Looks great but looks can be deceiving the staff is very rude, I will not be returning. Better options throughout the city

My best friend brought me here in January after my birthday during the week. It was slow on a Wednesday about maybe three other groups of people ( my type of scene definitely) so we sat wherever and chose a table in the corner. Inside looks like an actual cave lol it's dark and spacious a perfect setting to get fucked up. If your like my best friend and I we will have fun anywhere regardless of what's going on (natural crackhead energy) so the spot being empty didn't bother us we honestly had a blast! I would definitely come back during the week. read more

Upon entering this establishment on a Sunday evening during the football playoffs. I kindly asked if it was possible to turn on the game on 1/7 Televisions. With no hesitation, the game was turned on 7/7 televisions. During half time, the game was turned off, no problem. I asked once the game came back on, can it be tuned back in. Eventually the manager came up to me and my date and said he will not be putting the game back on, this isn't a sports bar and to watch the game on my phone. His demeanor and attitude was very unprofessional and unwelcoming. After spending over $200 in this establishment, I would not recommend their service. What I asked for was previously accommodated, and I was put off by the response and treatment I received. read more

DONT NOT GO HERE ! Especially African-Americans Waiter was so rude literally I was being kind about him messing up my order and he threw the bill at us ! Mind you his manager was right there so I turned to him and asked what happened when employees disrespect paying customers ? He smirks then says we fire them , you can tell in his aura that he honestly didn't care what I had to say . How I was treated was disgusting but the other customers that were Caucasian l literally watched them being attending to every second we couldn't even get a waiter for water ! read more

My friend and I passed by here on our way back from the beach. The atmosphere was beautiful! Outdoor lights with a live a DJ!! We just had to stop and experience this awesome place! The food we ordered was mouthwatering!!! You need to try their fries! And the hookah was well tended to by Proffesional staff. The glove and mask protected waitress made us feel safe with our first dining out option since the pandemic. All in all, come here for a fun date or night out with friends. Cave Restaurant - The cutest late in mason jars!!! - Lounges Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

I was here last Saturday, the vibe was amazing the hookah was great , the drink were so good i love this place!!

SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!!!!!!! It was the first time my friends and I went out in a while and we decided to go to cave. We ordered drinks and a hookah from our server who seemed to be a little annoyed when taking our orders. The drinks came which were amazing, the hookah flavor & pull wasn't good. We waited 30 minutes and our server never came back to check on us or take our food order so someone from our table went to complain to the guy in the front. They sent someone else (a bald guy) to take our food order. When we told him the hookah wasn't good and asked to change it he had an attitude and said we should have to pay for a whole new one and we should've ordered what we're used to and he tells all his customers that. WelAn hour passed and we didn't receive any of our food not even appetizers! The bald guy, other members of the staff & even our server would literally walk past our table or Stare at our table and never came up to us to ask how we're doing or if we needed anything. A table that came after us got their food before us So a member of our party of 5 went back to the front to complain again. The bald guy from before (not our server) came again and then proceeded to tell us that the kitchen is backed up (which no one told us before because they were toooo busy ignoring our table) he then proceeded to go back and forth with a female at our table and she lost her cool and cursed him out. He told us he was telling the kitchen to cancel our order and gave us the bill while calling security. We paid the bill which included gratuity (which shouldn't have because the service was horrible) and got kicked out. I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

Horrible place. The service is was terrible! If I could give zero stars I would. We waited a whole hour and a half for nachos and it was cold AF! The tacos came with nothing but shrimp and a tortilla. They claimed that they ran out of everything. Smh never again! read more

Cave Restaurant - Hookah - Lounges Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Way overpriced for hookah and drinks. I am not sure if it is because of the night I chose to go on or that was their prices in general. They didn't have a variety of flavors either for the hookah and barely any drinks. The food was okay. The food was expected for a hookah place. The only reason I am giving this two stars is because of the vibe and the service. The vibe was beautiful on the interior. Also the service was amazing. Our waitress was very attentive and very kind. She works really hard. They didn't have a variety of music either. It seemed like mainly just house music that played all night long. I was disappointed in my experience. It definitely isn't worth trying out again or trying in general. read more

