My nails are naturally VERY thin and flexible. Every time I have had a service here, I have always asked for my nails to be hand filed rather than drill filed due to how thin they are. Every time, my request has been ignored. Additionally, when I need my gel/dip nails removed, rather than a gentle soak off with acetone and polish remover, they will try to JAM ANOTHER NAIL TIP UNDERNEATH my nails to remove them and it is so painful!! And when I wince; the techs always act annoyed or surprised. My nails always end up red, rough, and/or torn. I thought these behaviors were normal and I lived dreading these parts of what are supposed to be relaxing services. Thought I was going crazy until I spoke and received a phenomenal service from a professional technician who works at a different salon, and she told me that these poor practices are due to laziness and because a salon wants to get as many people in and out as they can. I 100% am convinced this is the case. Please be aware that this is not ok, and find another salon to go to if you receive similar treatment! Now I know better and will not be back.

Let's start with the fact that my reservation was for 3:00pm and I wasn't started until 4:30. In the middle of a pandemic, my nail tech didn't have mask on. I didn't think too much of it because there was a total of 4 people in the salon, but still. I put the pictures of the nails I was going for. It took her almost an hour to get the length, shape, and apply acrylic. The shape she gave me was way too long, but I didn't say much because I could work with it. I didn't mind. Mentioning that her and the other nail tech were sharing supplies and tools between clients. When I was told to wash my hands, I entered the bathroom and I was absolutely disgusted. It reeked of marijuana and there was a small bowl that had debris floating; along with a nail brush that was practically decaying away. By the time she started on the polish, it was 5:45pm. The application of the polish was so messy and it only highlighted that the acrylic was uneven and bumpy. She was also applying it so lazily and the shade she chose did not match the one in the picture that I showed her almost every 3 mins. When she started the design, it took her about four times before I had to cut the appointment short. I expressed that the polish application was terrible and that I would pay for at least half, but I couldn't have her continue. When I walked out, I had realized that the polish on my thumbs did not cure under the light and I was able to essentially peel the polish off. I had called back the next day expressing how upset I was with my services and wanted a refund. The "manager" told me that I could not get one because of there "no refund" policy. There was not one sign in that place that said anything about a policy. Very upset. I do not recommend that you come here. I have never spent more than 45 mins to an hour getting my nails done and I was there for almost 3 hours. I will be going to Thucc's Nail Salon which is not far from this place. I highly recommend him!

I had a gel polish manicure and pedicure from another place. I wanted that soaked off and replaced with a regular polish manicure and pedicure. First, a woman at the front questioned me when I said it was gel polish. She said it was builder gel. It wasn't. Not a big deal though. Then I was directed to pick a color from the wall. Pretty standard. However there was really no greeting, no instructions about the multiple shelves of polish, no request to sign in, I had to ask. Again, none of this was a big deal. My manicurist again checked my nails to see if it was builder gel or if I had tips. Again, no. She half soaked my nails and half used the electric file to sand off the gel polish. Overall, she seemed inconvenienced and like she was rushing to work on another client. She cut my cuticle which caused it to bleed. She wiped the blood off with a paper towel that she continued to use and wipe everywhere. She never cleaned my cut cuticle with any sanitizer. Then she ushered me over to the pedicure chair. And left me there for a little bit of time without saying anything. Then someone else came over and started doing my pedicure. The second woman seemed to do a better job with my toes. But again was not very communicative and only told me to go to the dryers, didn't carry anything, didn't come over to make sure the dryer was on. It wasn't. I had to turn it on myself. I have to say, I am not a high maintenance client. I go to another place where many of the reviews say how rude the staff is and yes they are but they get the job done. I have no complaints about that place. This place was just really unwelcoming. The staff seemed to be poorly trained. The salon was pretty beat up and just not clean. I had to wait to pay because the young man at the from was struggling to juggle someone trying to make an appointment while I was checking out. I was really surprised at how busy it was but they did seem to treat their regular clients much better. I will not become one as I do not wish to return. Oh and my nail chipped 4 hours after leaving but I am tough on my nails so that may not be their fault.
