat was tender, flavorful and moist. Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish. The service was slow (as everywhere in Barcelona) but it was efficient, and our Egyptian waiter had good recommendations for everything. He was funny and personable.
