Well let's see. Upon arrival the place was very dirty and they had chairs blocking the way to the bathroom (I think the teens running the place didn't want to bother cleaning it) The girl serving was extremely rude and acted like we were a bother. I've included the pic of my BURNT lamb that she put on my plate and acted like nothing was wrong. I didn't say anything. I'm not that B. I just write a review and contact corporate. For La Jolla they better get it together. read more

CAVA - My Spicy Lamb Ball Who was the cook that thought this was okay??????? - Mediterranean Near Me - La Jolla, California

It was pretty good. I liked the amount of options and customization. The workers were very chill, I liked the worker who was dancing while making my bowl. Bathroom Review: N/A read more

First time here and the food is SO good and fresh. I opted for a build your own bowl with falafel. There are so many options for proteins, bases, toppings, and sauces too. I love that the bowl comes with free pita bread, it's the perfect side. All the food looks and tastes delicious, its very obvious that it's made from high quality ingredients. Definitely skipping chipotle and coming to CAVA next time. The service was excellent, the line moves fairly quickly even when it's busy. A bowl costs about $12 and was plenty for 2 meals for me so definitely worth your money. There's plenty of parking in the attached parking lot and tons to do in the nearby shopping plaza. read more

Amazing food, never disappoints! Been coming here for years and it always the same, super delicious.

I love Cava but HATE their mobile ordering. I've never picked anything up at the time that I request my order to be ready and they're always at LEAST 30 min late. If I'm picking up an order for 11am, it should be ready at 11am. It shouldn't be started at 11:10and me leaving with the order at 11:30 :/ The food is fresh here and tastes amazing which is why I keep going but it's just so frustrating that they never have the orders done on time and they don't even apologize like wtf read more

Went here yesterday and when I finally got to the front of the line they said they were out of chicken, steak, and vegetables. Worker was nice though. I feel like they need to do a better job cleaning as well and keeping the work station and floor sanitary. read more

How come a chef doesn't understand if the rice isn't cooked all the way? Shame! The long waiting times are another reason I wouldn't go back. read more

My issue with Cava is that much of the chef-curated flavors get lost in the more prominent ones. This is an issue of balance. Yet, the Harissa Avocado bowl was a flavor bomb. An interesting experiment would be to remove one ingredient at a time until the flavor profile changes; this would identify which ingredients are unnecessary and thereby save money. Who wants to put on a white lab coat and conduct this experiment? read more

I came in with my sister to order pita wraps and unfortunately had a negative experience with one of the employees. I didn't catch his name, but he was a younger man, possibly Asian. While preparing my food, he rushed me through my order and seemed irritated the entire time. When it was time to pay, he tossed my sandwich on the counter and said, "Here you go," in a dismissive tone. I understand it was close to closing time, but it was not yet closing time--and as someone who has worked in fast food, I know that every customer should be treated with respect, regardless of the hour. Thankfully, the manager on duty was kind. He didn't rush my sister's order and even offered us free pita chips, which I appreciated. Still, the attitude of the other employee left a bad impression. As a Black woman, it's hard not to feel like I was treated differently, and I hope this is addressed with your team so that no one else has to feel disrespected or unwelcome. read more

Yummy, fresh, foods. Energetic hard-working staff. We need one in San Ramon. I hope our City Council will be reading this review.

Fresh ingredients, really helps when you're trying to eat healthy and stay on track. Usually crowded, so pack your patience, but well worth the wait. read more

My first time at Cava and I was impressed! Although the line was long and there was a wait, the workers were super nice and had good suggestions. I like how many free options there are for toppings and how there's just the right amount of options for each sauce/ dip too! I think the flavors blended really well together and overall felt like a healthier option. I guess like they say- it's a healthier Chipotle. I also like how they have different drink options aside from the typical sodas. There is plenty of parking but I have to say the plaza does get really busy. I would definitely come here again for a quick meal to grab. read more

