This dentist cost me 18 months of suffering for problems I didn't need to had they been truthful! BTW I was referred here by my insurance...I was stupid to trust them when they said the insurance would cover only a small portion of my treatment plan with my costs being around $3000! As I left I told said there was no way I could pay for all that work. They even went so far as ti tell me to search for dental clinics that were for low income people! I called my insurance a couple months ago to ask what my coverage was currently and I found out it has been the same since 2010 which means 95% of that treatment plan was covered with NO copay! I have one cavity that is noticeable on a front tooth so I have avoided many social situations since 2012 plus I have many more procedures that I have delayed because I didn't have the $ for it. I was devastated when i learned I suffered needlessly FOR NO REASON other than dishonesty! This is so unethical to say the very least and I am kicking myself for trusting them! But who would think a dentist or doctor would lie like this? read more

The CDIC team was incredibly helpful. My son broke his tooth on a friday night, they were able to see us on saturday, even though we have never been seen by them before. Martha and Veronica in the front desk were very helpful and knowledgeable about my insurance. They were able to help my son that same day. I went to this office for a tooth was bothering me. The doctor said the area around the tooth was a little swollen but the tooth looked fine. The he recommended a deep cleaning. They had me watch a video about deep cleaning first to try to convince me that I needed it, and the video said NO I couldn't get a regular cleaning LOL The receptionist came in to tell me the deep cleaning would be $600 out of pocket. I told her I could not afford that and she said ok how about we just clean around the area that's bothering you for $150? Um, no thank you. Who can afford those prices? Don't go here. I am relatively new to California and found this Dental Group when I broke a crown. They were incredibly efficient, very friendly, and very prompt with no waiting at appointment times. I would highly recommend them to anyone. I've had several crowns in my life and never has one fit as perfectly with absolutely no adjustment required. read more

I had a similar experience as many other people. I should have read the review before going there. I just wanted a routine cleaning since I wasn't having any dental problems. After being told my insurance was accepted, we scheduled a cleaning and I came in for my appt. Sat in the chair, and got my X-rays. After the examination, they told me that a cleaning would cost $175 because it requires special cleaning and irrigation that is not covered by insurance. I asked them that I didn't want a special cleaning but just a regular cleaning and they said that they cannot do that. I asked them why and they could not give me a good answer other than that is the service they provide there and to all of their customer. So basically you have to pay for a special cleaning or they will not do any service on you. That is horrible service. I couldn't believe it! First I'm told my insurance is accepted, but then I am refused the covered service and offered an expensive service. This is inexcusable and a sneaky way of charging customers for extra service. In addition. The only thing this place cares about is charging you ridiculous prices for stuff you don't need. BEWARE!! read more

So I know I've left a review before but these wonderful people deserve another. I have been going to this dentist office for a few years now and every time I go in, they exceed my expectations. I had a sensitive tooth a few months ago and decided I needed to get in ASAP. They were able to book me quickly and I found out I had a cracked tooth. Long story short, I needed a crown and a possible root canal (thank goodness I didn't need the latter after all). This was the first major dental work I have ever had on my mouth besides orthodontics when I was a kid. I was really nervous because I knew this meant fairly extensive work and I struggle with severe anxiety. Dr. Kang and her assistant Sandra were super supportive when I needed to take a break and catch my breath. They tried to work as efficiently as possible and kept me as comfortable as anyone can be with their mouth propped open for what seems like forever (it's not that bad, just seemed like forever at the time). I was in and out within an hour of my scheduled appointment time. Veronica and Martha (front desk) always greet me with a smile and are quick to ask how my kids have been and even remember their names. My 5yo son had his first appointment during my last visit and I was impressed with how they talked him through everything they were going to do. He was so excited when Dr. Kang said she was going to count with him how many teeth he had. He loves counting and he found it fun to see the X-rays of his little teeth as well. I can't recommend this dentist office enough! They are wonderful and I will keep coming back for as long as I can. read more

I have needed a lot of dental work done and starting with Martha who greets you when you come in to Veronica and Sandra who take care of you once you are in the back to Dr. Tuan one is in safe, confident hands. This office is no pressure and willing to work with you on spacing your dental work out if that is what you require. I would recommend them to anyone. DO NOT GO HERE. First of all, I will admit that I had not seen a dentist in almost 8 years when I first came in November 2014 to get a check up. I was planning on simply searching for any possible cavities and then getting a simple clean and being on my way. Instead, I was told, "OH no! You need a deep cleaning and bridges!" At first, I agreed with the deep cleaning because it had been a long time since I had a proper cleaning. However, I had questioned Dr. Tuan Nguyen about the bridges because I had never had an issue with my tooth gaps, one being surgically removed 10 year before. He INSISTED that I NEEDED it. Of course, being naive as I was, I told him to go ahead. Here came the worse news. Although I was told that my insurance would cover preventative care, I was going to be charged for both bridges AND the deep cleaning, even after being told that the cleaning was preventative care. The total bill was around $5500 and a painful operation. Before I signed the papers, I explained to the insurance lady that I did not have a lot of money and could not afford this. She continued to tell me that this was an important operation as though my life would end if I didn't sign the papers. She then told me that she would lower the monthly payments by $75 for me. I'm such an idiot because I should have made her write that in a statement, because the very first bill came out to be $232, and each month has never changed! Not only that, but after my second appointment for my bridge, I had the worst toothache in my entire life. I could barely open my jaw and I was scared. It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and when I attempted to call the office, they were not available until TUESDAY. I know companies that close for the holiday and even the Friday after, but they were completely unresponsive to any of my phone calls for SIX days until they finally got back to me. Meanwhile, I had no more money to even book myself into an emergency room, and so I had to lay in bed the entire time with every home remedy I could find on the Internet. Even when they finally called me back, they just transferred me to another dentist in Fullerton, who ended up fixing my FAULTY bridge (yeah, $5500 for a bridge that wasn't even closed all the way). During my final appointment in January, I was so thankful to be done with my procedure and just pay my bill with anything I could put into the payments. And then they tried to schedule me in for ANOTHER cleaning that was not covered by my insurance. It would have cost another $150 out of pocket, and the lady tells me, "Oh you can just add that to you CareCredit card." Meanwhile, I'm trying to find extra work just to pay off my current $5500 payment on time. Were they hospitable during my visit? Sure. Were they friendly? Sure. But I would NOT recommend this place to anyone who just wants preventative care under their insurance. read more

I chose this office for the extensive work I needed done. Everyone is very professional and caring. They take the time to ask how you are (during the process). DMD Tuan Nguyen has done all of my work and he's done an excellent job reconstructing my smile. I had a former dentist who created crowns that weren't properly fitted to my gum line. This caused extensive decay I was unaware of. He almost needed to throw a road cone down there was so much work to do! But he was able to do the best job I believe was possible and i'm happy with the results. For this alone I would recommend CDIC. While I continue to live in the OC, I will keep going here.... read more

I love this place. I went here initially with quit a few issues with my teeth. One by one, Dr. Trinh took care of all the issues. Now it's just maintenance every 6 months.
