I don't get a ton of items dry cleaned but whenever I go here. They open as early as 7 am and stay open till 7 pm making it easy with a busy schedule. Pricing is more reasonable than some other cleaners I've visited nearby with similar quality. read more

This is the second time today that I was met by this very impolite and discourteous attendant at CD One Price Cleaners at 2812 S 17th Ave Unit B, Broadview, IL 60155. I have been a longtime customer at their Chicago Madison Street location. Their Chicago Madison Street staff are the best: very delightful to talk to and pleasant. I moved to the west suburbs and happy to see a CD One Price Cleaners in Broadview. Unfortunately, the attendant has a horrible attitude. It takes one apple to spoil the bunch. I have been going to this dry cleaners since they opened they even know me by name. Customer service means everything to me and if I don't get treated right where I'm spending my money I simply take my business elsewhere. I went to put two suits and my work uniforms in this cleaners they told me that the credit card machine was down and they were only accepting cash. I informed The young lady at the counter that I did not have cash I would just pay for the clothes when I pick them up. She then went on to tell me that you had to pay for the clothes upon drop off You could not leave your clothes without paying for them. I went on to say but your credit card machine is down so why should I be hindered or inconvenienced because your equipment is not working and furthermore I've been coming to this dry cleaners for years. It's not like I'm not coming back to retrieve my garments to dress suits and my work uniforms why can't I leave them and pay for them upon pickup? The clerk was very inconsiderate very unprofessional and her tone and language was out of control I could not believe the way she was talking to me a loyal customer of this business for years. So I asked her once again so I can't leave my clothes and pay for them when I pick them up and her answer was absolutely not That's our policy and I'm sticking to it. Now I'm not saying this is what happened but I do know that some merchants shut their machine down for a period of time and go straight cash to save on the fees that the credit card third company is charging the business. Like I said I would like to think the machine was down legitimately but my point is as a loyal customer since the business was open why wouldn't they take my clothes and let me pay upon pickup. Once again customer service means everything to me so I will not and have not returned to that place of business. There is a great dry cleaners in hillside Illinois on Wolf road they do an awesome job of dry cleaning quick service and treats me with respect and a smile that goes a long way. So CD1 Broadview cleaners I will not return neither will my family neither will some of my friends who who I have explained this horrible act of customer service to them they have stopped going there also. This entire establishment is a joke. To make a long story short, the owner, Monica, has accused me of having another patron's clothing based off of "video evidence". After being repeatedly phoned and texted about this order that I supposedly have for 2-3 days straight, I finally had the time to look through the clothing only to find out that I do not have any clothing other than my own. After informing CD One Price - Broadview that I do not have anyone else's clothing, the owner is accusing me of lying and tried to withhold my clothing until I returned the other patron's clothing. Luckily, a very kind patron understood my frustration and sought to find a peaceful resolution. She able to intervene and talk some sense into Monica so that she would allow her employees to return my clothing to me. This entire ordeal took over an hour of valuable time. Monica is extremely ignorant, immature, and incompetent. Her accusations are unfounded and baseless. I even asked if she had checked with any other patrons and she admitted that she hadn't because she had "video evidence" of me grabbing 3 grouped items and I was only supposed to be picking up 2 grouped items. Lol. At least do your due diligence before you accuse me of lying. I think that I know the difference between my clothes and someone else's clothes. Before I checked to see if I even had anyone else's order, the owner asked if I would drop off the clothes because there was no manager at the store available to pick the order up. I dropped a garment off at the cleaners on Friday, paid in advance and received a receipt for my transaction. Yesterday I picked up my items and a lady at the counter stated I didn't pay or my transaction didn't go through. I provided her with proof of purchase and a cleared transaction from the bank account. Then she stated she would be able to release my items without a secondary payment. Now I'm inconvenienced with trying to reverse a second transaction. The concern I have is not the system error, but the automatic assumption my transaction wasn't completed when showing both a receipt and banking transaction. She never further research if the problem was on her end. She stated that I needed to check with my bank, when clearly my bank was not the issue. I don't believe i would have received such treatment had I been of a different race. As a black woman, It is unfortunate these stereotypes often occur and is unacceptable any workplace. read more

