This review is for Cockpit in Court. I love seeing shows here. The theatre is intimate (read: small) but that just means there isn't a bad seat in the house. I have friends that frequently perform or direct these shows and it is so much fun to support our local talent. Sign up online to receive notifications of upcoming performances. Our son is involved with ccbc's drama program: on stage and behind the scenes as a tech. We support his efforts and contributions to the program by attending productions he's involved with. "Argonautika" was the latest: a contemporary and fun take on Jason and the Argonauts of Greek mythology. Beware of Hercules, though. He may trigger some highly sensitive folk as a "toxic male,"LOL, he's not. Great production. read more

Please work or re train ALL phone operators!!!! A lot of the representatives who pick up the phone are too aggressive and rude. We are students we just need help and having someone on the other line acting like it's a problem to call is disheartening. Isn't their job to pick up the phone the direct us student to the right department? And every time it seems like it's a bother. read more

I DO NOT ATTEND CCBC I ONLY USE THIS LOCATION FOR PROCTOR SERVICES I attend college online & sometimes am required to take a proctored exam. I cringe every time I read a syllabus that states the exams are proctored. Ugh, I cringe because I know I'll have to be subjected to the bad attitudes & disorganization that is the Essex Testing Center at CCBC . There are a few people I have encountered there that seem like they got it together & are somewhat professional but mostly, I get someone who is overworked, overtired, & not in the mood to be helpful. They charge $35 for nonstudents seeking proctoring services. This campus has a large parking lot & even though it always seems full, I am able to find a spot near the building I need. read more

My review is for the youth programs in the Continuing Ed department. I love the breadth of topics offered. I was looking for a theater program for my elementary aged gleek and was really excited to see that CCBC has a whole theater curriculum. I love that the classes are affordable and the schedules flexible. I found a couple of classes that work well with our schedules. She is absolutely thriving in them. My only complaint, which really isn't the schools problem or fault is that I live in the city so getting there is a pain in my rear! The instructor for my daughter's class is sweet as pie, but also quick to command control of the class when the kids get a little rambunctious. I can't wait to see their final production. I'm also looking forward to signing her up for more classes there. The campus has ample parking (we're there on off hours) and is truly beautiful. I feel safe there when walking back to my car in the dark. I see lots of college age students and they seem friendly and I often see them sitting together and talking - which is refreshing to see in this digital age. As a city resident, I truly wish we had this program in BCCC. read more

I am really enjoying my time at CCBC. Most of the staff is great. As long as you're good at taking initiative, you'll do well here. Plenty of parking, but get there early! Advisors are not very helpful. :( read more

I really love this school. My daughter will be starting school this summer for the Parallel Program. The process for enrollment was awesome. We went the day before the cut off to enroll for summer classes. I just knew we were going to be there for hours. To my surprise the process was so fast and easy. Everyone I encountered was so pleasant. I can't wait until she start. Happy Parent. read more

As a returning student after some years off alot of things have changed everything is computerized, which I understand, however the staff could clearly see my bewildered look as I tried to get help selecting my classes. They automatically thought that I knew I had to sign in,click this and that etc.. They need to improve their customer service skills asap!!! read more

These people (at the Essex Campus) canceled a class my Sons were looking forward to attending 2 days before it started. THEN when I tried to get my refund, they claim that it will take 2 weeks. Funny it only took 1 afternoon for them to take my money. I don't know what kind of scam they are running, but I would NEVER patronize them again. I took some post grad courses here. Coming from Baltimore, it kind of feels like it's in the middle of nowhere but I was pleasantly surprised by what this campus had to offer. It's spacious inside and outside and you can always find a quiet area to study in. The A/C kind of stinks and they probably just need to clean their vents. It is pretty chilled and I always found a spot to park near the building. Good class hours and staff is helpful. read more

I went to their testing center to test out for a course so that I can skip one course and take the next one. That was the first and last time I went there. Two of the female staffs were pessimistic about me passing the test. I never asked them for anything, they just think its okay to interfere in students' success. They were telling me that people usually fail the test that I came to do. I was overwhelmed because I never heard such things happen in a testing center before. In other words, they letting me know that there is a high possibility that I may also fail the test. The second lady even asked me if I want to go and study more and return for the test later that day. I reported the incident but did not get a feedback on what was done about the matter. The school have many competent instructors and some incompetent ones that cannot do anything on their own without consulting a textbook. I think that some staffs at the student service center are not happy with their job because they hardly smile. Even if you greet and smile at them, they may not respond. read more

People working here are worthless sometimes. My scheduled exams have been made for the wrong test before , and not because of my part . Everyone here has an attitude for the most part . I would much rather attend Dundalk campus. Amazing science professors there and the atmosphere is just beautiful! Parking way better as well. read more

I want to respond to the woman complaining that her sons' class was cancelled and it was going to take two weeks for a tuition refund. It takes you, a single person, one minute to write a check. A college has many layers from check request to approval before a check can go out. Colleges are accountable to auditors. Colleges are businesses with checks and balances. Colleges accept state and federal grants and are accountable. To expect someone to just whip out a checkbook is unreasonable. Two weeks is in fact very reasonable. read more

I have been attending classes on and off for a while and I have to say that this past year has been the absolute worst in experiences with the staff. I've experienced incompetence to the max from the testing center, the woman not only was extremely rude but told me I had the wrong exam ticket when I SPECIFICALLY called weeks prior to ensure I had the right one for the credit I needed and I was looped through several people before getting to a woman who sits at the front desk in the testing center and she assured me I had the right exam. WRONG. It was the wrong one and not only did I waste my time but I also lost time from work which means I lost money -AS IF THIS SCHOOL DOESN'T TAKE ENOUGH OF IT ALREADY. Several occasions now I have had documents left with staff members that have gone missing and my transcript I paid to have mailed out over a month ago now was NEVER received by my institution and it's impossible to get a hold of anyone in the student services department that handles transcripts. Seriously get yourselves together. I never feel satisfied after "resolving" an issue at this place. I cannot wait to be finished with this semester so I can say goodbye forever to this disorganized establishment. read more
