I had a ~10' conifer that I needed a price to transplant from the front to the back yard. Obv. having this done would only make sense if the cost to transplant was less than just buying a similar tree to plant in the back (then cutting down the one in front)[sorry, but as much as we like the current tree alive, it had to be an economic decision]. Short version of the story: I was quoted a very reasonable price to have the tree moved/transplanted, Mencos' crew (5 guys) was out the next day, and did a fantastic and quick job. Took them about 1.5 hours to dig out a big root cluster with dirt, strap the tree to a beam, and lug it to the back and re-plant it. Even shorter: I'd definitely hire them again for any tree work or landscaping, and plan on getting them back out to do a drip irrigation system for the front once we have it all planned and planted out.

OMG!!! This is a first for me!…read more We made an appointment and he didn't show or call. I called him when he was late. He had forgotten our appt bc they were busy on another job that had lots of problems. So to give him another chance I let him know my following Monday was open. He never called so I called him back at 4:30 on that following day. He'd forgotten about me again!!! He made excuses when I called him but he hadn't called to reschedule. So I let him know I'd pass this along on Yelp where I got his name bc it said he (was) 5 Star. I had to call him back. I can understand being busy but at least have the courtesy of letting ppl know and not leave them hanging so we can find someone else. Shame on him!
