Now the key stopped turning all together. The tech came out to look at it and claims the post office replaced their lock so that affected my lock ?? Im supposed to have realized this and known I have to push on the door itself then the key will work. ? I was billed another 65 and was told it was because of user error ?? I was opening a lock not reformatting a computer. Then I called to complain the tech yelled at me hung up on me and told me to call the office. I called Joe at PBC Locksmith, and he said he could be there in a half hour! He showed up just on time, was super friendly and really knowledgeable! The deadbolt was completely broken so he took that out and replaced it, and was able to just rekey the bottom lock. Im a licensed locksmith in Nebraska, so I went ahead and Ordered a replacement and when it got here I set off on the journey to re-key the new cylinder to the old key. Got 98% through the process but got stuck getting the retainer bearing back into the bearing race in the cylinder which holds the plug with the wafers in, and without having my tools with me, i couldnt for the life of me get the bearing and spring back in. I ended up changing the bottom lock as well as the top lock. I wanted a good quality lock. He installed the same lock that he uses at his property. Saving money is not number one when looking for good security. Then I paid him to fix the sliding glass doors. The owner also helped me with hurricane shutters that would not close. He explained that shaking them and moving slowly while holding the upper and lower part of the accordion shutter works best. The prices were reasonable and the value for service received was good. I will definitely use Angel Locksmith every time I need a locksmith now.
