    I don't even know where to begin with the poor experience I have had with APS Security in Fire in…read moreDaytona Beach but I will try my best to let you know about my experience and save yourself the hassle. I originally chose to go with APS because they are a local company that has been around a while, had good reviews, and Robert Harrison sounded like he knew what he was talking about, however he did not. Originally they talked me into a Turing NVR system and said it was the only thing they were installing and it was the best and newest NVR out there. First problem comes on installation day, they do not show up. When I call, I find out that Robert never put me on the schedule so the day I took off work for the install was for nothing. Next, they came to install the system and showed up an hour late because again Robert got the time wrong. After the system was installed we had numerous issues with the new Turing system. 1. Could not download clips and share them. 2. Downloaded clips skip ever 2 seconds. 3. No website to view live cameras after I was told there was a website you could view them on 4. Turing app is terrible and buggy. After receiving my feedback on the new Turing system, Robert and the APS team agreed that the Turing system was not all they thought it was and offered to give me a refund or install a new Hikvision system. So apparently, they just started installing these Turing systems and had previously been installing Hikvision but Robert made it sound like Turing NVRs were all they install and had been installing, FALSE! So even after all of my problems with APS so far, I reluctantly chose to let them install a new Hikvision NVR and cameras, but I picked out the model of the cameras AND NVR as I did not trust them to do so...Next, the new Hikvision NVR was installed. They had to send techs out a couple of times to fix issues such as motion detection and problems with live play on the app but eventually got it fixed somewhat. They were not able to set up line crossing detection or alerts, basically all they do is plug it in and make sure the app works. I had to go on YouTube and figure out how to do the rest myself! So here it is a few months later and I am having another issue, the monitor that is hooked to the NVR with an HDMI cable goes black after a day. It will only come on when you restart the NVR. They sent a new tech, John, to see if he could fix it. I told them before they sent him out to have him call Hikvision to see what could be causing this. John showed up and of course was not given the message and had not called Hikvision, so I sat with him 30 minutes while he waited on hold for them only to be told we need a new NVR. WHAT? Now that I have all my settings how I want them and alerts set up, I have to get another NVR??? Also, while he was "working" on my NVR he said it didn't have "enable NTP" set up which he claimed the last tech missed so he enabled it and put in some weird IP address which he said would ensure my time was always right. Well, as soon as he left, my time went to an hour behind. Typical for this company; no one knows what they are doing! So here it is Friday, October 14th, the install day for my new NVR. They were supposed to be here from 12pm-2pm. I called at 12:15pm to see where Darryl was and was told they would call him to get and ETA and then call me back. No call of course so I call back at 1:30pm and tell them I haven't heard from Darryl. They put me on hold and come back and tell me Darryl is driving to UPS to see if my NVR is in. WHAT?!? My NVR isn't even in?? Why didn't you confirm that this morning and let me know? This company is a complete joke. I wish I would have never used them! Do yourself a favor and save yourself countless hassle by going elsewhere. UPDATE: tech showed up at 2:33pm and installed new NVR. We will see if I still have the same issue after a few days goes by.

I just got shocked having to unplug it from the wall and just found out that I have a carbon monoxide sensor which was the problem and guess what? There's nothing gas or propane in the house. Absolutely nothing that would even create carbon monoxide. So that's another mystery as to why we have that. We are considering writing reviews for our 40 million unique monthly visitors. I think it is truly a shame that the other person on here put up a Legit One star review but it appears until they did - It didn't get it resolved. It shouldn't come to this. This is not the first time and from now on? I'm writing reviews on all these companies. And I encourage others to do the same. As APS would have to admit, my alarm has been going off all night and I haven't had any sleep and I'm supposed to film today on camera. That Has to be canceled now and no one has had a wink of sleep. This is unacceptable. ps. we also ask them to fix a perimeter system last year that has almost never worked. Months later we still have no answer to why it is still broken and not working but this is so usual with APS. Before this. I managed an account for a home one county north of us. We were waiting months and months for the inside vacuum system to arrive. When it did they didn't deliver and somehow it became my job to go down another county to pick it up at their office. It was in a bad neighborhood. There was a homeless man outside asking me for money grabbing my arm and you actually had to hit a buzzer for them to let you in. thanks I'm guessing because of the bad neighborhood. Overall I do not recommend. That would be putting it mildly