Me and my girlfriend just came from a great day at the beach and wanted to end the evening with some nice drinks and hookah. Looked up a few spots and this place seemed pretty appealing. And it was. We were seated by the waitress/bartender who did not know a word of English. That's okay. She was friendly. The place has a pretty cool cave-like atmosphere and decor, very dark ambience. We sat near the open large window so it let in some light. We ordered one appetizer (calamari) because we mostly came for drinks and hookah. The calamari was okay, slightly undercooked, definitely not the best I've ever had. But the hookah was great and the price was fair $25. One hookah, 2 shots and 2 mixed drinks came up to a bill of about $104. With a mandatory 20% gratituity tots was approx. $124. No problem, we know for next time. The reason I give this place 2 stars is because after we paid, the bartender returned with the check for us to sign but without my debit card. When I told her that she did not give me my card she seemed confused and said "this happens all the time when people drink, are you sure?" Yes! I'm sure! This friendly waitress quickly turned sideways. The bartender insisted it must've fallen near our table and left us to figure it out. Me and my girlfriend began looking for the card near our table but to no avail because we never got it. She misplaced our card. And on the other side of the lounge she's just standing there entertaining the cigarette smokers that sat at the bar. I guess she already got her 20% tip so who cares about us, right? After some time of looking and me calling my card company to freeze my card, she comes with my card and says "I found it on top of the fridge, this never happened before." Smh What started as a great experience ended on a bad note. Wish it never happened because it's a cool place but they lost my respect and trust. read more

Went there last night for my friend's bd. The place looks nice, food was good and music was ok (Dj put more old songs than new ones, which, in my opinion, should be the opposite). One thing that made me upset was the fact that I was waiting for the waitress to bring me a plate+fork and a glass, for way too long..... Plus they need to put the air condition on cause it was too hot. I would give it another chance. read more

Made a reservation on Monday April 29th for Saturday may 4th was told by the lady on the phone there was no charge for the reservation and we'd only be paying for our food when we went, she also said they would call us on Thursday to confirm the reservation. After not receiving a call from them on Thursday I called to confirm Friday, the guy who answered took down all my information again as if I didn't have a reservation and told me there would be a 2 bottle minimum (cheapest bottle is 200$) but it was the day before our reservation and we already sent out the address for everyone to meet there so we figured that wasn't too bad since there was no reservation fee. We arrived on Saturday and 3 people from our party were running late we weren't gonna make the staff wait until they came so we ordered our bottles and started with some appetizers, when our first 2 people who were running late arrived they gave one of them an issue for wearing sweat pants meanwhile there is no dress code listed on the website or anywhere for that matter, they ended up letting them in and when our last late person arrived they gave them an issue for wearing black cargo pants and said because they let the other person with sweats go in that they couldn't let the one wearing cargo pants go in. Meanwhile we had another person from our party wearing the same exact pants and they gave no issue to them, I asked to speak with the owner or manager and he told me we had 2 options send the person in sweats home and the cargo pants person can come in or if we were to get another bottle he can let him in, mind you we already spent close to $1000 in this place. The person wearing cargos travelled all the way from the other side of brooklyn taking 3 trains, when I told the owner/manager they should have their dress code listed on their website he said "We cant list every rule there" as if that isn't an important rule to let your patrons know about. we were aggravated and didn't want to leave our friend waiting outside so we decided to take our business elsewhere and I recommend everyone to do the same. Food was mid, ambiance was mid, price was over the top, and customer service was terrible. read more

Okay so I ordered a whiskey on the rocks and it was less than half the small cup for 11. That's ridiculous. Atmosphere is cool though. DJ was cool, they had a guy playing a drum the night I went. Also they want you to spend minimum $100 for a table, I guess because it's a hookah bar. But also a little pricey if you are going on a date for two. I'd say it's worth checking out. But pregame or be prepared for overpriced drinks. read more

Music was horrendous. There has been at least four songs - they were okay - but when a song replays itself five times in one night, I strongly believe something is not right here. This was just one of example of a night which I should have spent the night asleep I bed. Just three minutes after being here, I have seen a group of seventy year old (not exaggerating) women. This was the last thing that I wanted to see. And what the f*ck do these bartenders over here do? I specifically ask for a drink and they just give me some cheaper quality alcohol and tell me I don't know what I'm talking about. The next time anyone anywhere is looking to enjoy your night, please do yourself a favor and don't even look in Cave's direction. read more

Cave. What can i say about this place. All my friends are always wanting to go here on weekends! I'm a bar girl. I love to grab a beer and just chill and have conversation. Clubs were never my thing, but to each his own! I'd go with my friends because spending time with them was the point even if i have to spend a few minutes on the dance floor listening to edm mixes and some Russian music! Their prices are decent for beers. Cocktails of course are a little more pricey. But all in all it's a place people go to mingle and find someone to end the night with. Not really my cup of tea but it still is a great time if you go with the right group of people! read more