Several bad experiences. CD One Price Cleaners gave my clothes to another customer and when I arrived to pick the items up, I was told that I already picked my clothes up. The manager told me to call back the next day so she could look at the cameras to verify if I picked my items up. I called back the next day, and once again was told to call back. Why was the manager telling me to call back as she should have been contacting me and following up on the issue that they caused by giving my clothes away. Luckily, another customer finally called me to say that they had my clothes for a couple of days and would return them back to the business. Another visit, I went to pick up my comforter and gave them my paid receipt. They informed me that the system did not have my comforter logged and asked me to help them find the comforter by pointing it out. They stated it was a good thing that I had my receipt because there were no record in the business system. Most recent visit, I was told that my credit card payment did not go thru. I asked if the payment did not go thru, why was I issued a paid receipt. The girl told me that she did not realize that my payment did not go thru until I left the business. I logged into my bank account and showed the girl that the payment posted to my account but she was persistent in telling me that I had to pay again because the payment was not showing up on their books. The girl had a nasty and unprofessional attitude and did nothing to try to assist me, although I showed her the transaction showing the payment posted to my account. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me to come back the next day. I asked her to write the manager name and the business phone number down which she was refusing to do. I asked the girl where was the customer service and why she was not assisting me. They need a new and improved system. Do not I repeat do not use this cleaners for alterations. I recently brought in 4 Ralph Lauren T-Shirts that needed alterations because they were too long. I pinned them to be cut below my belt line mid thigh length as originally they came to almost my knees. At $15 a piece I figured they would get this right. Unfortunately, the seamstress, whoever that is cut them to my belt line instead so now the shirts fit on me like a halter top!!!! I called to speak with a manager on it the day I picked them up and was to that the manager would be in first thing in the morning so I waited and called the next morning someone picked up the phone and set it down as all I could here was talking in the background. I decided to go up there since it is 3 minutes from my house about 7:15am CST. When I got there and asked to speak to a manager the lady that I spoke to recognized me and went to inform the manager. She then returns to me and tells me that she is in production and couldn't speak to me, all the while I see her walking back and forth in the back in what the associate called production whatever that means!!!!! As someone that works in service I expect more for the money I am spending. She didn't have the decency to speak with me for 2-3 minutes on my issue. I was then told that another manager would be available at 2pm to speak with me so now I have to go back to the store in order to get a resolution on this. The shirts themselves are a total of about $220 I am not worried about the cost of the shirts at this point, the $60 I paid that now makes them unwearable and the terrible service is the issue. Again, please do not give your business to this organization especially if you value your clothing. At one point this was my favorite cleaners. I'd bring my clothes to this location bi weekly spending approximately $60 to $80. The workers are helpful. However on several occasions I've noticed my clothes weren't even cleaned or looked worse than prior to bringing in. I take pride in my clothes and have spent money with dry cleaning trying to keep them nice. My pants were destroyed, they were pink prior to bringing them in ...at pick up they were dingy white...they paid a reduced cost for the mistake...and after that I continued as a customer (my mistake). After picking up.my black jacket.....it's now a dingy grayish black. The manager offered me a credit of $15 which is totally unacceptable and no apology, just excuses. The reason given....we wash your clothes....if you w Oant them dry cleaned...you have to tell us. Ummm maybe I'm wrong...but the reason why I brought them to the dry cleaners was to have my clothes dry cleaned. She then stated we follow what's on the label. It stated wash or dry clean....hence I brought it to the cleaners....if I wanted it washed I would have done this myself. Also the jacket wasn't even pressed correctly. Uggggg. LOST A LONG TERM CUSTOMER... I stopped going to this location, it used to have a great staff now they are so rude!! Even my 90 yr old mother who suggested this location years ago said she came in a couple hours early to pick her garments.. the response she received from a young woman was well they are ready but I probably should not give them to you.. If they are ready why could she not retrieve them? My story is after years and thousands spent at this location and I mean thousands I use to have multiple online clothing stores and would bring my items here before cleaning every week. Having a bill of 125 or more was not unusual. So getting to what happened I came in 2 