I visited this restaurant last Sunday and ordered the Spicy Chicken Bowl to dine in. While I was eating, I found a large cricket in my food. I immediately informed the staff, and they asked the manager to come speak with me. Instead of apologizing, she insisted, "We don't have any bugs here." I responded that I had not left the restaurant, so the insect clearly did not come from anywhere else. She then said that everything they serve arrives pre-packaged, which did not address the issue or explain how a cricket ended up in my meal. Her responses made no sense, and there was no genuine concern or accountability. They offered me a refund, but I wasn't looking for my money back. I was expecting a sincere apology and for the issue to be taken seriously. I do not recommend eating by dirty restaurant managed this way. read more

Large Bug/Roach/beetle in the arugula. Thankfully, we saw it before she put it on our bowl. The worker/manager tried to hide what it was, but when I asked loudly several times, if it was a bug, she had to answer yes, and stated that they commonly find bugs in the arugula since it's bagged through a third-party. Completely unacceptable disgusting and disappointed that all the staff cowardly went along with her irresponsible and unaffected response. Then I called to try to speak with another manager, and a man answered the phone, and also tried to justify that Beatles or bugs are commonly found in the arugula. This is absolutely disgusting. This is an awesome spot offering fresh and quick meals. I ended up ordering the Steak + Harissa bowl and a side of the pita chips. The meal was $15 but was so filling and totally worth the price. I ended up saving half for dinner. I like the amount of variety the menu offers and I want to try the lamb meatballs on my next go round. The only thing I'd do differently is to order the sauce on the side. There's a lot of flavors going on in the bowl so I'd maybe want to add less of the vinaigrette that comes with it. FINALLY WE HAVE A CAVA IN NORTH PINELLAS OMG. It was delicious, as expected. Rather noisy location off 19 but great patio dining. Staff was delightful, truly. If you haven't been to Cava before, please understand this: build your own bowl, add all the toppings (they're basically free). You can do splits like half chicken, half falafel...half lentil, half rice, etc. which gives you ultimate flexibility and customizability. So I'm leaving at 5 because I felt bad I know they mean well it's the first week being open. I came in on a Sunday afternoon. They are out of everything. The portion sizes are definitely tiny compared to when I would go to the Seminole location. Everyone seems nice some of the food line employees are slow, but probably a new job for them so they're still learning overall they food they did have was delicious as always and I'm still happy they put one closer to home so I don't have to drive 15 miles. Not sure what the hype is all about. I have been there 3 times now and each time I find it to be extremely difficult to order due to an overly complicated business model to order including non transparency (1st visit), difficult to follow quickly marketing (2nd visit), very over priced for what you get (3rd visit). I literally just paid about $10 for barely a base and vegetable protein so I could then travel behind the store to Publix to add my own salmon. Got home. Added my own advacado (restaurant prices are ridiculous) and goat cheese only to learn after mixing it all up that the rice was very hard and not cooked all the way. I literally kick myself because I should have just ordered for my teen and made my own bowl at home since I would have had all the left over ingredients to roll a meal over for my lunch. Lesson learned for being an over extended Mom. Back to just ordering for kids and fending for myself. How not so lovely! read more

Our 20 year old son has been raving about CAVA for a while now, so we finally went. The food here was super tasty, healthy - and we got a lot. You get to make all the choices to make the perfect dish. Service was efficient and excellent. Ambiance was like normal restaurant when I went. Only a few customers, but everyone was enjoying their meal. My wife and I really enjoyed our 2 meals. I love the fact they have a recipe card to remind the servers of what specific food to mix for each menu item. Well, well, well! We finally tried this place and WOW! What a burst of flavors and taste and an overall great experience. With it being our first time, the employees helped us navigate the menu. I tried to look at it online, but that was a little much for me - I NEEDED TO SEE IT - especially since I'm so picky lol. Great location and environment, and I will definitely come back. I even found something that my picky self would be able to order again and again. I love the fact that they offer so many healthy options for their customers. Horrible. The food/rice was so salty and I had to throw away the whole bowl. The hot red hummus tasted like tomato paste. I would have sent it back if I hadn't taken it to go. They also ran out of to go lids and when I asked for another bowl to cover my to go order I was informed that they were also short on to go bowls and couldn't spare anymore. I was extremely excited to find out that I had a CAVA near me, which also meant I did not have to drive 13 miles away to get some CAVA... & man did the excitement only continue when i remembered how great CAVA really is. It was fairly late, around 9:30 yet they had all ingredients needed, fresh & ready to go. However that wasn't the best part, the best part was it didn't seem like the employees for the ones paying for the food portions... these guys LOADED my bowl up, something that Chipotle continuously FAILS to do. Not only that the guys were open to recommending me stuff in which they nailed every single recommendation. I unfortunately won't be returning to Cava after a disappointing experience. When I walked in, everything seemed fine at first. I was ordering a build-your-own bowl, and as I got to the vegetable toppings, I pointed (from behind the glass) to what I wanted. The staff member abruptly scolded me, saying "Do not point!" in a rude tone. I was confused and apologized, not understanding what I had done wrong. She explained it was a health hazard, but my hand was never over the glass, and I physically couldn't have reached over even if I tried. Trying to move past that, I continued my order and went to pay. A different employee asked if I was a rewards member. I said no and asked how to sign up, but was told there'd be a code on my receipt. It felt like she didn't want to take the time to help in the moment. When I got home, there was no code on the receipt. To top it off, the food was far too salty and just not enjoyable. I was so happy CAVA finally arrived near me but the last few times we've gone the customer service has been terrible by one employee, we felt so rushed and he had a miserable attitude towards us like he absolutely hated his job. Skimped on everything and I felt upset upon leaving bc of the bad experience last few times and sad I can't go back bc I really don't want to feel like that again. Hopefully management can handle and train their employees to have better customer service and not hate towards the paying customers. So excited to have a Cava in our Palm Harbor neighborhood! We went to the soft opening this evening, March 5. The line was long, but the staff was organized and did a good job of keeping it moving. The food was fresh and delicious. Portions were smaller than we usually get at other Cava locations...for example, a side order of hummus was just a spoonful rather than the typical scoop. This was a pre-opening event and hopefully once they open to the public they will give the usual full size portions. We will definitely be back! read more

I've ordered pickup 5 times now and every single time it's been missing something - Pita chips, carrots, hummus, etc. Last week i went to pick up and even told the manager about how things are always missing - She was nice about it and told me to report it on the app after I order - Helpful but doesn't really solve the problem. I got home and upon opening my bowl, the avocado was missing. Super frustrating to spend $40 for 2 and to have food missing every single time. I've been to this place twice now and both times they have been out of key items before 9 and the service has been like cold molasses. there is no sense of urgency in their service at all. I stood in line for about 10 min while I watched the staff flounder around aimlessly. Another 5 people came in after me and waited atleast 5 minutes before they were even greeted. I can understand trying to close ,however, this level of consistent bad service is very disappointing.
