I got a refill with design. I believe the name of my tech was Eva or Ava. Eva/Ava was a doll and talented. She is good at doing nails. However, Just prepare yourself for the 'Ava experience' (I was told this from a few people who have had Eva/Ava) The Eva/Ava experience is 2.5 hours for a refill (this is how long it Took her to finish for me) because she was constantly stoping to text or speak to friends on the phone. The whole time, she would stop working on my nails to answer back text . She was texting and talking on the phone so many Times I couldn't believe it . I nicely asked if she could focus on my nails. She was polite but continued to stop every few moments to read a text or stop to text back. I truly feel my nails were not neglected during this process and again, she did do a good job but the time it took to complete was ridiculous. It was a complete lack of consideration. As a business owner myself, I strongly Suggest, enforcing a no phone policy. I have never experienced this before. In my 30 + years of nail experience have I witness a nail tech stopping to text And take calls while working on my nails. She began raising her voice at me as if I was a child. She informed me she would not complete the service until I paid. I gave her $20, and she insisted I paid the full amount of $45, and she would finish the service. When told her no and she called the police. As the police and I attempt to come to a resolution to clean the polish off my skin and apply a clear coat. The owner refused saying my service was complete. Informing me they've been in business for 30 years. If so you should be able to conduct yourself as a business owner, while speaking to your consumer with respect. If I'm paying you to do a service, and I'm telling you I am unhappy, why are you becoming offended? The police allowed me to leave because she refused to complete the service and I did nothing wrong as a consumer. You can't ask for the full price while refusing to complete the service. Extremely unprofessional I do not recommend.

She told me $35 over the phone but convinced me to add a bunch of extra stuff that I didn't realize cost more money so my nails were $63 instead of the $35 I was told on the phone. Now the changing of the price would be fine if she had a menu somewhere or explained that she would be changing the price because what if I didn't have enough cash??? I can tell that this is an individual who has great craft and skill. The nails she did on me were so beautiful. And she seemed like a nice lady. I would advise that if you go you bring a lot of cash and singles in case she changes the price on you and to go in with bare nails ONLY. She will ruin your natural nails.

Good cuticle cleanup - careful, non-painful, and didn't over trim any of the skin on my toes. Better than many of the neighborhood nail salons in Chicago for equal price. The base pedicure comes with a few options for aromatherapy, which was a nicer uograde vs what many places offer. The salon was clean, the techs were thorough (though a bit of a language barrier, nothing we couldn't work through to communicate), and they were helpful at letting me tip on the credit card (I paid the cost of the pedicure in cash, but I think there's otherwise a small credit card fee). I'm visiting from out of town, but this was a great last minute find in the area and would recommend!

Unsure if she cleaned her hands/changed her gloves in between. My nails look OK but the whole process was rushed. I did not really get a spa treatment either. My nails were done and at the end I briefly got a hot towel and lotion (30 seconds, tops). The worst part, though, is that I came out with three damaged fingers: one bleeding from cutting the cuticles too close and the other two with a brush burn from using the nail file too harsh.
