This is located in the USC village. I had to park on the street and walk back. When I came in around 6pm they were out of the steak. They said 15-20 minute wait. It ended up being a 35 minute wait. This was my first visit to Cava and I did not enjoy the meal. The saffron basmati rice was dry and hard. I also ordered the lentils which was fine. CAVA is another 10/10 spot and they definitely are worth coming back again! So it was time for lunch and I was ready for some Mediterranean inspired food. They are a chipotle but Mediterranean inspired food . You order the base plus protein plus sides toppings and sauce and dressing. Came on a Saturday for lunch. It was on the busier side but still very manageable. The lines moved fast. They were out of the roasted corn though but besides that, no complaints with service or food. We found a table outdoors and were able to enjoy our meal there. From the reviews, it seems like weekdays are swarmed with customers, especially USC students. Weekends here at USC Village is nice because there's CAVA, Trader Joe's, and Target here and there's 2 hours free parking! I really have enjoyed cava and have been able to visit a few different locations and have orders delivered to my office with no problems. However, my recent visit to cava at the USC village was not so pleasant. The line was long, but I was free that day so I waited patiently and took my time deciding what I wanted to order. When I got to the front, I was ready to order the falafel bowl and figured it would be a simple order and ordered it as is on the menu. The employees on the assembly line were moving quickly, trying to get the line to move as fast as possible, which I understood, but I noticed that as the gentleman was quickly making my bowl he missed a few key ingredients so when my bowl arrive to the middle person for the dressing, I let them know that my bowl was missing the feta cheese and the corn that I had asked, and the pita chip on top. The young woman was annoyed and did a side roll with her eyes and was very annoyed that I was asking for these items. I understand the person before was supposed to have completed this task, but they disappeared when I wanted to bring it up then as she was reaching for the pita chips, there were no more so I said I could wait. I get to the register and the young man at the register said well it's gonna be a while and I said it's OK. I can wait. I'll wait on the side. There were a lot of people waiting on the side so I figured it would get done, but unfortunately what ended up happening was as the minutes ticked and passed. I continued to be ignored. I noticed the pita chips were pretty much done after about 10 minutes and that people in the line we're getting their chips, but I still didn't have mine and when I tried to interrupt the gentleman at the register, he was so overloaded with orders that he continued to ignore me so after about 15 minutes I left. Overall, I didn't think that it made sense for them to ask me to wait if they were not going to eventually get back to me. Also it probably would've just been easier for them to give me an extra pita or large pita chips or some sort of complementary item given that they felt that they could not produce what was needed for the salad that I paid for. I love cava and am so happy that there are so many locations in Southern California now! The service is usually pretty fast and the quality never suffers. I usually get a salad bowl with falafel, red pepper hummus, harissa and tzatziki, all the veggies, pita crisps and tahini. The falafel is always warm and crispy. The flavors continue to complement the ingredients in my bowl. It lasts two meals and hits both times. Affordable and delicious. Highly recommend if you haven't tried it! read more

I had a very disappointing experience at the CAVA at USC. I waited in line for over 25 minutes because there were only two employees working the serving line during a busy period. The restaurant clearly needed at least three, if not four, people on the line to keep up with customer demand. Manager Tommy appeared to spend most of the time directing employees and jumping on the register when needed instead of actively supporting the serving line where help was clearly needed. Effective leadership means stepping in to assist when the team is overwhelmed, but that didn't seem to be happening. It was also noticeable that several team members were standing around while customers continued waiting in line, which suggested the team wasn't being managed effectively or with a sense of urgency. There were also several operational issues. There was no ice available, the restaurant had run out of pita chips because they weren't being prepared consistently throughout the day, the dining area wasn't being cleaned regularly, and the restroom was dirty. After finally receiving my meal, I found the lentils to be severely undercooked, which made the food even more disappointing after such a long wait. The one bright spot was that the staff members themselves were friendly and courteous. Unfortunately, friendliness alone couldn't make up for the poor management, lack of organization, and overall customer experience. I hope Tommy and the leadership team take steps to improve staffing, food quality, cleanliness, and customer service because CAVA is usually a restaurant I enjoy. read more