months ago to pick up my items. I was told by the manager and a young girl that I never paid for my items. How could that be you pay in advance. The manager said well you are always in a hurry you probably put the card in too fast and just left. Regardless it supposed to be in their system.. neither of them could find it. The manager asked for my card that I used for the transaction. I replied well I am not sure if I used my debit or one of my credit cards. She said well until you find out or give me a receipt you cant have your items. So after 7 years coming here I have to find proof that I paid and I am treated like a criminal. I paid and I am sure it was for the 2nd time and will NEVER come back to this location ever again.. On February 15,2020 I took 2 dress shirts to dry clean one white and one light blue. I returned to pick them up two days later and took both home. Before putting them away I noticed hair and lint on them. Like everyone that has a negative review here about similar issues with CD One this is not an exception. SEE PICTURES! I returned the shirts a couple days later and pointed out all the hair and lint on both shirts to the CD One associate. She proceeded to begin taking the lint and hair off with a lint roller. I asked her not to use a lint roller on these shirts as the lint roller disturbs the fibers and make shirts appear older than they are. She called a manager over and the manager agreed that the shirts would be redone. Notice manager never said anything other than "we will re-do". Notice lint rollers are openly used and in abundance at the store. I return to pick up the two shirt the next day and the same situation lint and hair on both. Not the same as the first time but enough to be noticed. To make me really upset they used lint rollers on the shirts because they looked dismal and wrinkled not crisp and fresh. Rosie (manager) was their and at first she played the ignorance game, she could not see anything on the shirts. I pointed out the lint and hair on the outside and on the inside. Well her eyes finally seen what everyone else saw. She said "we do a huge volume according to CD One standards" and "this is the best we can do plus we do not do the inside." I have no idea what she meant by those two comments. She snapped pictures and said "I have other customers waiting take your shirts CD One corporate will be in touch". CD One Corporate tried to contact me once, after I had to reach out to them 3 times before they replied. Monica (Broadview spokesperson) contacted me and asked about the situation. I sent her pictures and video of the two dress shirts. She stated that she would contact me after reviewing the video and pictures which she should already have based on Rosie snapping her own pictures? Monica did get back to me and made the whole situation comical and an embarrassment for herself and CD One. She said via a phone conversation "Oh I thought it was more lint and hair than what you made it out to be" and "the lint and hair is coming from you or a jacket you may have worn over them.'' I did not know if I should laugh or cry. Finally, I said Monica I just lost 2 very nice shirts that are over $150 both can you just help me with at minimum half so I can replace them? "NO, she replied" she asked me to bring them back a third time so she can feel them I guess. I asked her can we meet at a local Dry Cleaners so they can explain to you what happened here and why these shirts a ruined? Her reply " NO, they just want your business". Needless to say, Monica was no help either and made me laugh and has turned this into a very funny conversation when I share with friends. However, I must say she was very kind and offered $4.00 credit and a free lint roller. I did a brief research on CD One, and found some very interesting situations about them. I ask myself, does the owner of CD One Broadview, IL get his thousand-dollar suits dry cleaned there? Folks do your own research and calculate your savings versus a real dry cleaner. Stopped in because I couldn't remember if I'd left anything here recently. They are super convenient because they just look you up by your phone number and since you pay at drop off, it's very convenient to walk in, grab your stuff and go. I entrusted them with my mother-in-laws hand made quilt that has been in our possession since she passed away 3 years ago. They did a great job and were gentle as she sewed some of the designs by hand with a standard needle. What I really like about this place is that they appear to hire quite a few kids from the surrounding community. The importance of TEACHING young people how to work and giving them the opportunity to enter the job market and earn money for the things they need and want can't be over stated. read more