    First tech that came was totally awesome he diagnosed the issue with my dryer, ordered parts, the…read moresecond tech came with the part he was nice as well, but after he left it worked just once then after that I had to put it on 60 minutes more than once depending on what I was drying just to get them dry. That does nothing for my electric bill. The third tech that came hang it up last straw he was useless, did nothing and now my dryer does not work at all. Would I recommend this company NO, only way would be if the first tech and second were the only ones working there. Mona no thank you no need to discuss anything with you. The second tech that you sent to my home to install all the parts did and when he went to turn on my machine it would not work, so he told my husband he had to take out all the new parts and put in the old parts to get it to run again. So common sense tells you how he left my machine with old parts and he kept the new ones. Before he came my dryer ran, I just had to dry the clothes for a long time which is not what a dryer is supposed to do not at 60 minutes each time. I called again your company, now after your third tech came to my home my dryer does not work at all, and you there is a burnt smell when it runs, your second tech did something that burnt it up because the third tech did nothing but stand there and look at it, but to be fair after the second tech it was failing now after your third tech it completely failed. Three attempts that's giving this company 3 chances no more chances here, we told your techs we had an issue no need to talk to you. Your attempt to talk to me is to try to make your company look good, which it is not. Like I said one star rating is way too good for this company. I use my dryer everyday, its mine but I am stupid right? The customer knows nothing about their own appliances how they work right? Only some tech or in my case techs that I have never seen before or they have never worked or seen my equipment they know as they are always right thats a bunch of bull you know what

    Xfinity stolen phone #…read more Our community provides tv service through Xfinity. We have that service and added internet & our family's mobile plan - 4 phones. On August 3, 2025 at approximately 5 am we were hacked. Our modem was taken over so we had no access to internet. All of our cellphones were deactivated. So we had no ability to contact anyone as we gave up our landline some time ago. The hacker added two names to our account and changed the managing phone and email to a number and email that are not ours. We had to leave our house and find another location with a phone and internet access so that we could call Xfinity. We waited for about 30 minutes before an agent picked up our call. He was able to see that our WiFi modem name and password had been changed and 3 phones had been deactivated. The agent restored service to the modem and the 3 phones, then researched my phone number. It was no longer in our account at all. It had been transferred to another Xfinity customer, MT, on a Samsung phone but a different model than mine. I have had my phone number for more than 20 years and I want it back. We were told that it was possible to pull the number back by shutting off service to that other account but a Fraud investigation had to happen first. It was opened and we were told we would hear from Xfinity Fraud department in the next 24 hours. We have a case number that has been open since 8/3/2025 at 6:30pm. The Fraud Dept has never contacted us once. We've called multiple times & they tell us the same story. My phone number is a second verification for many of our accounts. While waiting for Xfinity to get my number back, the hacker changed access our bank account, moved our savings to our checking account and attempted to wire transfer our money out. Being at the bank first thing, I stopped that. Xfinity has left us exposed, when they could have fixed it the day the hack occurred. Xfinity Mobile Fraud Dept, if you exist & are seeing this, contact me.

I cancelled them today because they raised my rate from $70/mth. to $112.98/mth. Oh, they were willing to back it out but every 6 months they are doing this now. I asked them for a non-promotional rate and they gave me a rate of $83/mth. But, I had to accept a Peacock streaming box that was free for 90 days and then it would be $7.99/ mth. unless I cancelled it and sent it back to them. Then I got a new bill, $112.98. I called and got a real person in Pakistan that explained to me that their billing cycle was the reason for the larger amount than had been agreed to by me. He said they would lower my bill to $60.78 in the next cycle. I said, so, you are taking my money and then giving it back in the form of a credit and he said yes. This morning when I started my early workday, I had no internet- There were no outage reported so I went back to the "chatbot". I was told that I would be connected to someone to resolve this and I almost was but, I had to put my CC in and pay $1.00 in order to be connected to another Pakistani person who told me it must be a local outage as my account was in order- so, you got it- Groundhog Day- Yep, back to the chatbot who told me there was no local outages, even though I was a local outage, apparently I was not recognized as an outage. Hence, my cancellation. There are many new services for internet providers available and you need not feel trapped by Xfinity- There practices are right out of a boiler room to coerce you to stay with them. Dump them and life already feels better here, it can be that way for you too. Good Luck!