I am writing this review to warn other customers and hope management takes immediate action. I placed a pickup order through the app on June 16, 2026, between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. When I arrived, the service was completely unacceptable. The employee simply handed me the food containers and told me to pack them into the bag myself. To make matters worse, they completely forgot to include the pita bread, napkins, and utensils. I literally had to assemble my own pickup order. What made it even worse was the staff's behavior. The female employee (whose name sounded like Jocelyn or Jacelin) and another young male employee were giggling and laughing right in front of me while I was dealing with this. It felt incredibly disrespectful. I just want management to strictly retrain their staff. Basic hospitality and ensuring orders are complete should be the absolute bare minimum. Had heard that cava was similar to sweet greens so wanted to try it when I was visiting LA. We found out there was one at the airport and decided to try an LA exclusive over jersey mikes. There was only about 5 people infront of me but the line was crazy with online orders or so on, so it felt like a lot longer. If I could do it again I would do the online order as it was a lot of waiting that I didn't expect. They also messed up my order as I ordered a harissa avocado which comes with standard chicken but for some reason they gave me steak, they did quickly fix it when I asked but it as a bit annoying. I get to be expected with airport service . Cava is located in a a sort of food court with lots of open tables with multiple restaurants in the same area. Overall it was good, and I would try it again at a non airport busy spot as it would probs have better service, no diss it's just to be expected at a busy airport. read more

First off, The food here is amazing! Healthy and delicious. But so far both times that I've eaten here I've had problems with the service. The first time I came here with my girlfriend. It was busy at the time and she felt rushed so when they asked her what two proteins she wanted she could only decide on one. But instead of offering her both portions to be the same protein or just giving her two scoops of the same, the server only gave her one portion. I was ahead of her in line so I didn't see this happen but when we sat down to eat I looked at her bowl and it was significantly smaller than mine and she told me what happened. I paid for a full bowl but she received half. The second time my girlfriend ordered a bowl for me when I was recovering from surgery. When the food arrived neither of the two sauces that I wanted were in the bag and neither was the free pita. Sauce is a big deal with these bowls! It's half the flavor! The sticker on the bag lists both sauce sides and the pita so whoever packed the bag just wasn't paying attention. Again the food here is great and if you walk in and pay attention to what they are doing you won't have either of these problems. I'm just a little disappointed that both times I've eaten here I paid for something that I didn't get. read more

This is by far one of the worst locations I've been to. The staff here always look miserable and act like helping customers is a burden.On top of that, the portions are consistently terrible. They skimp heavily on serving sizes, especially when ordering online. Every time I've ordered a bowl through the app, it arrives with barely any food in it nowhere near the amount you're supposed to get. Considering how pricy the food can be, it's unacceptable to be paying full price and receiving what looks like half a serving. Between the rude attitude from staff and the constant issue with portions, this location clearly doesn't care about customer experience. I'd call this place the Mediterranean version of Chipotle without Chipotle's stinginess. You make your own bowl here, choosing from a variety of bases (saffron rice, regular rice, romaine, greens blend, etc). Then you choose a variety of dips (red pepper hummus, roasted eggplant) and proteins (lamb, honey chicken, grilled chicken, falafel, etc). Then toppings and sauces. And of course, get the pita on the side. I appreciate how much chicken they scoop onto the bowl - it's double what Chipotle puts. They also have a huge selection of toppings and extras that make your bowl fun and flavorful. I've tried many combinations of bowls and the one thing I'd say is that the flavor profile is capped. Like, you know what to expect and it's as good as it gets no matter the combination. Maybe changing the meat will make it 10% better, but overall the flavor profile is pretty standard. Love this place for a post-gym, light meal that won't make your stomach feel terrible. Huge portion too, I always save half.