It depresses me that we don't have Cava in San Francisco. We need one!! Think of cava like chipotle for Mediterranean food. So much cheaper to go in person and order instead of through a delivery service like uber eats. The harissa avocado bowl is so yum. Perfect amount of spice and my go to everytime. I always ask for a side of warm pita to eat it with. Whatever bowl you get, you must get the crazy feta- never had anything like it. The refreshers are great. Cucumber mint is my favorite, but they have iced tea and lemonade too. Don't let the line deter you as they are pretty quick with getting your food ready. It is the same kind of line like Chipotle does. Perfect for a lunch on a weekday, they have a few tables outside and mostly indoor seating. I'd recommend to grab and go read more

I tried ordering online before going to work and it said my order would be rady at 12:15 on the app and 12:27 on text. It wasn't ready until well after 12:35 and when I asked for a refund they refused to give me one claiming they were just "busy" and had like 40 orders. And the cherry on top? They gave me the wrong order. They did fix it in a timely manner so that was good but yeah, overall horrible experience and will not be back. read more

Johnny and Brandon provided amazing service. I usually only get the premade pita options, but they helped guide me build my perfect bowl. Without them, I wouldn't be able to craft such a beautiful meal. I couldn't believe how delicious it was. I think I'm in love. read more

This place is seriously so freaking good! It was my first time today after hearing so much about it. I built my own bowl starting with greens and grains! Super greens and saffron basmati rice. Followed by crazy feta and harissa spread. For the protein, I choose the harissa honey chicken (extra charge). I did all the toppings except for olives( not a fan) and for the dressing, I picked yogurt dill and a side of Greek vinaigrette. You can also chose to have a side of pita bread. The serving size was enough to make it two meals. This place definitely won my heart. The chipotle of Mediterranean food. Ugh so goood! If you don't want a bowl, you can also choose for a pita wrap! They also have some already pre made selections if you don't want to build your own bowl/pita. Lots of indoor seating space and beverage choices as well! 100/100 must try!!! read more

I've been to this location multiple times before. When I visited last week, the staff was not friendly. When I was about to order, she didn't look like she wanted to work there. I also noticed that the bowl quantity has significantly reduced. I do LOVE all their sauces read more

Went because the chicken always smells so good, but it's food poisoning waiting to happen. All forms of meat looked weird and like they've been sitting for hours. Rice was super dry also like it had been sitting there for hours. I'm very lucky I didn't get sick from eating there. Definitely not worth the money. Staff was friendly and quick that's the only reason for a star. read more

This is my first time at CAVA. Do not order ahead on a weekday during lunch. I beg of you. I ordered on the app at 11:20 am. I'm still sitting here at 12:16 pm waiting for my order. I can't tell you about the food because I haven't gotten it yet. Still waiting.... Update: Finally got my food! An hour later. Updated from 1 star to 3 because it was actually pretty good. I would still never order ahead because when I opened it, I was really sad to see that it was like half empty. I was sitting there for an hour watching them make the bowls for customers that walked in and saw that they were really generous. I guess not the guy making the online orders. Still really sad and will be for a long time because I feel like I didn't get my moneys worth. My bowl was $14.28 including tax. I just noticed that this delayed mobile ordering situation is a thing at Cava by looking at last reviews. I wish I knew this beforehand. read more

Healthy and tasty fast food no doubt, but too much on the pig slop side. CAVA serves salads and pita wraps. You either pick what you want in your wrap or salad or order off of a small menu. My drenched-in-dressing Crispy Falafel could have been at least good were it not for it being served wet, almost like a wet rag. The workers there were new--I could tell this since they were making our orders with reference to a recipe (one scoop of this, a scoop of that, and so on), so the novice nature of them could have contributed to the wet rag; indeed, in retrospect, I was at the time of the soaking of the rag with salad dressing thinking "well they're just hosing it on, aren't they?" but I believed it was normal, it being a vegetarian wrap after all, so it needed some taste. Yes, tasty, but falling apart due to the dressing dissolving the wrap, one dressing of which wasn't in the recipe so they had to substitute a different one--and no, the wrap wasn't soggy because of travel time from CAVA to our dining destination, which was only a few minutes away (we ordered takeout as the pics suggest). On the way out, I was annoyed by the trash can area. It looked like it hadn't been wiped down in hours, like someone took a small scoop of pig slop and spread it all around. Real fast food has better presentation and cleanliness. Two stars for good taste, but lacking one of the true ingredients, hard to eat because of disintegration, and the trash area. read more

