Is their an option for more stars? I reached out to another company of which I personally know the owner and never got a call back so I stopped in one day and met Brady from Magic Overhead Door and he stopped everything he was doing and spent as much time as needed with me to educate me on levels of garage doors, options with door motors and more. The decision was simple and I made a choice to contract with Brady and this company. The day the techs came to install the door they were on time, careful, attentive to details and pointed out a few "issues" that they said they would make right. A different tech came out a day or so later and correct the minor issues and went through the entire system from top to bottom to ensure 100% satisfaction. The entire experience was spot on 101% from start to finish. One of the absolute best vendors we have dealt with in a while. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Always respond promptly and with necessary parts and tools. Work always completed in short time and cost is very reasonable. I bought a multiplex that the seller paid Magic Overhead Door, 700 N. Beach St. Daytona Beach, $1891.00 In Advance for a new garage door. After realtors, owners past/present called, finally on 8-12-21 they installed it. Framing on top does not meet edges, or match original header width. The preexisting 1"x4" trim was cast into the yd. so side gasket doesn't cover the door edge. They didn't call me, as agreed, instead Gave my garage door keys to someone in my multiplex. Who gives keys to some random person not the owner? I was civil & persistent. The 2 gals on the phone were great. DJ the mgr was nervous & angry, refused to discuss install probs, said I'd have to pay a svc. call & $47 for new keys, wldnt let me tlk to a supervisor & hung up on me. Brady Ruck, the owner, was hit under the collar from the get go & also hung up on me. So, $1891.00 "Magic" Overhead Door looks laughably stooopid, does not do what doors are for, I'm locked out of my garage, & some guy has my keys. read more

Spring broke on our double door and we could not open the door due to weight. Both cars were stuck in the garage. Called Magic about 1:00 PM and they came over at 3:30 PM and temporarily fixed the spring. They ordered the new springs, showed up at the appointment time, fixed the door quickly at the agreed price. Will definitely use them again. read more

This would have been a 5 star review. The initial service call went well, and made no complaint about the difference in the price. This is a letter I sent to the company that explains what happened after the first repair. Date: March 31, 2020 To: Magic Overhead Door Co 700 N Beach St Daytona Beach, FL 32114 From: Charlie Cummings I had a broken spring so I called Magic Overhead door co after calling a few places and reading reviews. The person who I spoke with told me it would be $250.00 parts and labor, and I arranged to have the repair done. The service guy replaced the springs, checked the drums and cables and said everything was in good shape. He also said he lubricated the hinges. The door seemed to operate well. The service guy said he was emailing me an invoice right then. I said I wanted to pay him cash so he said it was $259.00. I was a bit surprised and he said "they just changed it. So I paid the $259.00 and gave him a $20 tip. A few days later the wheel on the right bottom came off the track, put the wheel back on track and it worked for a few more days and it came off again. I called you back and the service guy came out (I was not home). The door is working properly as of today. I received an email that was supposed to have a invoice attached but there was no attachment. I just thought it was a formality because I wasn't expecting a bill for your guy to come fix my door when it was supposed to be in good operating order. I received a phone call snd I was told the bill was $79.00. I explained to the the person that I didn't get the invoice and that I was surprised that I have to pay for for that service call. They sent me another email(twice) no attachment. I don't have an explanation of what he did to rectify the problem but I feel he had to adjust something with the spring install or if it was something else which should have been done the first call. I do home repair and service calls to condos and homes. I have had call backs many times and do not bill my customers for something related to that call. I have been in business 20 years and all my work is by referrals. Here is your check for $79.00. I probably wont be calling overhead door again or referring you to anyone. Absolutely horrible customer service. Scheduled an appointment one week earlier for the following Thursday. (They set the day and time). I called on Thursday morning to confirm and they informed me they had moved the appointment to the following day at noon. No phone call to ask me if that would work for me, or that they had even moved it. His exact words were "I am just so overwhelmed and busy". When I called back several hours later to cancel, the same man answered so he apparently was not overwhelmed with making sales calls. Didn't seem to care I was cancelling. Very unreliable and unprofessional read more

They also lubricated both the single door, and also my double garage door right next to it, so they are all operating quietly and efficiently now. I called and at first I asked for storm shutters, however, the man I spoke with thought a high impact window would serve my needs better. Measurements were taken, the permits obtained and the window ordered with an estimate of 2 months, or possibly more, to get the project done. I am so happy to report that exactly 2 months later Jeff and Jay showed up and it was a real pleasure working with them. The installation took less than a day and because I named my new quiet/safe room "Heaven," you can guess I am very delighted with the outcome. They have been around a long time and definitely the best in the area! A real delight working with all to achieve exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended! I can't say enough good things about Magic Overhead Doors. My garage door spring broke and i could not close the door. I'm a senior citizen and also a widow. Other companies I've hired have taken advantage of this. But NOT Magic Overhead Door. I called them at 8:00 am and was so upset. The young lady who answered the phone reassured me, asked if i could hold for a moment. She got back on the phone and told me a team would make me their first stop. The technicians were just as reassuring. They fixed my door better than it was before the spring broke. They replaced cables, ball bearing assembly, spring, shirred up the top where my 16 year old had tried to do chin ups and bent the top and so much more. It was all fixed by 10:30 am. All this for LESS than what i had been quoted by another company that was on home advisor for just replacing the spring!!! I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND EVERYONE to this company. Also, their customer service is impeccable!! Friendly - home town service that is only there to help you get things fixed for you at a low cost. read more

I see one other review on Yelp at this point with one star for poor service. My experience is the exact opposite. I called on Monday afternoon and asked what kind of openers they sold. The 2 they recommended for me when I stated what I wanted were a bit pricey. I did some looking online and saw what the price was of just the opener and read the reviews and information on the opener and decided to go for the better (more $) one. I called back an hour or so later and Wednesday afternoon they installed it. There was a change in installation time. The initially said between 3-4 but called Wednesday and said 1-3. Installation is professional and other than they dropped a few staples on the floor they didn't clean up I have no complaints. read more

Solid company, solid product. After getting an estimate from 3 other companies, magic overhead was the best priced and had the most solid product. They are were prompt! Their sales guys knew and went over every option, considerations, and warrenty question, to the T. From sales to install, these guys were simply the best, professional, attentive, they took their time on the install, and it is beautiful. I also have done a lot of research on, garage door doors, their hardware, steel grade and gauge, insulation, hurricane rating, operators, weight ratings, ect, ect and HASS is SOLID. Magic overhead door offers both HASS doors and liftmaster operators, and both are sturdy, reliable products. Thanks again guys :) read more

Couldn't be happier with the whole process. We got estimates from 3 different companies and chose Magic because the sales associate was so knowledgeable and patient with my questions. Gave a small deposit and when our door was ready they called to schedule installation. Installation techs arrived on time and were extremely polite and respectful, and clearly experts at what they do. Hauled away the old door, cleaned up after themselves and moved things back where they were in my garage. Magic arranged for the county inspection which passed this morning. Absolutely thrilled with the new door, new opener, and the entire experience. Thank you!! read more

I have used them several times over the years and they always manage to provide prompt same day service when my garage door breaks. Today I had a broken spring, called in the morning and DJ was here at the appointed time. DJ did a fantastic job, very professional, knowledgable and friendly. He explained everything and also checked and adjusted the entire door and opener system. Door works better and is quieter than before it broke. My door broke and they came out in less than 24 hours to repair it. The door and hardware were over 30 years old. It now works like it is brand new. They did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to anyone needed garage door installation or repair. read more
