This star is for during the COVID-19 pandemic. I went in on May 14, 2020. Due to me being terminally ill I make sure that I follow all the protocols to the T. Virginia didn't start their phase 1 of re-opening until today which is the 15th. And in the revisions for opening, in phase 1 it is recommended that restaurant workers and anyone working with food to wear a mask. Well they weren't even in phase 1. And so they should've been wearing a mask when dealing with the food. The owner was very kind and he was wearing a mask. I asked him why he's not making his employees wear a mask, He stated that they didn't want to. You're the business owner you're the person and that's gonna lose the most if something happens. Needless to say I got a little heated little upset I was trying to keep my composure but one of his employees a girl with black hair way too much make up for her age, was kind of snarky when she replied and so I Let my attitude this. She said we don't have to wear them. Last I checked you're supposed to wear them when you are in employer and your employees are supposed to wear them during the pandemic. I told him he's gonna be the one that has the most to lose. He's going to be on that would be getting in trouble the most. Because he didn't make his employees wear a mask to protect not only his other employees but also his patrons. So I'm like you know what I don't want the sandwiches thank you. And when I turned around she the one that had way too much make up on for her age, said have a nice day In a snotty tone so I gave her the finger. I normally wouldn't but you piss me off. I went next-door to the gas station which apparently the same owner on the gas station. And I looked I got some candy for me and my daughter. Because I know that that stuff I can wipe off with the rubbing alcohol wipes. I look over and the girl at the gas station wasn't wearing a mask making food echo yeah why aren't you wearing that because I don't have to I go may I ask why not, She says I'm not sick. How do you know, were you chat did you get tested. Echo it's people like you she didn't let me finish before she got very rude, and I said to her please let me finish her she's like no I'm not letting you finish people like me blah blah blah. I said I was saying people like you that don't wanna wear the mask they may not seem sick but they could be carrying the coronavirus, and you breathing on the food is going to make your patron sick. And her manager came out and she's like what's the problem, and the manager was nasty looking. Filthy looking. Like the owner should be embarrassed that he hired Her and allowed her to look the way she did in front of his patrons. And I said I'm just concerned why you guys aren't wearing mask as the CDC the CDC said it's not necessary. I go but you guys do know that it's pretty much a long right now that you should be wearing mask when you are handling your customers food. And they laughed at me and I'm like wow and I got a little bit of an attitude and the manager woman whatever she was, looked at me and says you can leave now I go that's OK I was. her and allowed her to look the way she did in front of his patrons. And I said I'm just concerned why you guys aren't wearing mask as the CDC the CDC said it's not necessary. I go but you guys do know that it's pretty much a long right now that you should be wearing mask when you are handling your customers food. And they laughed at me and I'm like wow and I got a little bit of an attitude and the manager woman whatever she was, looked at me and says you can leave now I go that's OK I was.I ended up turning them into the public health department. And I called the senator for that area and I'm waiting for him to call me back because that is ridiculous that those employees were marrying a mask when they were handling patrons food. Oh and the one that got defensive first and I said and people like you that and she wouldn't let me finish when I was going to say that don't wanna wear a mask, she goes we're gonna die someday so who cares. So to the owner and the manager that may be reading this review, I haven't left my house since this began, I live in upstate New York. We left the house to go get my new service dog. I didn't go in the other businesses other than one and they were all wearing masks. If I get Covid in the next 2 to 3 weeks, you will have a lawsuit on your hands. I may have looked like I just rolled out of bed, but that is because we were traveling 15 hours from Georgia back to New York. I'm sick so I was comfortable, But let me let you know, looks can be extremely deceiving.So not only will the owner of the place be sued, each of the employees will also be sued. To the owner you were wearing a mask and you were very kind and I thank you. Here's a tip, you're the owner you're their employer, they don't wanna wear a mask too bad. No mask no work. That simple.
