CayCare is so amazing! It is such a relief to have an Adult Family Home for my mom. She was at a skilled nursing facility that provided poor care. They told my sister with less than 24 hours notice that they would be discharging her. Mom has a broken shoulder and was unable to use her walker or even transfer to a wheelchair. We had no idea what we were going to do. We were overwhelmed and stressed. The social worker at the nursing facility was not helpful at all but she did give us information about CayCare. My sister contacted LaTonda there and she immediately began working on our behalf to find available Adult Family Homes that were suitable for our mom. Our first contact with CayCare was on a Thursday afternoon and by the next day LaTonda had 3 home tours set up for that coming Monday. LaTonda accompanied us on the tours and knew what questions to ask based on the information she gathered about my mom. We chose a place right in the neighborhood we lived in growing up and mom was able to move in a day later. I can't express how grateful my family is for CayCare's help. LaTonda was so helpful and professional. She should be commended for the way she effectively solved our problem and helped our family. She is an absolute miracle worker. CayCare was wonderful and I highly recommend them! They helped me with both my parents when they were diagnosed with dementia. Initially with my dad, they really just listened and helped me to navigate things, telling me what I needed to do and prepare for. My sister out of state took over his care, but I remembered them when I needed help with my mom recently. They stepped right in, getting me 24/7 caregiving in a very short notice,, connecting me a great company who were able to provide respite care while I worked with CayCare to find assisted living for my mom, also in a very short time. They really supported me and my care and just made things so easy for me. Their knowledge of resources, of the steps you need to take, of even just breaking things down and telling you what you need to know is truly exceptional. And it was all free to me! I went this alone but I had CayCare in my pocket - and they kept following up with me after I got my mom into assisted living, ensuring we didn't need any more help. This is priceless. My mother-in-law was admitted to Good Sam Hospital for a cardiac condition. She had a history of Demetia. After it was determined she could not live by herself anymore and needed memory care we didn't know what to do. CayCare was recommended by the hospital, and we had our first encounter with Lisa Doyle. She assured us everything would be OK and got to work. Within 1 day she arraigned 3 potential places for mom. She came with us to review each place and was our guide, helping with questions, clarifications and concerns. A place was chosen, and she really went to work! Tirelessly helping to secure the paperwork for transfer from the hospital and always available for a text, email or phone call. She told us it would be like drinking through a fire hose and it was. CayCare was recommended to us by Good Sam when we needed to place our mom in an assisted-living facility after a heart attack and stroke which left her unable to return home. We didn't know where to even begin but CayCare jumped right in, educated us, and helped us find two facilities to tour the very next day. We were able to find the perfect place and get her in the very next week. We experienced a hiccup with the hospital needing to discharge sooner than the facility was ready and LaTonda Berg was ON IT, appealing the discharge (we didn't even know that was a thing) and getting our mom placed in a temporary facility until her room was ready. I truly don't know what we would have done without them, their knowledge, their kindness and their dedication to doing the best for every family they serve. My 100 year old mother was being discharged from the hospital but needed more care than the retirement home where she had lived could provide. The hospital referred us to Cay Care to find a place for her. We worked with nurse Peggy. As this was during the COVID pandemic, in person visits were not available, so a virtual visit was done with an adult family home. No matter how much you learn about a facility virtually, it is not like seeing it in person. I was worried that we find a place that would provide great care since this was MY mother. The adult family home turned out to be a great place. Even though my mother was no longer able to walk or basically care for herself, she was cared for very well. She never had any skin break down. The staff were gentle and genuinely loved her. I am so thankful for the assistance that Cay Care gave us. read more

CayCare was such a godsend to us when my mother-in-law needed to move into assisted living. We knew nothing about senior living. A friend recommended CayCare. We gave them a call and received a call back the same day. We told LaTonda what we were looking for. LaTonda was like having a realtor that did all of the calling around, set up visits, and made sure we only visited facilities that met our loved one's needs. She helped us to know what questions to ask and to understand the process. We were able to find an assisted living apartment for my mother-in-law that met her needs and budget. She was able to find a place for him in less than 24 hours and when that didn't work out due to his worsening illness and I was losing hope, Lisa cheered me up, dove right back in and found him another home, again in less than 24 hours.
