Since 2016, we had used a local HVAC company (the Brothers) that originally installed our system and provided annual maintenance through a service plan and would find that we always needed a new part or thermostat or upgrade when they would come out for a "tune-up" more often than not. When we experienced a refrigerant leak in the outside condenser, we were told that the system could not be repaired and that we needed to replace the entire HVAC system. Before making that decision, we decided to get a second opinion from Cubb-Cooling -- and we are very thankful we did. I called Cubb-Cooling at 4:45 p.m., and Ben Sr. told me he would come out first thing the next morning to evaluate the system. True to his word, Ben Sr. arrived at 7:00 a.m. and had our HVAC system back up and running within about 20 minutes. Ben Sr. was upfront and honest, explaining that if the repair did not hold, he would apply the repair cost toward a new system within two weeks. Fast forward 16 months, and the repair is still holding strong with no issues. We have since had both Ben Sr. and Ben Jr. come out to inspect the system on two occasions, and while they have been honest that the unit will eventually need to be replaced due to its age and the demands of the Central Florida climate, there has never been any pressure to purchase a new system or pay for unnecessary services/parts/upgrades. Cubb-Cooling is a small, family-owned business that truly values honesty, professionalism, and customer care. Their knowledge, responsiveness, and integrity are exactly what you want when dealing with an HVAC company. When the time comes for your HVAC needs, be sure to call Cubb-Cooling. I called the next day and was told the service request would be resubmitted and I would receive an email with new service date. I followed the next week as no email was received by me. I was told my concern would be forwarded to the scheduling department. The two following weeks I called and left messages as no one answered the phone. Still no response or email with the scheduling of repair for 5 damaged screens from Milton hurricane. I selected this company to do the rescreening of my pool enclosure and lanai based on their 5 year warranty. The warranty is worthless if they will not respond to my service requests.