Cave is one of my favorite spots to visit in Brooklyn to have dinner and drinks. It's best known for its nightlife but you need to give the food a try. DO NOT COME HERE! We came here on Feb. 2 to celebrate Maryanne's birthday. It was a Saturday night. Absolutely awful service. We ordered dinner at 845 pm and were not served until 1045 pm, 2 hours later! We were told there was only one chef on duty and had to starve for 2 hours! We were not even offered any bread or chips. Then when the food finally came out, they forgot to put the ahi tuna into the ahi tuna salad! They only brought the salad with no tuna. We sent it back and were promised a brand new salad. Of course that never happened! Finally after reminding the waitresses for another 2 hours, they brought a plate of ahi tuna salad to go and packed it up in a bag. When we got home, of course the ahi tuna was missing! Again they cheated us out of the tuna. The wait staff were rude, obnoxious, and outright nasty! The music was awful and DG sucked! It was some type of wanna be techno music which was impossible to dance to. read more

Yesterday I went to Cave with a friend of mine. It was not my first time there. But last night made me write a review finally. Let me be frank, it is a cool place for dancing. Music is nice, a lot of old hits, mix up of different genres. The food is good too. Hookah was done nicely and the guy checked on it constantly. What I did not like was the idiotic idea of ripping me off. Even though I do not pay, I can not stand a thought that somebody takes me or my company for fools. This happened in Cave before and it happened there again last night. So, we came around 12, the place was still half empty. We asked for the table the waitress said that none were available, my friend asked another guy, he gave us a table. The waitress came 2 minutes after and said that our check has to be at least $150, which was not a problem, even though I hate when somebody puts price restrictions on me. We made our order and all went well until the check came in. So, I assume, because we didn't make any fuss on paying $150, they decided we wont notice any extras to the bill. They added us somebody's drinks, they doubled the price of my bottle. When I asked for the menu and showed the price, the girl did not even apologize but ran to call a guy who insisted that the price was right. Why is it in the menu wrong then?! All in all we got it removed from the bill, but it spoiled my mood. It was very unpleasant to prove that I have a right to pay the price on the menu and that additional drinks were never even close to our table. Another few pointers: - There is no bathroom attendants, so no toilet paper and a mess; - People do smoke cigarettes inside; - Somebody mentioned that it is 21 and older, that is not true. I personally know at least 7 underage girls who were there on a birthday party with me couple months back. Bouncer does NOT check everybody's IDs, but only those he feels like need to be checked. - In less than 4 hours there were 3 fights. They were cleared fast and did not affect me anyhow, but still. BTW, there were fights every time I was there. I gave 3 stars because Cave has nice music, good food, and cool atmosphere. However, there are many things they should work on, and the first thing they should hire ETHICAL personal and stop the assumption that Eastern Europeans will pay any bill just because they had a drink and they are embarrassed to express the concerns. Next time this happens to me, I wont be this tolerant, I will report this place to the Better Business Bureau and make a complaint in NYC Consumer Affairs. read more

No cover. Girl-to-guy ratio is not as bad as other reviews say it is (only after 3am it gets that way). Most chicks are bleached blonds from the post-soviet space, while the guys are of various other species (including Russian). The music is mostly Latin (wtf?) ... the contingent is mostly trashy. But it was one of the few places that was full until late night, so I give it a good grade. ps: smoking was allowed inside... read more

I see a lot of nice reviews :) one review was 1 star , I don't agree , at last not now ( the review was made when the place was 6 month open ) . It says the dj is on the 3rd floor . That's not the case anymore :) . I DJ in cave since September 2013 . The reason I wanna give this review is because no place grown so fast like "Cave" did . Everytime I'm there I see new faces , a mix of crowd , Russians , Jews , Albanians , Americans , Latino , black , white , .... And all having fun together :) is 21 + no joke . I like that . Cuz u can't wait to be 21 And come And party with us :) I enjoy DJn there , I sweat my self DJn and dancing in the Same time :) . The food got even better , they got 25 flavors of hookah , - 100 bottles, choice of goose , Jack or Hennessy . Free admission 7 nights a week . The best u can get :) read more

[PLEASE READ] the absolute WORST service, the food is dry, un salted, un seasoned and poorly cooked. The waitress, greeter, and manager were all nasty and under trained. The music does not cater to any other genre with the exception of Latin and Bollywood, however the Dj was very welcoming and opened to request. They force you to get bottle service and automatically take a 20% "service fee" which adds on 20 plus dollars. Overall I would not recommend, I would rather mop the oceans floor before entering this establishment again and I recommend eating at Chucky cheese before this place. Stay safe. read more
