Lamp Doctor fixed two of my lamps quickly and professionally - I recommend them to anyone in Santa Fe that needs lamp repair.

I called Allied Electric because of a problem involving power going to the well shed that ran the…read morepump that watered my horses. This was a bit of an emergency and I was so happy they would give me a free estimate the next day for what it would take to fix it. Eric came out and checked everything out and thoroughly explained what needed to be done. He said I probably wouldn't Have the estimate until the end of next week because there was a three day weekend coming up. I was so happy that it looked like relief was in sight for my horses that I gave Eric a $50 tip., I was so appreciative! Well weeks went by and no Estimate. I called the second week and no one called me back. Three weeks later I finally got him on the Phone and now it was suddenly up to the owner as to whether he would want to do the job. STILL NO ESTIMATE. Eric said he knew someone who would do the job if the owner didn't. He never got back to me. Still no estimate. The next day someone called, bragged about himself for about 15 minutes and I never heard from him again. So, I never got an estimate. And evidently the owner wasn't interested in my emergency. The fact that my horses were without water meant nothing to Eric nor did the $50 tip (which he did not ask for). He never mentioned the owner when he was here explaining what needed to Be done. He gave the impression I would have the estimate in a week and the work could be done after that . These people do not care about your problems. The so called "free estimate" was a bad joke. Do not waste your time with such a badly run and totally inconsiderate way they do business. At Allied s electric no good deed goes unpunished.

When I spoke to the "estimator," he indicated that no one had sent him the photos that they requested and I provided. Finally got an estimate and it did deduct the PNM rebates as promised. Wouldn't return calls or emails. Terrible customer service. Do not recommend.

Electrical Services is terrific. Great customer service for scheduling and great electricians who…read moreare, not only really good at what they do, but are friendly and professional. We had a couple of issues with lighting and I called several places before I could find someone who could come out the same week: that place was Electrical Services. Not only did they come out and do the job we needed, the electrician, Allen, suggested a few things we could do to save ourselves money. We really appreciated that. Their tagline is, "WE DO IT ALL. WE'LL EVEN CHANGE A LIGHT BULB". Truth is, we did need some lightbulbs changed! We have a newer home that has recessed lighting in every room with those newfangled LED lights we've never dealt with before. I felt silly, but I really didn't know what to do. They replaced those for us. They also added a new sconce in a dark bathroom and replaced the recessed lighting in our narrow stairwell with pendant lights. The lighting in the stairwell was 15 feet up which is insane. Allen suggested pendant lights. We bought some and Allen came back and got them installed with no problem at all. The stairwell is gorgeous now. It made such a huge difference. And, in the future, when the lightbulbs go out, they're low enough that we'll be able to replace them ourselves. This is also going to be a nice selling point when we decide to move. The price was more than fair for all the work they put into this. Thank you!

(I don't understand why Yelp says I live in San Francisco. I never have lived there.) I have had this company to my home three times. Once was about four or five years ago and the other two happened in August 2026. In each case there were two tasks, one of which was successfully handled and the other one was mishandled, although I did not know the initial job was bungled until Aug. 6, 2026, when a workman from Electrical Services pointed out the error and quickly corrected it. (The first case, in roughly 2022 or 2021, involved outdoor lights.) In the recent cases, I called Electrical Services because my smoke detector went off in late July. The company sent a man on Aug. 6. I paid $324.56. The man was polite and prompt. He said the problem was simply a bad battery. I gave him a new battery and he said all was good. Other than pointing out a flashing green light on the device, he did not otherwise inspect or test the device. I also had him look at my other 4 smoke detectors to see if there was a warning light on. There was not. However, the smoke detector problem recurred again in late August. Prior to that, because I thought the first job was done correctly, on Aug. 20 I had the company come back to fix an entirely separate issue, which was taken care of competently. At that time, I asked the repairman why the red warning light on the original detector would occasionally flash. He said he did not know. He shrugged his shoulders and did not touch or inspect the smoke detector in any way. I paid $162.28 because he did fix the unrelated electrical problem. A few days later, the smoke detector malfunctioned again. I called the owner of the company, Scott Rosenberg, on Aug. 31 and he said it would be good to replace the device. I agreed and said I didn't want to be responsible for the $150 travel charge again as his employee had been to my home twice already without fixing the issue. He said he would call back the following day. He didn't. Finally, on Sept. 11 I called again and asked to talk to Scott. He didn't call back. As of Sept. 15 I still have not heard back. I simply want a 50 percent refund of the charges of Aug. 6 and Aug. 20 as half of the work was completed correctly. It is dangerous to have a defective smoke detector and it really bothers me that this company is so cavalier about this issue. I firmly believe that every company should return calls from dissatisfied customers. This simply hasn't happened here.