Customer service was horrible and extremely rude - I was overcharged for my bowl and i brought it to their attention. The manager (i think) offered a drink instead, but I politely declined and asked if he can just refund and recharge me instead since I didn't want a drink. There was no apology and his response was "it's $3 can i just give you a drink" even after i declined. I felt extremely uncomfortable, and I left feeling like I was in the wrong even though he didn't even try to refund/recharge me. read more

Aja and Wade were fantastic and so kind! They always go above and beyond and make sure the food and experience are top notch.

I've been to CAVA several times and usually have a great experience but I was really disappointed tonight. I ordered the new Market Spice bowl and the portion I received was half of what I usually get?? There was barely any rice, and they ran out of cucumber, corn and broccoli which was supposed to come with the bowl but didn't tell me at all? I wish it was made known beforehand that they're out of certain ingredients because it's not really fair to have to take half a bowl you're expecting. and for the rice, there was a bunch so is it just a server portioning problem? Also, this bad experience was around 8pm, if that matters. Just dropping stars because of the inconsistency. read more

OMG this fast food business is in the concept of Chipotle you walk the line and order your additional items. The unique part of the restaurant is that additional items are Mediterranean style. In addition braised Lamb is offered as a main ingredient which again is not commonly offered at most eating establishments. Prices are also very reasonable considering the large portion served (steak, lamb). A definite must for foodies. read more

Great food, the hot harissa pita chips are amazing and the service is always great. Brandon specifically is super chill.

cava is SOOO good. it's basically a mediterranean style of chipotle. i always build my own bowl and you get a choice of rice/greens (i get half saffron rice & half romaine lettuce), a protein (the harissa honey chicken is so good, but it does cost a little extra so i normally just opt for the grilled chicken since it's just as good), 3 sauces (i get tzatziki, traditional hummus, and roasted eggplant), and unlimited toppings (they have soo many for ex. broccoli, roasted corn (fav), diced tomato & onion, cucumbers, etc.). you also have the option of getting dressing(s?), but i've never tried any because it's saucy enough without any for me. a MUST though is to get the pita chips with this. they are sooo yummy and flavorful and crispy and goes so well with the bowl. it elevates it to a whole nother level. i've gotten cava soo many times, but trust me you can't get enough of it. read more

As many people have mentioned, this is essentially Chipotle, but with a Mediterranean flair and BETTER. A bowl here is a dollar or two more than what you would get get at Chipotle, but everything here is ridiculously fresh and insanely delicious. Plus, your ability to customize is off the charts! Case in point, if you opt for a salad, they have a plethora of salad bases including arugula, spinach, romaine, and mixes including SuperGreens and SplendidGreens. You will absolutely find a combination that works for you :) Highlights: - Crazy Feta (Dips/Spreads): It's a feta mousse infused with jalapeño and it is the best combination of fluffy, salty, and creamy. - Roasted Eggplant (Dips/Spreads): Eggplant seasoned well is criminally underrated - Harissa Honey Chicken (Protein): This does cost a dollar extra, but the sweet and spicy marinade on the chicken is so delicious. Their harissa is awesome and absolutely shines through. NOTE: Ask for a side of pita if you're getting a bowl; it's free, freshly toasted, and scrumptious! This location specifically tends to have a bit of a line, especially if you're swinging by for lunch. However, don't be discouraged, it does move rather quickly. read more
