I just got home from my first experience with Great Wolf Lodge and overall I had a great time!…read more My cousin invited me to stay with her and her daughters as well as her daughters friends at Great Wolf Lodge for her youngest daughters birthday. I'd never been and figured why not as I could use a little getaway. This stay was not without it's issues as there were some things that happened early into our experience that were less than ideal. My family got to Great Wolf Lodge a couple hours before I did as I had to work a bit later than her and when I arrived i heard about a situation that happened in the water park...my cousin instructed her oldest daughter to watch after her little sister and her little sister's two friends who came with them but unfortunately her teenage daughter wasn't paying attention to them quite as well as she was supposed to and the younger girls walked off and after they did, they were looking for my cousin but had a difficult time locating her and my cousin's oldest daughter who was supposed to be watching them while my cousin went to take care of a matter...anyhow, the girls started crying because they couldn't find them but my cousin returned to the water park area just a few moments later and was met with a hostile security guard who had the young girls crying even more as he was yelling at my cousin berating her for not being there watching the kids and she calmly tried to explain that her teenage daughter was supposed to be with them but he just continued with a rant about how they're going to call the police on her and saying that he shouldn't be responsible for having to watch her children when he dosen't even like kids. (Side note: If that's how he feels he should definitely find another job, this family friendly environment clearly is not for this man).. anyhow, while i can understand where he is coming from about no one watching the children for that short time, it was a whole unnecessary and embarrassing experience for my family. Shortly after I arrived and set my stuff down and got my bathing suit on, I ended up meeting up with my cousin's oldest daughter who was just outside of the Waterpark area at the time and she wanted to go back to our room for a bit so we tried the elevator but the elevators in this place are extremely slow so instead we decided to take the stairs to get to the room. On the second floor of the stairwell, there was a man standing in a corner staring at us as we walked by, a few seconds later I turned my head to look back at him and he was still staring at us and smiling in a very unsettling way. Mind you, I was in a bathing suit and she is a very attractive teenage girl wearing a bikini so we knew he was being a creeper. We ended up just taking the elevator downstairs and reported him to the front desk. They couldn't really do much as he didn't say anything to us or try to follow us but they assured us that they would keep an eye on him through video surveillance and would take action if he was making other women and girls uncomfortable. We stayed another night as we didn't want this to be her daughters whole great wolf lodge experience for the youngest daughters birthday and we ended up with a much better experience yesterday as a very sweet employee by the name of Darlene took the time to listen to my cousin about the awful experience with the security guard in the water park and she really made our day! Darlene demonstrated amazing customer service by being present, fully listening to our concerns and showing compassion by offering the girls some birthday pins and getting us set up with the breakfast buffet. We had a nice breakfast and spent some quality family time in the Waterpark as well as the arcade yesterday without any disturbances! We also did the mirror maze and joined in on the family dance party which were fun experiences for the girls. I loved the wave pool as well as the howling tornado in the Waterpark and would like to come back to experience that again! It's definitely no amusement park and it's an overpriced place to stay for what it is but it would still be good place to go with family for one night every now and then...especially if they keep employees like Darlene around !

Sadly I didn't finish it because I had to go number 1 really bad. Now on to the room. The room was modestly sized with furniture shoved into every available space. The floors are plastic and cold. TV lost connection no less than 5 times forcing us to miss a few minutes of the show to reboot it. The best part was the bed. Very comfy bed. The comforters they provide are not designed for tall people though. The bathroom was not great. The shower is small with a temp control that sticks causing jumps in water temp. From luke warm to scalding quickly. For men beware the toilet. The water level is so high if you have to sit down to potty you will need to squat or parts might find themselves taking a swim in murky waters if you know what i mean. I would have normally told the staff all of this but the icy frosting on this stay was check out where the staff gave no greeting, didn't ask how the stay was or even express any positive sentiment towards us. In a city full of places to stay don't be fooled by there advertised low price. You end up with a low price experience for a high price in your check book.

