We are "regulars" at Cazadores. I think their food is a step above comparable Mexican restaurants in the area. The menu has the usual suspects and they have a daily specials. The food is hot, good and usually fast. We have had a longer wait at lunch on a Monday, but that was atypical. Meals start with complimentary warm corn tortilla chips and fresh salsa. Refills on these are free, which is not the case at some other places. They offer a drive thru for take out orders. An a cold day, that passes a chill through the entire restaurant, especially the booths nearest the kitchen. It's not as noticeable when it's hot outside. A drive thru is a great option! Especially if you order in advance or have gotten used to eating at home after two years of COVID restrictions. My only ding is that they really need to take some time to fix the interior. There are stained and missing ceiling tiles. Lots of dust, beyond the reach of most people. The restroom door and door frame need repair, at least the men's. There are holes in the wall in that restroom as well. Several booths have torn seating. I don't expect the interior to be brand new, but it needs maintenance. They are conveniently on route 47 (West Michigan St) at N Vandemark Road, not far from I-75, with plentiful parking. read more

This place was hopping. You could tell it is a local spot to go get some decent Mexican food. We got there just before the dinner rush, and thank goodness as the wait got long fast. There was a large staff, the food came out quickly (while still tasting good), and they got through groups pretty fast. The food was delicious. I got a taco, it had a lot of flavor and was stuffed with cheese, lettuce, and meat. They have a decently large menu with a variety of options. Save room for dessert and get the deep fried cheesecake bites. They are AMAZING! This was a nice little place to go while visiting the area. read more

Server didn't speak English. Menu was huge and had pictures. Chips and salsa came right out, with extra salsa in a pitcher for when the first bowl emptied. I figured this place was gonna be GREAT! Alas, it wasn't great, but wasn't terrible either. Our group struggled to tell the server what we wanted, and resorted mostly to pointing to the menu. A couple folks asked for adjustments or substitutions, only to have the food arrive without the proper items. In the end, we all left with full bellies, but it wasn't anything special. read more

I liked Cazadores and would return when in the area. Interior is large, clean and can be loud. Good number of booths. Prices were reasonable. The chips and salsa were plentiful and tasty (individual salsa bowls was a nice touch). I went with the Garlic Shrimp - the menu states 11 shrimp, but there were more on my plate. Nice sized shrimp, well cooked, with tons and tons of chopped garlic. Served with rice, which was tasty and not dry. Easily accessible from I-75. Busy the Tuesday night we dined there. read more

The only reason I give 4 stars is there have been a couple small incidents where the waiter wasn't the most pleasant to us and one time we did have missing items in our to-go order. Visiting for business. I wanted something simple but authentic. Chips are stale and tough, they taste of the oil they are cooked in. Enchilada Banderas, easy and on the chef's special page. The cheese enchilada was still cold in the middle with the cheese not melted even though I was told plate was very hot. Beef was older and repurposed, which happens but was not flavorful. Fried ice cream was coated in cornflakes but they were also stale and old. The service was quick and attentive but there have to be better options in the area. read more

I went here with my grandma grandpa dad and brother and we ate the food and I didn't feel to great after but it was ok till the night. at around 11:30 Pm I was experiencing a lot of pain in my stomach to the point I went to the ER. there I discovered I had food poisoning with this being the only other meal I ate the rest of the day. i highly do not recommend this place. even my family said there food tasted off. read more

This place is an amazing Mexican restaurant. After having experienced numerous Mexican restaurants throughout the US, this one is in my top 5. The food is sensational. It is always fresh, hot, and delicious. My husband and I normally go here for date nights but it is very family friendly. It would definitely be a good place for either. The staff are great and I don't think we have ever waited more than 10 minutes for a table at their busiest times. Pricing is typical for the type of restaurant and location. If you haven't tried out this restaurant yet give it a try, it won't disappoint! read more

Chips were warm and salsa was homemade fresh. Great place if you want beer, chips, and salsa. The service was a little bad. Asking for sour cream was apparently a huge burden. The steak with shrimp on top was the best dish of the night. We got the Mexican pizzas thinking the kids would like it. They did not. Food was horrible! First time here, I got the chilaquiles with red sauce and chicken. When I got the food, it looked more like nachos than chilaquiles. They didn't put enough red sauce so the tortillas weren't soaked with the sauce. The chicken didn't have any flavor, It was just boiled shredded chicken. If you know real Mexican food, don't come to this place. This place has trash Mexican food that people think is good and it's authentic, which it's not. read more

My husband and I were passing thru town and stopped here because there were so many good reviews. The reviews were spot on. Marie (or was it Maria) was an awesome server and even brought us a sample of their special cheese sauce....my husband really liked it. We both got the chimichanga and we got it fried rather than soft. It came with rice and beans on the side and the guacamole that was on top was a very ample serving. The chips and salsa were perfect....the chips had a great crunch and the salsa was just right. Marie brought us containers to take all the extra chips, salsa, and guacamole home with us. Looks a little run down and could use a good cleaning but the food is delicious. The food is great Mexican / Tex-Mex. While I don't eat it often, the Chorizo and eggs was not salty or greasy. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back, but the servers are fast, friendly, and helpful. The pricing is very reasonable we go a couple of times a month. read more

Delish! That place is really great. I love the authentic feel of both the food and service. I had the Arroz con Mariscos which had rice, shrimp, and scallops. Very good. Would order that again next time. The salsa and the cheese dip we had were also just about perfect. You can tell they care about the quality of their food here. If you want an excellent sweet treat, get the Xangos! So good! Highly recommend eating here. read more

Food is good. I have eaten at this location for about 10 years and over time the quality has suffered as well as the service. I can say it's hit or miss on the service for a more truthful review. I have gotten the same dishes over the years which are the Burro Grande and the Vera Cruz. The Vera Cruz portions of shrimp and salmon have decreased quite a bit from the original but the prices have crept up quite a bit. The renovations to the interior a couple of years back were welcomed but could have gone further. I miss the original cooks from 10 years ago as I believe this is where the quality has suffered in taste. The salsa is very good if you prefer a thin base with little chunks. It's more inline with a picante instead of a salsa in my opinion. Cilantro is a key flavor in the salsa and the onions top it off to make it one of my favorites to date. Overall it's a good restaurant and is average cost. I would have given this place 4-5 stars just a few years ago but I just can't give that today with quality of food and service at the present time. read more

What a nice surprise this was! Possibly the best homemade chips and salsa I've ever had, obviously made from scratch. I couldn't stop, but had to when my enchiladas verde arrived. Those were also delicious, and even though there were only two enchiladas it was plenty. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Couldn't tell you how the food is but I can tell you how the service is. It was non existent. I walked in and was seated immediately by the hostess. After sitting at my table almost 10 minutes a man brings me chips and salsa but takes no order, doesn't even ask. Just after the chips and salsa are brought out a table of 3 is seated next to me. Waitress was at their table within a couple minutes taking drink orders, I still haven't ordered even a drink yet. I'm thinking I'm next, nope. Waited another 5 minutes and left. read more
