If only 0 stars was an option. If you have plenty of money to spare, and all the time in the world, CBG is the survey company for you. If you are on any kind of timeline, you better look elsewhere. We are in the process of applying for permits with the county, and they required a minor plat be drawn before any permits would be issued. They (as well as a couple of other entities) recommended CBG as someone they work with "all the time" who is "very familiar with the process". So that's who we went with, but it has just been one nightmare after another for us. We began this process in Feb of 2025, and here it is September, and we still don't have all of the required documentation from CBG. Plus, we are currently working with our THIRD rep - because the first 2 no longer work there. While the 2nd rep was helping us, she would never answer my calls/emails, and I had to send a blind email to the company just to get any response at all. The 3rd rep just replied to my email and asked if I needed help getting a plat started!!! She had no idea where we even were in the process. Lord help me have restraint with her. And all of this headache and time wasting cost me $2500 for a minor plat to be drawn (which we still don't have complete). Please, if you value your time and your sanity, do NOT choose CBG for your surveying. Consider this fair warning. read more

It is hard to communicate with them. Specifically, I requested that I be called when they would be at our empty lot. I was told my number was given to the crew. Every day I drove past the lot. One afternoon I spotted orange flags. I called the office and was told that I was called beforehand, that day, by the crew. It didn't happen. I was at home all day and my home line, cell phone and internal phone answering system proved that I did not miss a call. I had questions about the survey. I called the office, a few times, and was told that someone would return my call. It didn't happen. I hired a new survey company and they included more information on the paper survey. In person they explained things about the lot and gave me the information I needed. There are much better survey companies in the area! read more

Worst service ever. They claimed no survey company in the Dallas Metroplex goes out and leaves pin points for the builder to go off of. They took me for 380.00. Would never return my phone calls to figure my situation out. Will never use this company again and will not let them be recommended to any other customers I have. So if your looking for a surveyor scroll on by this phone and find you another company. I had to put a star in order to complete this review but I would give them 0 stars!!!! read more

Do not hire them!!!! Buyer Beware!!! This company was scheduled to come to my house for a survey on April 4th 12pm. 2 men rang my doorbell at 7:15am on April 3rd. 7:15am!!! Who does that? I was not dressed yet, my son was sleeping and the dog went crazy. When I opened the door the man wasn't even standing at the door- he scared me by coming around the corner and saying "We're here for the Survey!!" I told him it was scheduled for the 4th. He just shrugged his shoulders said "That's not my problem, I'm just doing my job!" I shut the door and continued getting myself and my child ready for the day. The man rang the doorbell again in 30 minutes. Then I went to open the gate and told him he had 5 minutes. He yelled "Just lock the gate!!" April 4th came and went by with no one showing up. April 5th, at 7:30am, yes 7:30 am!!! I was getting ready for work, not dress, and I looked out my window to see a man standing in front of it. I fell to my knees to look to see who it was and it was the SAME 2 men. They were back without permission or an appointment!! He ended up doing the survey without speaking to anyone at my home, never ringing the doorbell, walking in my backyard again without notice, warning or an appointment ( who does that?). He could see everything in my house, because we do not have curtains in the back yard. In Retro spec - I should have called the police!! The most unprofessional, inconsiderate company, not to mention a very scary experience for a woman and her children. read more

This company was on time and performed the work in a timely manner. There $ is competitive and I recommend these guys for any survey work. Fred was great at returning emails. read more