It's such a cool and unique experience -- cozy, serene, and unlike any traditional hotel stay. One of my favorite memories is making s'mores by the fire and enjoying them beside the running river. We loved it so much that we booked another visit -- but unfortunately, we ran into an unexpected childcare situation that meant we had to cancel. It was incredibly disappointing and honestly very inconvenient. We had been so excited to return, and having to change plans at the last minute was stressful. That's where Abbey Rodriguez truly shined. She was so gracious, kind, and understanding throughout the entire situation. Instead of making us feel like we were causing a problem, she stepped in immediately, handled everything with compassion and professionalism, and made what could have been a frustrating experience feel manageable and supported. Her warmth and willingness to help turned a difficult moment into one that actually deepened our appreciation for TreeHouse Point. Exceptional places are special -- but exceptional people make them unforgettable. Abbey's graciousness and care showed us that TreeHouse Point isn't just magical because of the treehouses and the forest (though those are amazing!) -- it's magical because of the heart behind it. We just returned from a visit at Treehouse Point, completing a bucket list item. To say it was an…read moreoutstanding experience is putting it mildly! It was the highlight of our road trip! When we arrived at Treehouse Point, everybody was so professional and kind! We were given a quick tour of all of the amenities in the lodge and other community areas. Then, we were directed to our tree house, Ananda. Just wow! It was cozy as well as spacious, and it was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need! Even though there were other tree houses around ours, we ALL enjoyed total privacy. A great deal of attention has been made in creating personal experiences while still tending to developing a very unique community. All building materials in our treehouse were the best quality available, and the workmanship is second to none! We walked around the grounds, being respectful of others' privacy. Every tree house was unique and beautiful! We then took the trail down to the Raging River. It was beautiful, but our spring has been unusually dry, and the river a little thirsty. Overnight, a rainstorm came through the area. The sound coming from a refreshed river the next morning was breathtaking! I wanted to wake up so I could experience it all, but instead I slept through it. I guess I slept comfortably! (And I am not young.) The bath houses were beautiful and felt like individual spa rooms. They were supplied with wonderful bath products, and the shower offered a pampering experience. Similarly, special products and amenities were provided in our private unit, including coffee and tea. We were going to wash our few dishes, but no dish soap was found, further demonstrating Treehouse Point's intent to pamper their guests. After waking up in the trees, we prepared our own mugs of coffee, tea, and nibbles. After a peaceful start to the day, we made our way to the lodge for breakfast (feeding the fish along the way). Our own breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The chef and souz chef prepared several wonderful dishes. The selections and quality of preparation were both outstanding! Our visit was so wonderful that we truly didn't want to leave! We made the visit to fulfill a bucket list item, but we are already talking about returning again, this time with friends. I could go on and share more, but I want you to delight in your own experience, just as we had. If you've been considering a visit to Treehouse Point, wait no longer. You will never regret it!

I tried to explain that people were right behind us and it wasn't safe to block egress but the people at the front desk said that it wasn't a problem. My husband just needed to block traffic and unload our things then wait for a valet driver to appear. I asked if we could upgrade our room to a club level but was informed that they have no ability to do so at the front desk and haven't for some time. I was very disappointed at this. It would have been one thing if they were booked but just flat out denial just because felt somehow personal (even if it wasn't actually). I went back out to the entrance to see if I could spot my husband and made him stop. Soon after a valet arrived and said he should park the car perpendicular to the other cars so he would have somewhere to park. This would have effectively blocked both the valet cars and the through traffic lanes. He then asked if we were going to do valet parking. I told him "not any more!" This hotel charges $69 a night for valet and the self parking isn't worlds cheaper but it definitely felt worth it to have our car placed carefully by us and not left in the care of the person who felt perpendicular/blocking through traffic was a good idea. Meanwhile I found our room that has a persistent sound of whistling when the heating is on and I found that the bathroom, while beautiful had a rather unappealing quality. When you use the toilet you are looking directly into a rather large mirror. When taken all together it makes for a rather disappointing experience. I don't think I will stay at any Hyatt again. There are other options that are pleasant and clean and well thought out nearby.