I have been a loyal customer for years. However, I just picked up my clothes and yet again a ruined shirt. There's brown stains all over it. This is the second shirt in one month. The first one was burned. Thanks for your response. I did call two days ago and still awaiting a call Update: 7/24/20. After dropping off both shirts last week and waiting for a call back from a manager, I went in to see what was going on. No call back. Instead, they searched for the shirts. One was able to be corrected but the other one not. Instead, I was told the stains were done by me. This woman behind the counter was perhaps the rudest person I've dealt with in a retail environment and had not even seen the shirt when I brought it in so unsure how she could even insinuate that I was lying. I took my pants in to be shortened, one week later I picked them up and go home and try them on and they did not shorten my pants. Took one week for them to do it, which they did not do. I brought my pants back. The manager didn't want to hear anything she handed me my money back and said thank you and walked away. I bring my work clothes in every week cost me $80 a week I give them, they don't even offer a discount they just said here's your money back; lousy business. If I could give this place zero stars I would! When this location first opened I really liked them, but sadly like many businesses once they feel like they have your business they don't have to continue doing what they did originally to keep it. The last few times I went in, the young lady at the desk acted as if I were bothering her by dropping my cleaning off, they didn't use heavy starch like I asked even though it was on the receipt. But the straw that broke the camels back was when I dropped off 5 pairs of slacks (along with several other items- my bill this time was close to $60) yes,they counted 5 pairs of slacks when I picked up my clothes, but Tuesday of the following week as I'm getting ready for work I realize one of the pants isn't mine. I think ok no big deal... I'll just take these back, the person that had my pants would return them and all would be well....NOT so much! I went back and forth to the store made several phone calls, the mgr never returned my calls despite saying she would,and my pants never showed up. It wouldn't have been such a big deal if I hadn't been lied to several times and insulted by the manager. You see, I can't just buy pants off the rack and wear them, I have to have my pants altered, and because of this I invest in quality items. Here in lies the problem and why I'll never spend another penny at this CD one price location...after waiting more than 2 weeks for my pants I finally asked to be reimbursed $100 which is actually what I paid for them, before having them altered. Mind you...not once did I get an apology, only attitude as if I were trying to pull something over on them by asking that they pay me for my pants,but manager actually tried to deduct for depreciation and tell me that I could go buy a less expensive pair and they would tailor them for me! Are you kidding?!!? I've already deducted considering- A). I've been looking for another pair like that for a few months and haven't been able to find any, but B) I've been using the same tailor for over 10 yrs,and if you've ever needed something altered then you know that you can't just have anyone tailor your stuff... So I will not be returning....it's not so much about the pants, I get that mistakes happen and cleaners loose clothes all the time,but it's the disrespect I was shown after asking them to right their wrong AFTER I'd spent over $1,000 doing business with them. A simple "I'm sorry, I see that you've been doing business with us for a while. What can I do to make this better" in the beginning would have diffused this. Went to this location to have a sweater cleaned and have lint removed. When I returned to pick it up, the sweater still had lint on it as if I never brought it there. It seemed as if they never touched it. When I complained the young lady that answered the phone screamed at me. She said well what do you want us to do. I'll clean it again. Horrible experience at this cleaners. I took two items in recently, one jacket to have a pocket repaired and cleaned ($15) and they did not follow directions. They sewed the pocket but did not attach it back to the jacket. I also had a bridesmaid dress taken up ($25), I went in and was measured and told the woman who measured me that I thought it would still be too long. I get the dress home and low and behold the dress is still TOO LONG, I can walk on it. I took the dress in today and explained that it was not done to my satisfaction. The manager was rude and said I would just have to pay for it again and she was "sure" that the woman who measured me thought it was right. They did not offer any compromise/solution only that I pay AGAIN for the items to be redone. NO THANKS! I told her I shouldn't have to pay again if it wasn't done to my liking and the "manager" walked away while I was talking. She was rude and unprofessional. This was the worst experience at a cleaners ever. I do not recommend this location as I now have to find a better quality cleaners who will actually get the job done. In the past this place was ok. Don't know what happened the last month but they are horrible. I dropped off large bag of laundry (in their custom bag and verified with my phone number), and I received back 4 bags of someone else's laundry. I have been calling all week, messages and 2 live people and no manager has spoken to me and I still don't have my laundry back. One girl told me lots of people's laundry was all mixed up. Excellent! Rosie was super-helpful, friendly and the service is outstanding. My suits were very clean and pressed very nicely! I had gone to another dry-cleaners closer to my house (Mr. Snappy?) that was closed in the middle of the day, with no business hours posted and looked dirty. I then proceeded to CD One Price and the store was open for business, very clean and orderly and Rosie and the staff were simply outstanding.
